Oct 12, 2012what does this message mean: "Load from stream error"? It appears all the time and I cannot put any picture in the timeline. Some pictures are white with two black crossed lines.

May 26, 2011I bought a full copy of Videostudio Pro X4 about a month ago after experimenting with the trial version for a good while, and it was all running smoothly until I was adding some rain effects to a rather large movie, and it said something along the lines of not enough space to load something, and then all the FX thumbnails disappeared. When i closed the program and tried to reopen it, it said "Error loading from stream" followed by a "Videostudio Pro has encountered an unspecific error and needs to close, please contact Corel Support and include a copy of the Dump file.". And now every time I try to load the program it gives me this error, and thats without loading the actual project that the file had the initial error on. All the files within the folder were captured via VS either as Video or as Stop-Motion so are under the default settings as I havent changed them or converted them atall.
I cant find anything on the knowledge base about this, and neither on these forums. I'm unsure how I send the Dump File, which I have found to Corel? I'm abit confused from the warranty support bit of the page where it says about having a one-off chance to contact them? So obviously I dont want to mess up my one chance so thought I'd check here what to do next!
A re-install of the program seems the logical next step but will I lose my project?
VideoStudio :: X2 Playback Is Faster Than Original Stream?
Apr 30, 2011I recorded a video from my TV and during recording everything looks normal.
However, when I play back the recording, everything is sped up. I can use VLC Media player to slow down the playback speed to normal, but I can't figure out why the recorded stream is faster than normal. Even when I burn the video to DVD, playback is faster than it should be.
Most streams recorded are played back just fine. Could it be that the source stream for this particular video is different than most and if so, how do I get VS to compensate for this?
Can I use VS to play it back at the correct speed and rerecord the recorded stream?
VideoStudio :: 4U Starts With Load To Stream Error
Mar 1, 2012Along with giving me a failure after closing telling me to send my dmp file to Corel, but Corel not showing me anyway to do this, my newest error is the best one yet. The program opens with a little window saying "Load from Stream Error" and an OK button. The OK button does nothing. Nothing else can be used. The computer is totally locked up with this wonderful piece of unfinished program in place. My only recourse is to power the computer off manually to restart it. starting VS"pro"4U just locks it down again. Is there a way to clear this without following Corels instructions for every problem. That being to remove and reload the program. The next time I remove it will be to throw it and it's boxed installation disk in the trash can, then go out and buy something a bit more reliable. Like Adobe's little girl Premier, or Sony's video editing program.
This looks so nice, if it just worked. I have quite a few hours into a video and just wanted to add a new title when this started.

Feb 6, 2012I am using Corel Video Studio Pro x4 Ultimate with SP2 and I getting significantly lower audio volume in left channel for all stereo downmix streams. The problem is consistent regardless if I make an AVCHD video with background music, or create slide show form still images with music.
I want to eliminate any possible PC setup or installation issues and narrow down the problem to program itself. I have attached sample of stereo 1 KHz 0db test tone, which could be used for this test.
1. Open new project
2. Choose Settings --> Enable 5.1 Surround sound and Wide screen 16:9
3. Import to the library few pictures and 1KHz 0dB.wav
4. Place on the time line pictures (I used 5 sec duration for display and 1 sec cross-fade transition)
5. Add 1 KHz 0 dB.wav to the Music track
6. Select Share tab --> Create Video file --> Custom
7. Choose MPEG Transport Stream .m2ts
8. Select Options --> General 1920x1080 --> 29pfs --> upper field first
9 Select Compression --> Quality 100% --> Dolby Digital Audio --> 3/2 (L,C,R,SL, RL) --> 448 kbps --> OK
4. Name the file and save it.
5. Play rendered file on 2 speaker system (TV or PC)
Playing 5.1 surround sound movies on 2 speaker (i.e. stereo) system will likely force to play Stereo downmix stream only from 5.1 sound. You then should be able to observe that the left channel volume is reduced by -14 dB. (at least this is what I get) which causes significant stereo balance shift.The same test can be done with music files, but if you want to measure the volume drop, test tone is the best way to quantify it.

I have created several libraries for my individual projects but whenever I have finished with one and try to remove (delete) it I get this error message and have to reset to factory defaults. This means losing the libraries I still want to use.

When I used Photshop Elements, I could easily sync the Albums with my Apple Tvs to display the pictures, as well as my other Apple Devices. I can not figure out how to export the collections to the Apple devices, especially the Apple TVs. There must be a way given the power of this software.

