I have Corel Video Studio Pro X3. When I import .MOV videos also in small resolution (also 320x240) into timeline and play clips sound plays fine but when I play the project there is audio with interruptions. Its impossible to edit!!! AVI, MPEG also in full hd plays sound good also in °play project° also in °play clip°....

I have been using VideoStudio since version 8 (and all subsequent versions). I have also successfully used versions 9, 11, and now X4 on this same machine. About 2 months ago, every video file that I bring into VS no longer plays back with audio and when I render a video with these clips, the out-putted video file (regardless of file format) also has no audio. It doesn't matter what type of clip I insert (mpg, AVI, MOV, etc) none of them playback with audio within VideoStudio. All files ALL play audio back in a stand-alone media player just fine. I downloaded the AC3 file & filter with no success as well.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter I transfer iPhone 4 videos (Quicktkime .MOV) to my computer, I can load them into the Corel Library without a problem, but if I try to play one of the clips, I get fine audio but with a black picture. If I drag one of the videos into the project and then play the project, I get video, but it is choppy. These .MOV videos play fine in other programs that I play them on.

I have a MP4 video that I imported in and half way through previewing it, the audio drops. The original plays all the audio fine, but VideoStudio just can't get past a certain point with the audio.

I'm having difficulty getting my videos exported from LR4.1 and imported into iMovie11 (or converted with QuickTimePro).
I'm exporting with H.264 to maintain edits I've made (mov is just a copy of original video but does allow import into QuickTime).
When I import into iMovie11, the only visual is a still frame of the video. The audio works just fine, but there no video. I've optimized the video for full size to ensure its not a performance issue (also on a brand new iMac, so that shouldn't be the problem). From searching around it appears to be a codec issue, so I figured I'd convert it to a different format with QuickTime Pro. When I try and save as a self contained movie (mov format) QTPro fails and says that the movie "contains an incorrect time value". I've had some success with trial versions of other software that converts to different formats, but I don't want to have to buy another piece of software, or do a whole other step!
I have recently upgraded my old VideoStudio 12.00 to VideoStudio Pro X4 and have only just started using the program again after a couple of years of absence so I am still on a learning curve.
Can I extract the audio from a video clip and if so how and how can I convert it, if necessary into an Audio Interchange File Format, so that I can export it to a program such as Audacity for removing background wind noise before importing the Audio back into the videoStudio project.
I have tried using all the audio filter functions in VS to remove the background noise, to no avail.
I just created a new project in After Effects 6 and imported an MPG clip with audio, but despite toggling on the audio switches etc the clip has no sound. The visual stuff is fine but I can't figure out why the audio won't work. By the way I have checked the audio on other devices and with other playback programs and it works fine.

For some reason the audio wont sync up to the animation and I cant figure out why. Everything should be set correctly. The audio was originally created in after effects and even when I imported the JPEGs into the audio file in after effects it still wouldn't sync.

I have used the Media Browser multiple times with different footage shot to an AVCHD camera, and after bringing the 1080p video into CS6, I get audio dropouts and sometimes no audio at all, even though there is definitely audio with the footage.
1. Is this a known bug?
Audio sync problem I'm experiencing with videos recorded with the latest iPad 3 (well, that's what I'm calling it anyway).
I believe the iPad 3 recording format is 1080/30p with 44.1Khz / 16 bit audio, but when I match those settings on a Premiere Pro CS5.5 project (or try 48KHz audio as a test), the audio gradually goes out of sync. If the video is several minutes long, it becomes quite obvious, and by 10 minutes, it's terrible!
I should add the file plays back fine on the iPad itself and was imported to a Mac via iTunes. It also plays fine on the Mac itself in Quicktime.
On a related note, I additionally captured the audio using a Zoom H2n which i intended to replace in Premiere, but foolishly I captured it at 48KHz, rather than the 44.1KHz of the iPad video file. Should I resample it?
I actually managed to line-up the 48 and 44.1KHz waveforms from the iPad and Zoom in Premiere quite accurately, but again both gradually go out of sync with the video...
I'm running Premiere Pro 5.5.2 on Mac OSX 10.7.3.
I'm using LR3 (still) with plug-ins for PS and Nik Dfine. Whenever I use either plug-in and return to LR, a "loading" update occurs about every 15 seconds for about a second. This is especially annoying during Brush operations. It not only interrupts what you're doing, but if caught in the middle of a Brush stroke, that stroke is gone when "loading" ends; and if you were in Erase, the brush gets reset to Brush A/B.

