Oct 13, 2012I have audio when I run the video in organizer. I've tried replacing the videorenderer.dll, and adding ad2ac3dec.dll, to no avail.

VideoStudio :: No Audio In AVI Or MPEG File
May 7, 2012Working with family project (captured by someone else-not me). Gist is that the raw AVI file doesn't have any sound when I play in media player or VSX2. The avi video format shows up as mpeg4s Decoder DMO and the audio as "Unknown ACM Format". I naively used this to make an mpeg vid file and tried to tweak the audio using LPCM but the resulting file has no audio either. The avi shows the video compression as mpeg4 but when I use my mpeg4 converter it doesn't recognise it so it's obviously an avi file with an mpeg4 video compression used.
Is there any way to recover the audio in these circumstances?

Nov 20, 2013The following didn't eventually cause me a problem since I have retained some earlier versions of VS. Normally, starting way back with VS version 8, I've happily downloaded avi files from my handicam, edited them and made nice home movies on DVD, worth watching even by non-family .
But now I've just been given a couple of mpeg-4 files (total time of 1 hr 20 min or so) to turn into a nicely edited DVD (it's an orchestral concert). If I insert the files into the timeline in either X5 and X6, the audio doesn't sound when I try to play either the project or the clip. Do the same with X4 and things work perfectly, audio comes through loud and clear. So I've used X4 for the task, I kept it on my computer.
An additional task was to make an audio CD - no sweat, I just created a sound file (in the "share" tab) with X4 and went from there. Trying to do the same with either X5 and X6 caused the software to crash with an error message.

Premiere Pro :: HDV (MPEG) File Is Importing Without Audio
Feb 13, 2014I'm trying to import an HDV clip into Premiere Pro on my iMac running OSX Lion. I have 5 clips from the shoot and 4 are importing fine. The first sign of trouble is that when I see the clip in the media browser the box is initially bright red. Then, when I import it the video is fine, but it doesn't have audio attached. I watched the clip in Quicktime and the audio plays fine. Is there a limit to what size file you can import into Premiere (this one is very slightly bigger thant he others - 12.67 GB)? Or is there any other reason/work around? I'm not very technical so I'm not sure if I can provide much more info than that. T

It's random and does not happen all the time. Started to do it after I update the latest Premiere CC.
Seems to happen when i apply a transistion to a audio clip from no audio. Sound like a mic to close to a speaker repeating the sound faster and faster. I cant hear it durning the editing, just after exporting.
After Effects :: V6 - Imported MPG Has No Audio
Feb 13, 2013I just created a new project in After Effects 6 and imported an MPG clip with audio, but despite toggling on the audio switches etc the clip has no sound. The visual stuff is fine but I can't figure out why the audio won't work. By the way I have checked the audio on other devices and with other playback programs and it works fine.

Aug 19, 2011Problem after rendering a video file using FFDshow video codec (for AVI compression in Mpeg4 base) and using Mpeg Layer 2 192kbps 48Khz audio for the audio format?
I have been using this tried and true format for years with no issues whatsoever... until recently within the past year or 2 I have been running similar problems with it. I had recently concluded it was due to the Mpeg Layer 1 and 2 audio codecs that DVD Movie Factory 7 install as prior to version 7 I have always had DVD Movie Factory 6 that I have to install in order to get this audio format on the system to use with encoding.
I had completely reset my system up recently... with NOT installing Movie Factory 7 and remaining with version 6 and have had no issues with encoding using VideoStudio Pro X3. However, I had gone ahead and installed the Service Pack 2 update for VideoStudio X3 and seems like since then the problem has resurfaced. Now I am usually left with glitchy audio. My question to the Corel guys... does Service Pack 2 for VideoStudio X3 have any relationship whatsoever to the Mpeg Layer 1 and Layer 2 audio codecs that Movie Factory 7 install? Because if it does, then you seriously have a problem with these newer codecs in the software and you need to revert back to previous versions which work without any problems.

When I import .MOV videos also in small resolution (also 320x240) into timeline and play clips sound plays fine but when I play the project there is audio with interruptions. Premiere Pro :: Audio Gradually Goes Out Of Sync When Video Imported Into CS5.5?
May 9, 2012Audio sync problem I'm experiencing with videos recorded with the latest iPad 3 (well, that's what I'm calling it anyway).
I believe the iPad 3 recording format is 1080/30p with 44.1Khz / 16 bit audio, but when I match those settings on a Premiere Pro CS5.5 project (or try 48KHz audio as a test), the audio gradually goes out of sync. If the video is several minutes long, it becomes quite obvious, and by 10 minutes, it's terrible!
I should add the file plays back fine on the iPad itself and was imported to a Mac via iTunes. It also plays fine on the Mac itself in Quicktime.
On a related note, I additionally captured the audio using a Zoom H2n which i intended to replace in Premiere, but foolishly I captured it at 48KHz, rather than the 44.1KHz of the iPad video file. Should I resample it?
I actually managed to line-up the 48 and 44.1KHz waveforms from the iPad and Zoom in Premiere quite accurately, but again both gradually go out of sync with the video...
I'm running Premiere Pro 5.5.2 on Mac OSX 10.7.3.

May 22, 2013When I import an audio file into Smoke it ends up being longer, and plays slower than it does outside of Smoke.
The file is a stereo mp3, 16 bit, 44kHz
Its normal duration is 13:19
In Smoke it shows up as 13:30
I tried applying a Time Warp to speed it back up but I can't apply the speed change. It is reset back to 100% after trying to change it.
Even if I don't import the file, in the MediaHub, in preview mode it shows up with a duration of 13:30 and plays slowly.
The project has a 24P frame rate in case that has any influence.

Nov 21, 2012Elements Organizer 10 started misplacing all the Imported Files in the folder above at some point.
In Folder Location view (under Display) I right click folder B and chose Import to Elements Organizer. Once the Import is finished, all photos but one are under folder A instead... needless to say my catalog now looks very messy because photos show in folders with different names. In Finder they appear in the right place, and even the File Properties in Elements show the correct location. Just not the Folders.
I have about 20k files imported in my catalogue, this started happening recently and affects only files imported in certain external drives or partitions.I tried the repairs, optimizations, reconnects etc. for the catalogue, looked for updates and restarted the software many times now.

All these pictures are in the location D:/pictures/privat pictures/2001/YYYYMMDD. Each year has a lot of folders oriented by date.
All this pictures are a second time at my backup drive Z:/backup pictures/private pictures/2001/................
After creating a new catalog and start importing all files from D: it takes time till all pictures are imported.
But then the failure happens if i click to any folder in D: i can not see any picture.
If i start import i.e. for one single folder again i get the message" pictures are already imported..."
If i click at a bar in the timeline the pictures are shown and the path tree shows it at location Z....with the path name from D:
I created more catalogs the last time to find a solution.
