I'm having problems launching photoshop7 on a dx2250 running XP Pro. AMD Athlon 64 processor 3800+ 1.79GHz 1.87GB RAM. Photoshop7 has been launching and working fine for the past year or so but now gets about halfway through the launch process (loading fonts, brushes, etc) and then disappears off-screen. Its not working in the background, according to TaskManager and I don't understand what or why this is happening. I've not played about with RAM updates or installed any new software. Temp files, etc cleared (ccleaner), successfully defragged (auslogics). Also tried a re-install of photoshop7 over the existing software, then uninstalled and re-installed from scratch but the symptom remains. Also checked cd by installing on a backup pc and it all works fine, so the the photoshop7 software is ok. Now upgraded to XP Service Pack 3, also with no change. The system is not clogged with data files or software so there is masses of RAM.
several programs in cs6 cloud subscription don't work at all and in the programs that do at least load some of the tools don't work. the latest is Photoshop the text tool wont work.
I started having this problem 3 days ago. Suddenly one morning Photoshop CS4 stopped launching. The bad part is, there is no error message...nothing...it just won't launch. Other programs, including Bridge CS4 works fine, just Photoshop. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, this is a Dell XPS computer with 8GB of RAM
When I try to launch Photoshop CS6 the following box appears: "Photoshop detected graphics hardware that is not officially supported. If you experience problems, please uncheck the use graphics processor checkbox in the performance panel of the preferences dialog." After his message appears, Windows tries to solve the problem but has no solutions and shuts down Photoshop before it even opens."

Runing windows 8.1 on ACER Aspire 8920 4GB of RAM. Download and installation ran to completion without problem. But double clicking shortcut on desktop does not launch PSE12. It quits trying very quickly. I was running PSE 11 without problem. I was able to start PSE 12 by going to the Program folder. It told me that the Online services are not available. I continued and I had difficulties converting the catalog. I wasn't able to launch the Editor from the Organiser. I decided to try again from scratch by downloading the software with the downloader assistant. All went well, but the Launching.
I just downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CC to try the new stuff (I was still on CS before).I deleted CS by dragging the "Adobe Photoshop CS" Folder to the trash and then I installed PSCC.But when I open the program, it says (French translation, may not be English accurate) : "Unable to launch Photoshop CC because of a program error". Â I looked up on forums that said to delete preferences or else, disk repair, uninstalling-reinstalling, but still, I get the same message again and again.Did I forget to delete a file to uninstall PSCS ?
I was able to successfully download and install the trial version of PS Elements 11 on 64 bit Windows 7. However, trying to open the program doesn't result in any error, it just won't launch. Even after rebooting I am not able to launch the program. My PS Elements 8 is still working fine.
Just installed CS5.1 a couple of weeks ago. Runs no problem in 64 bit. But 32 bit is a different story..In Mac, Get info, and set CS5 to open in 32 bit, CS5 launches an instantly freezes with the spinning beach ball.I can't do anything expect force quit.Mac Pro, 8 core, 10 GB ram, OS 10.5x  I need to be able to run in 32 bit for plug-ins that are not 64 bit.
I have photoshop CS4 and when I try to open it it shows error message 148:3 and won't open. What should I do about this? What does that error code mean?
I have a fully activated copy of Photoshop CS6 64-bit and it has been working fine up until this week. I attempted to launch it earlier today. All that happens is the computer indicates its reading the harddrive then just stops and nothing happens. Further clicking on the shortcut brings up the loading indicator for 2 seconds and then nothing happens. Â After consulting the internet, I discovered it could be a GPU driver issue. I checked for an update, installed it, restarted and still no luck.I also booted into safe mode to see if a program was conflicting with it, Photoshop wouldn't launch there either.
PC Spec: AMD Bulldozer FX-4100 @ 3.6GHz 16GB DDR3 RAM Nvidia 8600GT (I know it's old, but I've had no previous issues with it and photoshop) Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Adobe Photoshop CS6 64-bit
Photoshop CS6 will not launch on my Mac running Lion 10.7.4. I've re-installed 4 times. The problem initially happened after installing a popular 3rd party script, (which works fine on my other computers) but I have trasehd those script files plus un-installed & re-installed Photoshop multiple times and it continually crashes on start-up. The error messages I am getting are attached to this message. The start up-screen launches but then it crashes after it says "Loding brushes..."Â
I use Photoshop everyday and for whatever reason today photoshop won't launch (though bridge will). I've restarted my computer and this hasn't worked. The crash report says this:  Date/Time:      2013-01-09 15:11:39 -0600 OS Version:     10.7.5 (Build 11G63b) Architecture:   x86_64 Report Version: 9  Command:        Photoshop Path:           /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Adobe Photoshop CS5.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop CS5 Version:        12.0 (12.0x20100407.r.1103) (12.0) Parent:         launchd [188]
I am on a mac (mountain lion 10.8.2) and photoshop will not launch. I click the icon and it only bounces once, then nothing happens. I tried going into the finder window and double clicking on the launch that way, but same thing...nothing. I also tried to open a photo and .psd file and still nothing. Photoshop was working on Friday (10/19), I installed some updates Friday evening/saturday moring. Bridge does still work.
I've been having an odd problem recently with Photoshop under 64-bit Vista. When trying to open it (whether by clicking on a file associated with it, my desktop shortcut, from the start menu, or on the *.exe file itself), it fails to launch 90% of the time and opens the remaining times at seeminly random intervals.
