This repeats around 100 times in the command line when adding view port to a sheet. "ERROR: Could not generate sash area from window section profile. I'm using ACA 2013 on windows7 64bit. I've tried purging and audit but still happens. It wouldn't bother me except its taking for ever to wait for them to stop running in command line.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to remove the extra sash lines which, in plan, are meant to represent the sash below the cut plane? I want to keep the sash "nub" at adjacent to the frame, but remove the lines which run parallel to the glass.

I closed a document in AI CS5. Now when I try to reopen it, I get an error message about there not being enough room in the window, increase document area. How do I do that since I can't get the file opened? Am I doomed to having a file that can no longer be opened?

I just loaded Civil 3D 2013 last week and have been checking to see if flared end section depiction in profile views is any better than previous versions. I haven't noticed anything different. View 1 Replies View RelatedThe company I work for recently updated a few of our computers with the SP2 for Civil 3D 2013. After this update, every time I create a surface profile, things get all messed up. Like I have done dozens of times before, I create the profile then open the profile creation tools. I am using the draw tangents with curves tool and as soon as I click my first tangent point, it shows up about an inch over to the left. I have struggled through and used the grips to edit after the fact but this used to be a VERY easy task. FYI my snap isn't on or anything goofy like that and when opened on a computer without the service pack, it works as it should.

I just want to create a section from the point cloud, but the point cloud won't allow me to select it as an object in the 'Generate 2D/3D section' dialogue as it's not a solid/surface.
On an unrelated note, I find snapping to the point cloud impossible - is there an option in OSNAP that I'm missing? I've tried this with attached PCGs and RCP point clouds, no difference.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a hardware/software monitor calibrator to calibrate my desktop PC monitor for Photoshop work. However, when I transfer these photos to my phone, they display with an ugly color tint.
Is there anyway to display photos correctly on a cellphone or tablet that cannot be calibrated? In theory, it should be possible to generate a color profile for the phone/tablet and store the profile on a PC. Then I can convert photos to this color profile in Photoshop before transferring to the phone/tablet.
I have a cross section view with a canal section and a flat water surface section.
Is there a way for C3D to calculate the 2D area of the canal section that is under the water elevation?

When creating section view sheets how do I control where the section view is in relation to the print area. I understand I can use the data bands to force the sections left and right but what about vertically? I end up with sections drawn right on the line and the labels are outside the print area, see below.

We are implementing a new ERP system and we've programmed the configurator in it to build a price for us. We'd like to create a simple 2D drawing for us in AutoCAD based on some of the data from the configurator automatically. Is it possible using AutoCAD LT 2013 or do you need the full version to build something like this? Also, does this sound like it would require a lot of programming in CAD?

We are using iPart - iAssembly workflow with Inv-2013 and Vault Basic 2013
My question is related to released state of iparts. Currently we are generating/ releasing
all the iparts when new member is added in order to manintain the parent child version relationship
Example : say i have a ipart 41020.ipt and i have members 41020- 001 ~ 008 . I check out the parent
from Vault and add 009 member to it.
Question :
Do I have to generate all and check those in to maintain the version relationship between the child and parent inside
Vault 2013 ?
Or
Only generating 009 will maintain version relationship inside Vault 2013

I am trying to perform a sweep of a profile and I am unable to select the profile. I have a part with a plane through the part. I created a profile on this plane that I want to sweep along my path. However whenever I try to select the profile I am unable to, even when I sectioned the part to the created plane.

I want to be able to create a profile along the road section to demonstrate the surface level changes. I have created a network surface but Civ3D doesn't seem to able to use this type of surface to create a profile. Is there anything I can do, perhaps a way of transforming the network surface into another type of surface? Or am I going to have to manually create this profile in ACAD!
