Photoshop Elements :: Unable To Launch 11 On Windows 7?
Sep 25, 2012
I was able to successfully download and install the trial version of PS Elements 11 on 64 bit Windows 7. However, trying to open the program doesn't result in any error, it just won't launch. Even after rebooting I am not able to launch the program. My PS Elements 8 is still working fine.
Runing windows 8.1 on ACER Aspire 8920 4GB of RAM. Download and installation ran to completion without problem. But double clicking shortcut on desktop does not launch PSE12. It quits trying very quickly. I was running PSE 11 without problem. I was able to start PSE 12 by going to the Program folder. It told me that the Online services are not available. I continued and I had difficulties converting the catalog. I wasn't able to launch the Editor from the Organiser. I decided to try again from scratch by downloading the software with the downloader assistant. All went well, but the Launching.
I finally can get Organizer to run by using the new short cut I created but Editor refuses to display anything other than a small gray box on the upper right side of my desktop and a border that is missing a substantial amount of pieces!Â
Set Outlook as Default, but still it won't go. Then tried the Adobe Email service, but it won't send verification email. I"ve have uninstalled and reinstalled PSE11 - did not change. This should not be difficult.
several programs in cs6 cloud subscription don't work at all and in the programs that do at least load some of the tools don't work. the latest is Photoshop the text tool wont work.
I started having this problem 3 days ago. Suddenly one morning Photoshop CS4 stopped launching. The bad part is, there is no error message...nothing...it just won't launch. Other programs, including Bridge CS4 works fine, just Photoshop. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, this is a Dell XPS computer with 8GB of RAM
I'm having problems launching photoshop7 on a dx2250 running XP Pro. AMD Athlon 64 processor 3800+ 1.79GHz 1.87GB RAM. Photoshop7 has been launching and working fine for the past year or so but now gets about halfway through the launch process (loading fonts, brushes, etc) and then disappears off-screen. Its not working in the background, according to TaskManager and I don't understand what or why this is happening. I've not played about with RAM updates or installed any new software. Temp files, etc cleared (ccleaner), successfully defragged (auslogics). Also tried a re-install of photoshop7 over the existing software, then uninstalled and re-installed from scratch but the symptom remains. Also checked cd by installing on a backup pc and it all works fine, so the the photoshop7 software is ok. Now upgraded to XP Service Pack 3, also with no change. The system is not clogged with data files or software so there is masses of RAM.
I've installed the entire CS6 Creative Suite on a new Windows 8 Machine. Launcing any of the applications other than Acrobat 10 causes a crash. Windows 8 and the Nvidia GTX670 are all up to date. Crash reports for Photshop and Illustrator are as follows: Â Version=1 EventType=APPCRASH EventTime=130049840096886225 ReportType=2 Consent=1 UploadTime=130049840098761275 ReportIdentifier=37a6f1e2-7397-11e2-bea3-9cb70dad8ba7 IntegratorReportIdentifier=37a6f1e1-7397-11e2-bea3-9cb70dad8ba7 NsAppName=Photoshop.exe Response.BucketId=23ed3b6a404a94083e867a3519a4b84e
When I try to launch Photoshop CS6 the following box appears: "Photoshop detected graphics hardware that is not officially supported. If you experience problems, please uncheck the use graphics processor checkbox in the performance panel of the preferences dialog." After his message appears, Windows tries to solve the problem but has no solutions and shuts down Photoshop before it even opens."

I just downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CC to try the new stuff (I was still on CS before).I deleted CS by dragging the "Adobe Photoshop CS" Folder to the trash and then I installed PSCC.But when I open the program, it says (French translation, may not be English accurate) : "Unable to launch Photoshop CC because of a program error". Â I looked up on forums that said to delete preferences or else, disk repair, uninstalling-reinstalling, but still, I get the same message again and again.Did I forget to delete a file to uninstall PSCS ?
I recently installed the Developer Preview of Windows 8. I already had PSP x4 installed in Windows 7 and it worked fine. Once I tried launching it after the upgrade if failed to load. I completely uninstalled PSP x4 and reinstalled. Still will not launch.
