I was checking out the styles in the shape tool tool box, and now I can't figure out how to reset it to no style. There is no option for this that I can see in the drop box menu, and I've tried right clicking.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recorded an action to create a transparent image on a batch of photos. Next I ran the image processor using the File/Scripts/image processor. When running the action the error message occurs no matter how many ways I attempt to modify the action. Error: The object "Style "Shape Style"" is not currently available.
I then look in the action window to check and under the steps Make Fill Layer: Style: Shape, Style 1 appears but I can't delete it. This one error message makes it impossible for me to image process a batch of photos with a watermark on them.
The brush tool shape changes when zooming into an image. Instead of the normal circle to indicate the area that will be affected by the brush, it turns into a large curved X, or a large half moon. Sometimes there are two, three or four horizontal ovals (instead of one circle) going across my image. When I continue to zoom in further, it returns to a circle. Caps Lock and is off. I discovered that when this happens, if I press the CTRL key, it returns to a circle

I cannot even understand HOW I could have made the Line Tool anything other than the Line as it's the Custom styles where you can select what Custom sytle cursor to use.
In Photoshop CS2 - I used to be able to select the current tool by clicking on it, but now when I click on a tool the window pops up with all the tools available. This happens when I click on any tool that has other options. Usually I would have to click and hold to view the pop up window of other tool options or right click on the arrow for that tool to get the pop up window of the other tools. I have tried resetting my prefeneces by deleting the Adobe Photoshop X Prefs.psp as mentioned in another blog on this site. But that hasn't helped. Any help would be greatly appreciated, other than telling me to upgrade to the current version os CS,
View 2 Replies View RelatedFirstly, I cant get the reset preferences window to appear, as isntructed, by holding ctrl/alt/shift down and opening the application - I just get the details of the shortcut. tried on the actual.exe file and still dont get the window as described.
secondly, the hand tool does not seem to work? I select it, the 4 options appear in the tool bar above and the little hand Icon, but clicking and dragging on the file in the open window, has no effect, I cant move the file around the window as I supposed to be able to do.
I just installed CD on my daughter's computer and her shape tool only allows for a free form selection by following the cursor in a free form way. My install allows for a rectangular click-and-drag type of selection. I see no options for this tool Is her install bad?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIm created a shape and on the first shape I put a stroke and now every shape I do has a stroke even if I dont want one. I keep having to delete it and also something is weird as when I create a shape and then click another the one I just created disappears. It says its a vector mask and so its not a shape and but I click the mask it appears but clicking or creating another shape it dissappears.Â

Okay so played around and it seems every new shape took on the fill of the previous shape which was 0. How do I stop new shapes from not having 0 fill?Â
It does trouble me especially during setting "drop shadow", "inner glow" and "stroke". In previous version, if this problem came up, I can solve it by clicking another layer and then double-clicking the original layer to pop up the style setting.

i recently updated to 5.3 and everything was great, just like normal.. then after an import of raw files, i selected one to develop and went to look for my "exposure" slider on the right side of the screen. it has disappeared??? i also am missing my simple saturation slider too. now i have an extremely indepth saturation sliders for every color. i have tried to reset tool settings, i have searched around, i even reinstalled lightroom hoping i would get it back to what i am used to...

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe issue is my Photo-Paint clone brush is messed up. It has been reset with F8 so I know it is back to the default. When you first click the Clone tool it shows the circle cursor, and when you right-click the 2nd circle turns into a paint brush icon.
I've never seen that in 6 years using Photo-Pain 12 and X4. Since a default reset doesn't work, I have no clue why this happens or what to do. It's nearly impossible to gauge where its going to paint with the clone because the cursor isn't a circle or square, just a picture of a paint brush .
When I try and use a round brush with 100% hardness, there is still significant dropoff in density from the center to the outside of the brush. Both the brush and layer are on "normal" mode. I've reset the brush tools. I've deleted the preference files for PSE10. What other settings should I be checking? I know that "brush flow" doesn't show up as a menu item in PSE10, but you can change it with keystrokes. I've messed with that and you can see the darkness of the brush change in the dropdown - I've set that to the "00" setting [shift-apple, ##], which I believe puts it to 100.

View 6 Replies View RelatedGPS'd fire hydrant locations. The GPS points were exported to shape files and using Data Connect, these points locate correctly in Map (using version 2009). The points have default styling...color, shape...and I want to use a CAD block of a fire hydrant to symbolize the points instead of the default square. Is this possible?Â
Clicking "Style" on the Display Manager to open the Style Point dialog box.
Next to the heading "Symbol:" clicking the ... button brings me to "Select a Symbol" pop up dialog box.
Next to the "Symbol Library:" drop down box, clicking the ... button brings me to the folder located at C://Program Files/AutoCAD Map 3D 2009/Sample/Symbols. There are 13 DWGs in this folder all called "Map - something.dwg" like "Map - electric.dwg" or "Map - water.dwg.Â
I can open any of these DWGs and they all provide multiple symbols to choose from in the "Select a Symbol" dialog box. However, none of these DWGs contain a symbol for a fire hydrant.Â
What other folders can be navigated to, in order to find other blocks?  Can other CAD blocks be used as shape file symbolization or does the prefix "Map - xxx" in this folder mean that only these specific drawings will open for shape file symbolization?
