I want to use some portions of a clip that I have modifyed to another new project. I tried with copy/past, but they are not transfered to the new project.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a 20 sec RAW .mts clip taken with a Panasonic TM700. I wanted to test it in VS X3 to see if the program would handle the file.
I noticed that when selecting "Project" to play the file in the preview window that certain elements of the clip look very noisy or overly sharp...Grainy, if you will. Other elements look slightly blurred. The playback seems smooth though.
However, If selecting "Clip" it looks much better. When I drag the sliders to expand the preview window to it's max size, the "Clip" playback looks flawless yet the "Project" playback, while slightly better, still looks less than desirable.

Before I decide to buy this camera, I just want to be sure that X3 can handle the files and that I have a fairly decent grasp of how to properly render the final video. In the mean time, I'll keep editing some sample clips and see how the program handles them. I'll also attempt to render a short film or 2 and see how that goes.
I have few avi video clips which I believe I imported from camcorder using windows moviemaker. When I play those clips in any media player they play fine.
I have latest Corel Video Studio Pro X3. When I import this videos into timeline and play clips sound plays fine but when I play the project there is no audio. Even if I render it there is no sound.
I'm wondering if it is normal for my clips to have jerky preview. I am editing 1080p MOV clips and I've made sure that Smart Proxy is enabled and that the files do exist. Smart Proxy settings are default to activate with any clip that is larger than 720X480. After I've dragged a clip onto the timeline I get jerky preview if I select "clip" and then click play. But if I select "project" it plays smoothly. Scrubbing is also smooth. My question is why are my clips so jerky? It seems that "clip" preview is automatically using the original video file and not the proxy. I'm on a slow computer, but that's not the issue because everything except the individual clips plays smoothly. And yes, the Smart Proxy icon is on my clips and it's had plenty of time to complete the proxy creation. I've even completely removed VS with Revo Uninstaller and reinstalled it. No change.
View 6 Replies View Related X4. I created a 48hz sample rate 24 bit WAV file on my portable Tascam recorder.. I am creating a sales presentation for my invention. I have brought in many different videos I created on my camera and have edited them successfully with single clip and multi clip. Also have been able to split audio out of video. adjust sections using the nodes with the sound mixer.. move audio after split to different areas on the timeline.. However I need to do some voice over work. I figured it would be much easier and better quality for me to use my tascam to create the wav's and then just drop them into the project, edit them and place them where I want them, mute the voice I have on the video..
I was able to bring the .wavs in just fine.. and while editing them in clip mode they play just fine, I can shorten them or cut them where I need too. But when I choose to play back the project with the .wav in one one of the additional sound/music tracks I get very nasty static only. None of my recorded voice is audible. click to clip mode on the wav audio and it plays perfect. I tried moving it to the voice over track area and same exact problem.
am I missing a switch function somewhere? I made sure I muted the video clips above the .wav in the timeline. The manual says to use import option to bring in audio files but I do not see an import button anywhere? missing something? seems to me the drag and drop or add to library a wave file should work.. ??
I have imported 5 clips into Videostudio Pro X4, all taken concurrently with the same camera/settings etc. If I play back a single clip, the quality is as I would expect it to be. If I switch to playing back project rather than clip, there is a noticeable drop in quality.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used many clips capture from a Sony HD Camorder. Everything's working fine in Video Studio when I do a preview of my project.
My problem is with the exported file ; on some clip, when the clip begin the sound is muted for about 7-8 seconds, After that, the sound come back. I tried to slip the sound from the clip, remove the transition, nothing work.
I updated all the drivers...I tried on an other computer...still the problem.
Describe your problem: Once I've inserted a video file or files into the project timeline, playing the videos with the word "Project" under the screen highlighted, the audio (which is speech only) breaks up - all I hear is parts of words every second or two. Highlighting the term "Clip" just under "Project" provides clear, unbroken audio. This condition is new, first occurring after I installed VideoStudio Pro X3 Fix for MLE Database Incompatibility with PaintShop Photo Pro X3. Since then, I have re-loaded VSX3 and all the patches but to no avail. Note: the same video files can be processed by Windows Live Movie Maker and the audio and video come out fine, even if the effects are primitive.
What devices are involved and their mode of connection?: NONE, files are either in the VS Projects file or in my Videos folder. The Version of program is being used: Video Studio Pro X3. Please list all patches/updates that have been installed relating to that version of the program. I've installed all three patches and updates available on the Corel site (thru the User to User board) plus any updates offered by Corel.