We have heard from few users that there is a crash on launch after the latest Illustrator update 17.0.1 on WINDOWS. We need to debug this issue and to isolate this. Any user who is encountering this on windows can join the connect session: [URL]
I have three MAC's using Parallels with Windows 7 X64 on a domain.  I cannot get Corel Draw x5 to launch on one.  It just simply crashes and records Failed to Release Mutex Error ID = Returned Error 288 & 1 in the event log.  I have tried removing Corel Draw from the workstation 3x in combination with manual and automatic.  I have spent over 8 hours on this and cannot find a solution on line.  I have removed user settings as well.  I have the original media. I have tried downloading another copy from CNET but the key will not work.
On start up of the program where it gives you the option to organize or edit, edit usually launches the editor and I can work in it. It brings up the load bar but then just goes away and I'm still at the same start up. Nothing has changed on my computer that I know of, I'm the only user.
Up until two days ago, my Photoshop Elements 11 installation worked just as I expected. Since then, when I launch, it goes through its startup, displays the editor interface and then quits. The only error message I get is from Windows (version 7) informing me that the program has stopped working
I installed and have successfully used PSE 12 on Windows 7 since October 2013. It quit working in the middle of alternately using it with an online screen of an art class and now refuses to launch. I have done repeated uninstalls and reinstalls to no avail. It's welcome screen does come up but now with the message that my trial version has expired and the only option given is to BUY NOW. I have a licensed product. Is this a program bug as I've read others encountering similar issues.Â
In Photoshop Elements 8.0 I attempted to order photo prints through Shutterfly. The transfer never completed. Now when I open Photoshop Elements and click on Organize, the Organizer never launches. I would like to retrieve all the folders of photos I have organized, captioned, made into CDs, etc. with Photoshop, but I cannot get the Organizer to open.
I get this error message every time I startup the Editor. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software. The same problem exits. I have tried the Control+alt+Shift when the Editor is starting up and that does not work either.  I am running this on a Windows 7 machine. I am trying to launch the Editor from the welcome screen. The editor comes up and I can see the workspace but then the error message comes up. I get the same error message when I try to launch the Editor from the Organizer.  The error message states: "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if the solution is available"  I have LR 4 loaded on my machine and do most of my editing there. I tried to open the Editor to create a blank canvas and got this error message. I also get the error message when trying to open a photo in the editor directly from lightroom.  When I attempt to run updates for PSE 11 I get the following error message: "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or hte internet or firewall settings may be incorrect. Please try again alter. Error Code: u41m1c212
Organizer has stopped working for me. When I try to launch it, the "credits" screen flashes briefly, but then nothing is displayed. If I try an option, like "Get Photos and Videos," then nothing happens, and all the options become grayed out. I just upgraded from PSE 10 to 11, and I created a new catalog. The organizer was working fine last night, but not today.
I have PSE11 set as the default program to open .jpegs, for instance......so, if I double-click a picture icon it will launch PSE11, but it's always in "Quick" mode initially......is there a way to configure it so that it launches in Expert mode each time?
I've just bought Element 11 in the AppStore and after the launch I get:
Process:Â Â Â Â Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Editor [6249]Path:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â /Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11

When I click in the shortcut (now covered with a shield icon) the programme starts, fails to fully boot and dissapears. Subsequent efforts to start then do not even try to boot.
I've been trying to get Adobe Photoshop Elements software to work on my computer since mid December. I've had alot of responses to different options, even from Adobe themselves, and nothing is working. I get the Welcome Menu screen but when I click on either Organizer or Edit nothing happens. I am the administrator on my home computer and tried launching as administrator but nothing works. I've tried launching it from "Program File" exe but nothing. When I do this I get this error message;
"Windows cannot find 'C:Program Files (x86)AdobePhotoshop Elements12PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
I've tried a Install Photoshop Elements in a simplified mode, nothing.  I've shut down my firewall and virus program and then install, nothing. Looks like I've stooped everyone. Now I can't even return it because the package is open.
My computer is a 64-bit Operating System, Intel (R) Core i7 CPU, 869 @ 2.80GHz, Windows 7 Professional.
When I put a jump drive into my USB port Adobe Photo Shop Album Starter Edition 3.2 launches. It won't go away. I can't see what is on my jump drive. I can only see pictures. It's got to be something on my computer because the jump drives I've tried work perfectly on other computers. I tried a blank drive and it did the same thing.
Purchased from Adobe via internet. Akamai interface downloaded and then Photoshop Elements 11. Both icons on Mac desktop. Double clicking on PE 11 does not launch program. Is it fully downloaded? I get Read Me file in four languages as well as a PE 11 icon after double clicking the desktop icon.
