Using the ExtendScript Toolkit, it was clear that when photoshop loaded, ScriptUI was not getting created - any of the objects associated with ScriptUI returned undefined in the console, but the rest of ExtendScript was up and running. Even more odd was that these objects DID exist right up until you started Photoshop.
Turns out that our CS5 install has TWO copies of the ScriptingSupport.8li plug in - one in /Plug-ins/Extensions the other in /Plug-ins/Automate. Photoshop seems fine with multiple copies of a plugin, and only loads one of them. However, only the plugin in /Extensions has the additional ScriptUIFlexServer.swf, ScriptUIFlexServer-app.xml and ScriptUIFlexPhotoshop.swf files alongside it that appear to be necessary for ScriptUI to load properly. This appears to be a historical side-effect of the way we install CS, but it's a pretty easy situation to get into.
So, when Photoshop starts it chooses which of the plugins to load and if it loads the one in /Automate, ScriptUI is broken and anything that tries to open a window fails with Error 22.However, photoshop also caches the plugin locations, so once it's loaded the wrong one, it always does so, until you trash the preferences, whereupon it chooses which one to load again. This is why deleting the prefs works most of the time, even for our installation.
The real solution is to make sure you have only one plugin that has the ScriptUI files with it For us, this meant deleting ScriptingSupport.8li from /Plug-ins/Automate, but you might find you need to reinstall the ScriptUI files.
I cannot remedy the CS3 blank-screen problem on my Mac (Safari OS) with the suggested fix, as I don't get an error window saying "Never Register" after disconnecting internet and re-launching CS3.
When Civil 3D 2013 came out I downloaded it and installed it. I imediately discovered that when selecting my window during plotting by window, if I zoomed or panned I would not be able to pick any points and would have to hit escape SEVERAL times to get it to exit out of the selection command. AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 Hotfix 1 solved the problem and all was good.
When our office decided to all move to 2013 last month (DEC 2012) I installed it on the workstations then installed the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 Service Pack 1 skipping the hotfix. I assumed it was included (WHICH IT STATES THEY ARE IN THE README). Sadly I was wrong because we are experiencing the same issue all over again. All of our workstations that installed 2013 and then SP1 without installing the Hotfixes.
I have tried to install Hotfix 1 on these workstations but it doesn't install on the SP1 version AND there is no way to uninstall SP1 without uninstalling Civil 3D all together.
We need this to get fixed sooner than later because it is a major hassel to lock up everytime we go to plot.
After using the program for a few weeks it appeared the error message "An error has occurred while drawing the contents of this window" only when I open the 3D view. I reset the Windows user profile and everything is back to normal operation. Today has come out again this error screen. Video drivers are certified and the board is a Nvidea Quadro and normally I have no problems. To test I created a new user and everything works fine. What could alter the software related to user profile?
New to Revit. Using 2012. I'm trying to add a double hung window to a wall and get the following error message:
Can't make type "Double Hung with Trim : 36" x 48" - Error 1 -- Windows : Double Hung with Trim : 36" x 48" - Mark 22 : id 172423 -- Type : Windows : Double Hung with Trim : 36" x 48" : id 172439
I get the same error message no matter what size I try to use
I closed a document in AI CS5. Now when I try to reopen it, I get an error message about there not being enough room in the window, increase document area. How do I do that since I can't get the file opened? Am I doomed to having a file that can no longer be opened?
When I double-click an AI-file to open it, Illustrator resize/minimize it's own window. Sometime so much that Illustrator itself reply with the error: "Can't open the Illustration. There is not enough room for the window; Increase document area and try again."
If I open a file (browse for it) from within Illustrator it works fine and Illustrator keeps whatever windows-size I have chosen.

This repeats around 100 times in the command line when adding view port to a sheet. "ERROR: Could not generate sash area from window section profile. I'm using ACA 2013 on windows7 64bit. I've tried purging and audit but still happens. It wouldn't bother me except its taking for ever to wait for them to stop running in command line.
I have a problem with "tools/window attributes/configure current"when I try to configure current window (especialy tabulator spaces 8 -> 2) I got fatal error: unhandled access violation Writing 0x0000 Exception at cc424946h

When I suppress a part or a sub-assembly in Inventor 2013 and then right click on the suppressed item in the browser window I always get an cadabundus error message (see attachment), after I press OK I get the normal right click menu hovering over the item.
I have Inventor 2013 RTM 64 bit Build 138, and running on Vista 64bit.
I have just installed my newly purchased PSC5 extended software. When I try to use the ACR it will load and I can use it but when I try to open, save or cancel my image I cannot. This is because the ACR window is too 'long' for my Sony desktop window and the buttons I am trying to access are in the 'shadow' of the desktop window. When I try to resize the ACR window to access the buttons it will let me adjust it on the vertical window edges but not on the horizontal window edges. I have to reboot the laptop to do anything at all.
I'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0. Everything was working fine til this mornin. I've had the program for about a year now. When I tried to open it this morning I got this error message that popped up.
It says:
Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.
As a new user I really prefer the single window mode but have a real problem in that every time I open a filter the window/box that open opens up underneath the single window and I cant see it without minimising the main gimp window. I've played with the preferences windows management options and seem to have all the file options curves etc on top now (these were opening under the single window at one point) but nothing I do seems to want to make the filter boxes open where I can see them - It's making GIMP quite unpleasant to use.
I modified a Window Family file by adding a Window inset parameter. When I inserted the window into a wall, otherwise the window worked fine, but when I changed the window's Window Inset value, the frame depth changed instead of the frame's location. The frame was originally made by Sweep tool, but now when I made it by Extrusion tool, the window works fine. Anyway, for future purposes, I would like to know how to be able to use the Window Inset parameter with a frame made by Sweep tool. How do I lock the depth of the frame sweep?
In the program window, it looks like its been pushed way in on the full image in the source window. No matter what I do, I can't get it to appear the same as in the source window...
Sometimes, when I have two or more drawings open in the same instance of AutoCAD, another tab opens up on the Windows Taskbar. Here's the scenerio; I have two drawings open. On the task bar, Autocad's icon shows two drawings open. Somewhere while drawing, AutoCAD will start bogging down, especially when switching drawings. On the Window's Taskbar, it will now show three drawings open. Two of which will be the same drawing. There will only be two drawings open. The drawing which is currently on top for editing will be the one that shows up twice. If I change to the other drawing, it takes a really long time to swap. Sometimes, it will sit there for a minute and then swap back to the other first drawing on it's own. I try going back to the second drawing again, and the same thing happens again. The only way to stop this from happening is to completely shut down AutoCAD and restart it. I think it has something to do with the ribbon. And I also notice it more often after doing a CopyBase, but not always.
When I use the quick selection tool (or when I use content-aware scaling) I get an error message saying "could not complete your request because of a program error." I am working with NEF files, 4 GB of RAM, fast machine with plenty of scratch space, Radeon X1950 crossfire graphics card. With small .jpg files, the problem doesn't occur.

Ive been trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS4 trial for the past 3 days. The only reason I want to try it is because of its ability to create textures directly on models. But whenever I try to install, I get this error"Adobe Drive CS4Error:Error 1603. Fatal error during installation." Dispite it not saying that Adobe Photoshop CS4 having an error, I still get this screen ....
