View 1 RepliesPhotoshop Elements: How to re-activate deleted background paper textures in the editor / fotobook section?
View 1 RepliesI have tried using Textures mainly for replacing the background on a photo. So far I have been able to do it but alot of the times the main subject in the image is covered by the texture. My goal is to replace the background only with a texture and leave the rest of the image as is.

View 2 Replies View RelatedPSE users have posted questions about removing deleted folders from the PSE catalog since version 5 or 6. Back in 2009, the recommendation was to delete only in PSE. However, I manage my folders, backups, and archives in Windows, because I prefer the interface and use other tools. This causes me to have many grayed-out folders in the PSE catalog. As each new version comes out, I hope this will get fixed, with no luck so far. Are there any new features in version 11 that make this possible? Is there any hope that a future versions will allow the user to clean up the catalog, or synchronize automatically to the real folder structure?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have accidentally deleted a frame option from graphics selections. I thought I was only removing it from the photo I was working with. No warning came up when I did this. I tried resetting the panel, but that did not work. I also could not find it in recent edits. Is there any way it can be retrieved and restored to the panel? It is one of a very few I might want to use in the future.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new computer today and also purchased PSE 12 (I had PSE 10 running on a different machine/laptop). On the laptop/PSE 10, I had about 20,000 digital on an external drive (all were tagged according to color, theme, etc via the PSE organizer). All of the elements were stored on the external drive under a folder called "digital kits". I used the PSE 10 backup utility to backup my catalog to ease the move to my new machine. After I performed the backup, I renamed the "digital kits" folder to "digital kits-glw" because I intended to just move the external hard drive to the new computer and restore the catalog to the same path, “E:digital kits”, as I have other software that is dependent upon that path.
The restore went pretty quickly, and I can see the correct folder structure within PSE 12 Organizer, but all I have is a bunch of blank thumbnails. Upon closer inspection, the restore did NOT recreate the E:digital kits folder on the hard drive as I expected. Worse, the E:digital kits-glw folder is virtually empty (just a handful of thumb.db files). So, it appears the backup process deleted/hijacked all of my files. (Note: I did NOT verify the contents of the digital kits folder before I renamed it.) Tech support is closed until Monday, and I’m just sick over the possibility of losing all that data, so I’m turning to you all.(I have a backup of the data, but without the catalog piece I would have to re-catalog all 20,000 elements!)
I was trying to get rid of text and change it. I have no clue how to use this product but thought I would mess around with it. I think I really messed up. I clicked on the letter and then drug to the garbage can thinking I was deleting the text. It said permanently deleted and I now don't have the text option under content. How do I get it back?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had to reinstall CS3, but when I tried to activate it said I had exceeded my approved installs.
View 4 Replies View Relatedlooking for Help>Activate so that I can activate my apparently successfully installed Photoshop CS3 on a new Advent computer with Vista 64. Since I don't yet have a working internet connection for it, I'd left activating CS3 'til I could do it over the phone.
So, despite looking through Help, all I can find is the 'Activate the Software' page which just tells you to go to 'Help>Activate'. Where on earth have they hidden it? Am I going blind? I have tried Window>Workspace>Reset Menu, but no difference.
My Photoshop cs5 extended locked up. When I restarted my notebook, I received a message: your computer config changed.
When I tried to re-activate, I received a message: activation system is not available at this time. I have my serial number but I do not have my activation code. What is my next step. I did register my Photoshop with adobe when I purchased it.
Am a loyal Adobe customer. Have had PS since 1997 starting with PS 4.0. Upgraded very year up to PS CS. Then my wife became ill with breast cancer (died in 2008 from it), lost my job, lost our family home to for closure in 2010, my 20 year old son diagnosed with luekemia in 2011 (still fighting on chemo) yada yada yada.
Bottom line, I cannot afford to upgrade my Acrobat Pro, my Photoshop, my Premier etc etc etc.We sometimes don't have enough money to eat.
So my pc crashed the the other week. I just finished rebuilding using a new hard drive, Photoshp CS in installed again, and running perfectly. BUT I keep getting a need to activate alert. And can't do it.
I am currently using Windows 7 and have to use Windows XP mode to use my Photoshop CS. My Windows XP mode became corrupt so I uninstalled it and re-installed. When I re-installed Photoshop CS I was unable to activate it online or by the automated phone sytem. I went and did a live chat with Adobe support..I know my Photoshop CS is old, but I still need it. I am the only user it ever had. It is registered under my name.
