View 4 RepliesI was able to successfully download and install the trial version of PS Elements 11 on 64 bit Windows 7. However, trying to open the program doesn't result in any error, it just won't launch. Even after rebooting I am not able to launch the program. My PS Elements 8 is still working fine.

I finally can get Organizer to run by using the new short cut I created but Editor refuses to display anything other than a small gray box on the upper right side of my desktop and a border that is missing a substantial amount of pieces!

It just simply crashes and records Failed to Release Mutex Error ID = Returned Error 288 & 1 in the event log. I have tried removing Corel Draw from the workstation 3x in combination with manual and automatic. I have spent over 8 hours on this and cannot find a solution on line. I have removed user settings as well. I have the original media. I have tried downloading another copy from CNET but the key will not work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a fully activated copy of Photoshop CS6 64-bit and it has been working fine up until this week. I attempted to launch it earlier today. All that happens is the computer indicates its reading the harddrive then just stops and nothing happens. Further clicking on the shortcut brings up the loading indicator for 2 seconds and then nothing happens.
After consulting the internet, I discovered it could be a GPU driver issue. I checked for an update, installed it, restarted and still no luck.I also booted into safe mode to see if a program was conflicting with it, Photoshop wouldn't launch there either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop CS6 will not launch on my Mac running Lion 10.7.4. I've re-installed 4 times. The problem initially happened after installing a popular 3rd party script, (which works fine on my other computers) but I have trasehd those script files plus un-installed & re-installed Photoshop multiple times and it continually crashes on start-up. The error messages I am getting are attached to this message. The start up-screen launches but then it crashes after it says "Loding brushes..."

I am on a mac (mountain lion 10.8.2) and photoshop will not launch. I click the icon and it only bounces once, then nothing happens. I tried going into the finder window and double clicking on the launch that way, but same thing...nothing. I also tried to open a photo and .psd file and still nothing. Photoshop was working on Friday (10/19), I installed some updates Friday evening/saturday moring. Bridge does still work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been having an odd problem recently with Photoshop under 64-bit Vista. When trying to open it (whether by clicking on a file associated with it, my desktop shortcut, from the start menu, or on the *.exe file itself), it fails to launch 90% of the time and opens the remaining times at seeminly random intervals.
For each time I try to open it and it fails, though, a new listing of "Photoshop.exe *32" shows up under the processes tab of the Windows Task Manager.
Just yesterday, I did a clean install of Windows and reinstalled CS3 Master Collection, and the problem is still there. I've tried disabling nearly every non-Microsoft service from the MSConfig utility, and it still happens.
I recently re-installed P/S 4.0 which I have been using without problems on this computer for years. I had rebooted the hard drive and when I reinstalled the program for 4.0 it indicated a successful installation. The program appears where it should in the "All Programs" menu, but when I click on it I get an error message: "There is not enough memory (RAM) to launch Phot0Shop." I am running Windows XP Home Edition, SP2, I have more than 500 MB of available RAM, and I have used this program on this and other computers for years. I am also using Norton 360. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a setting elsewhere I need to modify? I even tried installing the minimum version. Same result.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I open Photoshopp CC on my Mac Pro (8-core, 32Gb RAM) I get the spinning beachball of death and the app is completely unresponsive. There is also no crash log generated, nor an opportunity to submit one.

I'm no longer able to launch Photoshop 5.5 on my Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Lion) system. I did a reinstall with same results. All software is up-to-date. The only change has been a second monitor connected to the computer. InDesign and Illustrator work fine.

Currently, I cannot open Photoshop CC "Could ot initialize photoshop because of a program error" even after removing, cleaning and reinstalling it.
I can get Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro to open a pdf file for a second, it then shuts down and tells me "Adobe Acrobat was installed as a part of a suite. I started having this problem 3 days ago. Suddenly one morning Photoshop CS4 stopped launching. The bad part is, there is no error message...nothing...it just won't launch. View 3 Replies View Relatedmy copy of Photoshop CS6 sometimes won't launch and when it does manage to launch fully, it's really slow. I mean ridiculously slow. The only times when I can get it to run even remotely quick is if I shut down my computer, and then restart it and then start up Photoshop CS6 as the first program. Even then it slows down after a while. (And I only have a firefox browser open usually, never more than a couple of tabs at once, so it's not a bandwidth issue)
Here are my comp specs:

Installed Memory (RAM) - 4.00 (3.48 usable)
64 Bit operating System running on Windows 7 home premium, service pack 1
I also did just recently install the new update Adobe had for Photoshop, so that's up to date.
I was using an Adobe free month trial of CS6 Production Premium about one month ago, before I purchased it for keeps. Photoshop was working fine.
Ever since registering my CS6, though, whenever I try to launch Photoshop, it gets as far as "Measuring Memory", then crashes with a message "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred. Photoshop will now exit." There is no crash report (at least, not that I can find).
An Adobe technician on the phone suggested I try upgrading to Mountain Lion, but nothing I've read on similar problems said upgrading is a viable solution. Plus, I'm not too impressed with a troubleshooting tip that involves paying money for a package of improvements which are irrelevant to me, and will probably be accompanied by other drawbacks.
I've tried fixing my preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling... No dice.I'm running CS6 on my MacBook Pro, OS X 10.6.7, with a 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5, and 8 GB of RAM.