I can successfully output an .mpg file for a Windows 7 laptop attached to a LG BX324 Projector [URL]
I use Share | Create Video File | HDV | HDV 1080i 50i for HDV option to achieve this.
I would like to output a movie suitable for an Apple Computer, in frame height 1080 x 1440, as this presentation is for a lecture theatre.
Currently, I do not have access to this Apple computer. I am trying to play a movie generated by Video Studio on my Win 7 PC using my Windows QuickTime Player 7.7.1.
May I ask, is this the way I can test if I can successfully generate a movie suitable for an Apple computer using my Win7 PC?
I've been stumbling around with the share options, but all I seem to be generating is movies of a small size e.g 576 x 720.
Which Share settings should I be using for movie of 1080 x 1440?
VideoStudio :: Several Videos On One DVD
Jun 13, 2012I've created a dvd slideshow and also added two music tracks to it. I then used the original file and put two different music tracks on it. I hoped it would then play the slideshow twice and I would hear 4 music tracks (i also want it to repeat continuously).
When I used Share- Create Disc the disc played as I wanted it to on my computer, but when I play it in the dvd player at work it just plays the first video with the first two songs on and keeps repeating this.
Is there a tick box I've missed somewhere for it to play both the videos on a loop not just the first one?

The previews are fine. When I click a video to start, it looks good.However, I cannot find a way to easily return to the main menu so I can start the next video. I tried adding navigation buttons but when I previewed the DVD, they did not work.

May 12, 2013Have Sony HDR-TD20V 3D camera and transferred 3D videos to PC. Starting X6 program files are recognized as 3D (little box bottom left) putting videos in timeline. Went to "Create Video File" and selected 3D per manual.
Now here is what I need to know my options as presented. I want to use a Bluray disc to burn with burner (BD) and play in my Sony S570 3D player to 3D Tv. Do I use the Bluray setting and what format (1920x1080)?
I know there is AVCHD, MVC and so on as choices. In other words (in case others have similar camcorder and X6 software) what are the steps I need to follow. I was wondering if I had to leave file as is or have it side by side, etc.
My 3D Tv is able to play any formats (side, Up/DN, etc) I used the Sony Play Memories and burned a bluray successfully but played only in 2D. I've read about players needed to be AVCHD 2.0 to play Play Memories 3D made disc.
I want to be able to use X6 to create discs, burn them and play in BD 3D player.

Sep 21, 2011I have a Sony HXR-MC50U HD camera. I have been recording videos and then transferring them to my computer using the USB cord. They are in the AVCHD format. I use VS X4 to edit my movies. The video plays great when on the camcorder, however when I transfer it to the computer something happens. In scenes where I "Pan" I sometimes get what can be described as a "squiggle" that runs in the middle of the screen. Sometimes there is more than one of them. The squiggle looks sort of like when cinemax late night is squiggled out.. It is a blurry line that runs across the middle of the screen. This "squiggle" will then transfer to any output file that I select. Whether I choose HD AVI or HD WMV, it still does it..

But when i tried to make both videos equally to be shared in the screen, the clips shrinks and the picture quality becomes thin rather i want to reduce or cut the half portion of each clip so that when both half porting of the clip will fit the screen size to show as a single clip to have the dual role scenes perfectly.

Mar 23, 2012I've tried to compile videos in Quick time format at 800 x 600, 65% quality, using MPEG4 compression and each time it compiles at a much lower resolution than it should be, I used the Indeo compression for AVI and THAT compiles to my liking at 800 x 600, 65% quality, DivX is only free for 15 days, Xvid and Windows Encoder makes no difference (that can be noticed), Quicktime, DirectX and Windows Media Player is up to date.
I'll try compiling it using a compressor other than MPEG-4, but I'm not too hopeful of improvement, why it can compile AVI, but not Quicktime, I tried batch converting AVI to Quicktime, it still doesn't work.

Aug 29, 2012The last version of VS I've used was V10. Just installed X5. I'm making a disk that has 2 videos in it. I want 2 menu options, one for each video file. The way I used to do it was to create 2 projects. In each project I'd edit the video as I need. I'd then create a 3rd project and add both projects with the edited videos in them.
Is this still the way to create a disk with multiple videos in it or is there a better way? If I do it this way will I get any audio sync problems? Had that with older versions.
Also, can I edit 2 videos in the same project without having them both in the same timeline?
VideoStudio :: FLV Videos Are Suddenly Low Quality?
Aug 31, 2011I recently upgraded both my computer (to an Intel i7 processor) and editing program from VideoStudio X3 to X4. Suddenly, the FLV videos I convert are appalling quality. Just two weeks ago, I was converting videos to FLV on X3 and the quality was fine. If I use any of the standard options for FLV conversion, the video is such bad quality that it's almost smeared. Even when I increase the bitrate to 1000 (the maximum), it's incredibly pixellated, but less smeary.