I am editing a video and the footage is an HD .mov (30 fps, 24bit 1920x1080 48s in length) file recorded directly from a logitech webcam. The clip plays fine in the Library, but when I add it to the storyboard/timeline the video plays super fast, then goes blank for the duration of the clip.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased VideoStudio X5 for HD editing of .MTS clips from my Panasonic HS700 video camera. I transfer the clips to my hard drive using explorer and then use the X5 program to bring them into the library and then to the timeline. Due to my volume problem I re-downloaded VSX5, reinstalled it and installed SP1 patch, updated my Video Card Driver to the latest, updated Direct X and made sure my Microsoft Updates are all up to date.
My Volume problem is, during the editing proces you use both the Project playback and also individual clip playback. Without any manual changes to clip volume, when I play an individual clip the volume is substatially higher than when I play the project over the same clip area. This is annoying to me and those nearby. Earlier versions of VS did not do this.
If I change the individual clip volume up or down from 100% then when I play either the project or individual clip the volume remains the same (ie.it is no longer louder in clip mode).
I'm trying to match the project settings to an imported HD video clip (1920x1080 *.mts).I've been using videoStudio for years but only in 720x480 SD. I just got a Panasonic HDC-SDT750PP HD camera and want to make sure the video output file makes the most out of both camera and X3 but in project settings it only allows 720x480.
Does the project setting have any affect on the final video file?The properties of the video file says 1920x1080 24b H264 yet the source file extension is *.mts
My intention is to create a HD video file that I burn to a Hybrid DVD until I get a Blu-ray burner but what format to save the file in if the X3 project setting only goes to 720x480.
Using X5 pro, a project comprising an introduction and 6 clips was created, with menu. Each clip has its own sound (voice and music). The rendering config included 2 pass conversion and normalise sound checked, for creation of a disk image on an HDD folder. The preview worked fine - vision and sound OK. Because there were multiple disks to be made, the image creation also worked fine, as did the burn disk from iso.
But when the resulting disk was played back after burning, the first clip on it had no sound. Imagery fine, just no sound. It wasn't an isolated case. A repeat try - with particular care to check this aspect, ie sound on the clip, was OK during preview - got the same result in the final disk.
can i clone (not copy) cfx clip ? so any update made to the cfx clip will automatically update all the instance ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo we have this custom construction note routine. It creates all the notes with station, offset, blah blah , and it is all together as once piece. So if you move the note group the leader will stay attached to it and it holds all of the label properties.
When I copy clip, wblock, insert these key notes into another drawing they are no longer a group and there is no way to move them all together.
This has created a lot of extra work and moving stuff around that does not seem necessary.How can I copy or move construction key notes from one drawing to another without losing the group properties. I have tried WBlock and making sure the grouping is on when I copy and paste/insert them but it still doesn't work.
Oh and we are running a 64bit 2013 with the carlson suite application,
My brand spanking new Acad2012 cannot copy anything to the windows clipboard...it freezes as soon as I hit enter after selecting the objects I want to copy. The only solution is to taskmanager and kill it.
I've had to go back to using my old AcadLT 2002 in my WindowsXP VM.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using ACAD 2000. My wblock and copyclip commands are not working only in one specific drawing. I am working in modelspace.
When I wblock it lets me select the objects and assign a file to save the objects to. When I hit OK it gives me no error but no file is created.
When I copyclip it gives me no error, but when I pasteclip, nothing happens.
I tried saving the drawing as something else. This drawing simply won't let me copyclip or wblock. I can use the copy command to make multiple copies of the object in question within the drawing. I tried restarting my PC and this particular drawing still has the same problem. Other drawings are fine.
How can I copy the timecode from the clip in my viewer, and jump to that point in another clip?
I use this often to compare the same point in time for an offline to online clip. I can open the timecode input window, and manually enter the timecode from one clip to another, but I can't seem to find the copy and paste commands that will use that timecode as the input.
When I copyclip a dimension from one drawing with UCS set to world/north, then paste into another drawing with UCS rotated in Z (south for example), the text remains oriented to north. The original drawing doesn't have to be set to world, just something different from the paste orientation.
Is there a way to have the text orient itself to the current UCS at paste?
I have finished a family project (mainly images with titles) for my granddaughter and burned it to DVD. I included quite a few photos of her ancestors and titled them all. I am extremely happy with the result.How I need to do the same for my grandson. This one will include all the photos I have from his birth to his latest 14th Birthday. I would like to copy the section on Ancestors from my granddaughter's DVD to this new one without having to add all the old photos again and add titles to each.
Would it be possible to load the original VSP file and delete all the other content and then add new content around it? Is there an easier and more "professional" way to do this?

Open a second VS don't work out of the box. It just goes to my already open window, if I try to open again. I don't want to convert is as a Video first - if I ever want to make changes this might make it more complicated - depending on the situation.
I'm working on a project that pulls together many short clips from many much longer video files e.g. there might be less than a minute pulled from a 60 minute file then another then another etc. I found that my computer (which is reasonably beefy) was struggling to cope with the workload so I split the project into separate project files i.e. Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. My thinking was that once I had done all the editing I could cut and paste all the clips into a single new project file before rendering the entire thing. But I can't work out how to do it! Sure, I can copy and past individual clips or even a sequence of clips but on pasting they lose all the editing I've done! I just end up with a uniform bunch of unedited clips!
I guess the alternative is to render each project file (1, 2 and 3) separately then pull the rendered videos together into Project 4. I can then render Project 4 to give me my final 'movie'. But surely that means as I've rendered everything twice I'm suffering a quality loss?
So the question is: is there any way of copying edited video clips from one project file into another project file AND retaining all the edits?
I was wondering if there is a way to copy tracks (video, overlay, audio) from an old project into a new project.
I have tried copy them and paste them but that is not possible.
An other solution could be to make a video file of the "old project" and import that on the video track in the new project.
In the past using Pinnacle copy tracks from other projects and paste them in new projects was a possibility.

I have tried to copy a premiere pro cc project to an exernal location three times and each time the operation has failed. The first time adobe told me it couldn't locate two files and erased all of the files that had been copied and the copy folder. The second time it did the same thing. The third time it told me it couldn't locate yet another file but didn't erase it just stopped running the operation and left the copy folder half completed. All of the files it is claiming to not be able to locate are linked fine inside of the timeline and it exports fine.