For each time I try to open it and it fails, though, a new listing of "Photoshop.exe *32" shows up under the processes tab of the Windows Task Manager.
Just yesterday, I did a clean install of Windows and reinstalled CS3 Master Collection, and the problem is still there. I've tried disabling nearly every non-Microsoft service from the MSConfig utility, and it still happens.
I recently re-installed P/S 4.0 which I have been using without problems on this computer for years. I had rebooted the hard drive and when I reinstalled the program for 4.0 it indicated a successful installation. The program appears where it should in the "All Programs" menu, but when I click on it I get an error message: "There is not enough memory (RAM) to launch Phot0Shop." I am running Windows XP Home Edition, SP2, I have more than 500 MB of available RAM, and I have used this program on this and other computers for years. I am also using Norton 360. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a setting elsewhere I need to modify? I even tried installing the minimum version. Same result.
Every time I open Photoshopp CC on my Mac Pro (8-core, 32Gb RAM) I get the spinning beachball of death and the app is completely unresponsive. I have logged out and back in to the CC to no purpose. I am completelt fed up with continually beta testing Adobe's software and paying through the nose for it. Â There is also no crash log generated, nor an opportunity to submit one.
I have just downloaded the new Photoshop CC and can not get it to launch, I have downloaded it through the Abode Creative Cloud and there is no Launch option.
I downloaded CC and then install PS via the CC app. How do I open Photoshop CC. It is not click able in the CC app, and it is nowhere on my hard drive.
I've just installed Photoshop CS6 (64bit). I cannot launch Adobe Bridge - I get the message "Waiting for Bridge CS6." and it won't progress beyond this point. I've rebooted the PC, but still the same.
One of my users has had Photoshop CS6 installed pretty much since launch with no issues, however since last week just after launching a Windows error report pops up informing the user that it has crashed, however if the user simply moves the error report window to one side Photoshop will continue functioning normally, but as soon as "Don't Send/Dubug/Send Report" is pressed Photoshop closes.  Below is the error information taken from Event viewer - The machine is running XP SP3, 3GB RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 3600 Graphics card.  Faulting application photoshop.exe, version 13.0.0.0, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.5781, fault address 0x00012afb.  0000: 41 70 70 6c 69 63 61 74  Applicat 0008: 69 6f 6e 20 46 61 69 6c  ion Fail 0010: 75 72 65 20 20 70 68 6f  ure pho 0018: 74 6f 73 68 6f 70 2e 65  toshop.e 0020: 78 65 20 31 33 2e 30 2e  xe 13.0. Updating the graphics driver.Reinstalling the applicationClearing PS preferences. Nothing on the machine has changed that I could see.
I'm no longer able to launch Photoshop 5.5 on my Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Lion) system. I did a reinstall with same results. All software is up-to-date. The only change has been a second monitor connected to the computer. InDesign and Illustrator work fine.
Running a imac, 10.84 OS. Downloaded and installed CC suites on June 24. Things seemed fine, but 4 days later, I am getting spinning beach balls all over and then my computer wouldn't repair itself or start up.Out of desparation, I took it to the apple store. I found the hardware was good, they reinstalled a fresh OS and wiped everything clean. I backed up from time machine, everything seemed aok, but no such luck, things are not good with CC products. Â Currently, I cannot open Photoshop CC "Could ot initialize photoshop because of a program error" even after removing, cleaning and reinstalling it.
I can get Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro to open a pdf file for a second, it then shuts down and tells me "Adobe Acrobat was installed as a part of a suite. To enable Adobe Acrobat, start another componant of this suite (such as photoshop)"-even while Illustrator CC is open and working (the only CC application that hasn't had problems.
I'm using Photoshop CS4 on a MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). It's worked for quite a long time with no issues and now (seemingly out of the blue) it won't launch. Here is part of the report I get when it doesn't launch:
my copy of Photoshop CS6 sometimes won't launch and when it does manage to launch fully, it's really slow. I mean ridiculously slow. The only times when I can get it to run even remotely quick is if I shut down my computer, and then restart it and then start up Photoshop CS6 as the first program. Even then it slows down after a while. (And I only have a firefox browser open usually, never more than a couple of tabs at once, so it's not a bandwidth issue)  Here are my comp specs:  Samsung  Processor:  AMD A6-3420M APU with Radeon (Tm) HD graphics 1.50 ghz Installed Memory (RAM) - 4.00 (3.48 usable) 64 Bit operating System running on Windows 7 home premium, service pack 1  I also did just recently install the new update Adobe had for Photoshop, so that's up to date.
I was using an Adobe free month trial of CS6 Production Premium about one month ago, before I purchased it for keeps. Photoshop was working fine.
Ever since registering my CS6, though, whenever I try to launch Photoshop, it gets as far as "Measuring Memory", then crashes with a message "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred. Photoshop will now exit." There is no crash report (at least, not that I can find).
An Adobe technician on the phone suggested I try upgrading to Mountain Lion, but nothing I've read on similar problems said upgrading is a viable solution. Plus, I'm not too impressed with a troubleshooting tip that involves paying money for a package of improvements which are irrelevant to me, and will probably be accompanied by other drawbacks.
I've tried fixing my preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling... No dice.I'm running CS6 on my MacBook Pro, OS X 10.6.7, with a 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5, and 8 GB of RAM.