This seems to be the one issue my upgrade to a home-built hasn't solved. Having just emptied my cache, I just performed a Dfine noise-reduction on a fresh raw file (Canon 7D), then opened up Brush in LR. Is there anything that can be done to improve performance with plug-ins?
When I import an audio file into Smoke it ends up being longer, and plays slower than it does outside of Smoke.
The file is a stereo mp3, 16 bit, 44kHz
Its normal duration is 13:19
In Smoke it shows up as 13:30
I tried applying a Time Warp to speed it back up but I can't apply the speed change. It is reset back to 100% after trying to change it.
Even if I don't import the file, in the MediaHub, in preview mode it shows up with a duration of 13:30 and plays slowly.
The project has a 24P frame rate in case that has any influence.
I've created a dvd slideshow and also added two music tracks to it. I then used the original file and put two different music tracks on it. I hoped it would then play the slideshow twice and I would hear 4 music tracks (i also want it to repeat continuously).
When I used Share- Create Disc the disc played as I wanted it to on my computer, but when I play it in the dvd player at work it just plays the first video with the first two songs on and keeps repeating this.
Is there a tick box I've missed somewhere for it to play both the videos on a loop not just the first one?
I have been trying to add an MP4 video to edit in VSP. Every time I select the file, it would tell me that "The file had no video data" when it does.
I tried to install the Service Patch which is said to include imports of MP4 files, but it won't install. It tells me " The installed version of the application could not be determined"

The previews are fine. When I click a video to start, it looks good.However, I cannot find a way to easily return to the main menu so I can start the next video. I tried adding navigation buttons but when I previewed the DVD, they did not work.
I am making some videos.. And i really liked the flashback transition. but there's only one transition. i saw some tech videos online where they used somewhat same transitions.. where can we get more transitions?

Now here is what I need to know my options as presented. I want to use a Bluray disc to burn with burner (BD) and play in my Sony S570 3D player to 3D Tv. Do I use the Bluray setting and what format (1920x1080)?

I have a Sony HXR-MC50U HD camera. I have been recording videos and then transferring them to my computer using the USB cord. They are in the AVCHD format. I use VS X4 to edit my movies. The video plays great when on the camcorder, however when I transfer it to the computer something happens. In scenes where I "Pan" I sometimes get what can be described as a "squiggle" that runs in the middle of the screen. Sometimes there is more than one of them. The squiggle looks sort of like when cinemax late night is squiggled out.. It is a blurry line that runs across the middle of the screen. This "squiggle" will then transfer to any output file that I select. Whether I choose HD AVI or HD WMV, it still does it..

But when i placed one video in the video track and other in the over lay track, i am able to see both clippings in preview. But when i tried to make both videos equally to be shared in the screen, the clips shrinks and the picture quality becomes thin rather i want to reduce or cut the half portion of each clip so that when both half porting of the clip will fit the screen size to show as a single clip to have the dual role scenes perfectly.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI've tried to compile videos in Quick time format at 800 x 600, 65% quality, using MPEG4 compression and each time it compiles at a much lower resolution than it should be, I used the Indeo compression for AVI and THAT compiles to my liking at 800 x 600, 65% quality, DivX is only free for 15 days, Xvid and Windows Encoder makes no difference (that can be noticed), Quicktime, DirectX and Windows Media Player is up to date.
I'll try compiling it using a compressor other than MPEG-4, but I'm not too hopeful of improvement, why it can compile AVI, but not Quicktime, I tried batch converting AVI to Quicktime, it still doesn't work.
I´m trying to edit some gopro videos in X4 (i already got the fix so i can import them ). The problem is to save the final video. The original videos are 1280x720 and i would like to keep the same quality and frame size but i cannot seem to find any option that would do and if i choose "same setings as first video clip" it just crashes.
