I can't control text placement in photoshop 4. When I enter 2 letters, the line then zooms off to the right - right off the image. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn't work.

How can I install a recent version of Photoshop Elements and keep the albums set up in the older version?

I can create a text box using the edit panel but no text will appear in the box. the pointer or curser won't appear in the box. I was able to insert text the first time I used Elements 10 but not anymore.

Of all the ways to generate a leader (when the correct one to the center of the dim can't be generated), the extremely acute angle version doesn't seem like the best option.
how I can seperate the underline line in the text editor from the text? I can make the line thicker but place the line. I thought that there maybe an expression that controls the placement of the line.

I am trying to process large batches of photos with varying pixel counts, but they will all be printed at the same size in inches. I want a constant height text watermark on all of them, but since Photoshop only allows you to specify text height in "pixels," my watermarks end up at different relative sizes on each picture.
For simplicity, just consider 2 different pictures. One is 1700x2200 and the other is 2125x2750. I want to print each one at 8.5x11 with a 1/2" high watermark, via the same batch operation. Whatever pixel height I specify for the text in my watermark, it will be a different size in inches on each photo.
Is there any way to do this WITHOUT re-sampling the files as part of my batch operation? I don't like re-sampling when it's not necessary.
I've just watched the video based on Elements 10 showing how to create text that follows a shape etc. However, I don't get the submenu for the Type tool to enable me to do this.

I can see the text I've typed in the Layers palette but not on the page. I've rebooted and have no viruses. I'm running Win XP Pro if that info is needed. I used Photoshop Album and Photoshop Elements then to place thousands of tags on nearly 15,000 digital photos. I bought Photoshop CS5 few months ago and I find no way to use my information without going through my catalogs Photoshop Elements. Does that mean that thousands of my information will be useless if, in addition to Photoshop, I do not buy Photoshop Elements? I'd be willing to update my Albums Elements but why buy when I have the full version?
