Photoshop :: Unable To Launch CS6 Extended

Jun 14, 2013

When I try to launch Photoshop CS6 the following box appears: "Photoshop detected graphics hardware that is not officially supported. If you experience problems, please uncheck the use graphics processor checkbox in the performance panel of the preferences dialog." After his message appears, Windows tries to solve the problem but has no solutions and shuts down Photoshop before it even opens."

Photoshop :: Unable To Launch PS 7.0

Apr 13, 2009

I'm having problems launching photoshop7 on a dx2250 running XP Pro. AMD Athlon 64 processor 3800+ 1.79GHz 1.87GB RAM. Photoshop7 has been launching and working fine for the past year or so but now gets about halfway through the launch process (loading fonts, brushes, etc) and then disappears off-screen. Its not working in the background, according to TaskManager and I don't understand what or why this is happening. I've not played about with RAM updates or installed any new software. Temp files, etc cleared (ccleaner), successfully defragged (auslogics). Also tried a re-install of photoshop7 over the existing software, then uninstalled and re-installed from scratch but the symptom remains. Also checked cd by installing on a backup pc and it all works fine, so the the photoshop7 software is ok. Now upgraded to XP Service Pack 3, also with no change. The system is not clogged with data files or software so there is masses of RAM.

I continued and I had difficulties converting the catalog. I wasn't able to launch the Editor from the Organiser. I decided to try again from scratch by downloading the software with the downloader assistant. All went well, but the Launching.

Photoshop :: Unable To Launch CC Because Of Program Error

Oct 30, 2013

I just downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CC to try the new stuff (I was still on CS before).I deleted CS by dragging the "Adobe Photoshop CS" Folder to the trash and then I installed PSCC.But when I open the program, it says (French translation, may not be English accurate) : "Unable to launch Photoshop CC because of a program error".

I looked up on forums that said to delete preferences or else, disk repair, uninstalling-reinstalling, but still, I get the same message again and again.Did I forget to delete a file to uninstall PSCS ?

Photoshop :: Extended CS5 To Extended CS6 Cloud Install - How To Migrate Plugins

Aug 30, 2012

Currently I am running PhotoShop extended CS5, 64bit. in which i have my fovorite plugins (Topaz, Nik and OneOne) running perfectly.

I have upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and installed PhotoShop extended CS6 using Adobe Application Manager as recommended. It didn't ask me if I wanted to upgrade or do a new install for PhotoShop. So now I CS6 running with no Plug-ins. I need my plugins! LOL.

I tried pointing to additional plugins in the CS6 preference to the CS5 plugin folder. Upon Launch it gave me a whole slew of error messages saying something cant load or launch C+ runtime error or what not. It does open up, but it only gives access to Nik and Topaz. OnOne doesn't show up under filters or extensions.

So, what are my options?

Just copy the plugins from CS5 to CS6?

I dont't want to reinstall all the plugins to CS6 if I don't have to as I've auto updated them over time to current versions online, so only have installation files for my original purchases.

Photoshop :: CS6 Not Getting Launch?

Jun 28, 2012

I have a fully activated copy of Photoshop CS6 64-bit and it has been working fine up until this week. I attempted to launch it earlier today. All that happens is the computer indicates its reading the harddrive then just stops and nothing happens. Further clicking on the shortcut brings up the loading indicator for 2 seconds and then nothing happens.

After consulting the internet, I discovered it could be a GPU driver issue. I checked for an update, installed it, restarted and still no luck.I also booted into safe mode to see if a program was conflicting with it, Photoshop wouldn't launch there either.

PC Spec:
AMD Bulldozer FX-4100 @ 3.6GHz
16GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia 8600GT (I know it's old, but I've had no previous issues with it and photoshop)
Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Adobe Photoshop CS6 64-bit

I've re-installed 4 times.  The problem initially happened after installing a popular 3rd party script, (which works fine on my other computers) but I have trasehd those script files plus un-installed & re-installed Photoshop multiple times and it continually crashes on start-up.  The error messages I am getting are attached to this message.  The start up-screen launches but then it crashes after it says "Loding brushes..."

Photoshop :: CS3 Won't Launch

Dec 29, 2008

I've been having an odd problem recently with Photoshop under 64-bit Vista. When trying to open it (whether by clicking on a file associated with it, my desktop shortcut, from the start menu, or on the *.exe file itself), it fails to launch 90% of the time and opens the remaining times at seeminly random intervals.

For each time I try to open it and it fails, though, a new listing of "Photoshop.exe *32" shows up under the processes tab of the Windows Task Manager.

Just yesterday, I did a clean install of Windows and reinstalled CS3 Master Collection, and the problem is still there. I've tried disabling nearly every non-Microsoft service from the MSConfig utility, and it still happens.

Photoshop :: 4.0 Launch

Apr 21, 2008

I recently re-installed P/S 4.0 which I have been using without problems on this computer for years. I had rebooted the hard drive and when I reinstalled the program for 4.0 it indicated a successful installation. The program appears where it should in the "All Programs" menu, but when I click on it I get an error message: "There is not enough memory (RAM) to launch Phot0Shop." I am running Windows XP Home Edition, SP2, I have more than 500 MB of available RAM, and I have used this program on this and other computers for years. I am also using Norton 360. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a setting elsewhere I need to modify? I even tried installing the minimum version. Same result.
