Dec 18, 2012how can I set compatability in photoshop elements? Fonts are to small to read. I have tried all settings in properties no luck. OS Win7 64 Asus 1080i HD moniter.

Photoshop Elements :: Tiny Fonts Became Very Small Fonts On 11?
Oct 9, 2012Once I installed windows 7, while I WAS using PSE 9, I had the tiny font problem. I stopped using PSE for 2 years. I just installed PSE 11. Though better, the Font is still way smaller than I would like. Maybe it's just tougher for seniors? Can they not make the font adjustable? I was told there is no way to increase the size of the font?

Nov 9, 2013I am running a subscription to Creative Cloud on a new Windows laptop....just Photoshop to start with. The fonts and icons are so small I can hardly see them...I have to get really close to the screen. I went to Edit >Preferences >Interface and changed the font size from medium to large but that didn't work (or if it did, the change was negligible). My screen resolution is set at 1920x1080 (recommended). I tried lowering it but that only changed the sizes of the fonts on my desktop, not in Photoshop. I run PS cs4 on my old laptop and never have had this problem.

Sep 5, 2007I have the Adobe Font Package but I'm having trouble finding what I need for my banner ads. Because I'm working in small type, I need thick fonts that look good in small, 12-16pt type.
I've found that Myriad Pro Bold is a good one for this but I'm looking for others that will give a nice, professional look to my banner ads as well.

Oct 7, 2007For some reason, i have to make my text the max size in order to see them! When i set the font to 1296 (the max) i can see it as if it were approx. 18 pt or so. has this happened to anybody else? what can i do?!

May 6, 2007i cant seem to make my font readable on the program. everytime i try to right, the font size seems to be stuck on an extreamly small size. even if i change the size to 18 or 47, its miniscule, and i can't seem to find a way to fix it.

Jun 27, 2013Something just happened here. In the past, when I open any photo in Elements 10, the image would pretty much fill the space. the bottom edge of the picture would almost reach the bottom of the workspace...whether vertical or horizontal format. Then I would create a duplicate and hit either ctrl + 0 (zero) and the duplicate would be a nice large size. ( Double clicking on the little hand in the tool bar would also do the same trick).
Now , for some reason, the picture opens to maybe 60% of that size. It's way too small to work on comfortably. The duplicate is even smaller. When I hit the ctrl + 0 ...nothing happens size remains the same. If I pull on lower right hand corner to enlarge...it only enlarges the ruler and frame. Picture itself remains same small size. How can I get that back? I tried a system restore. that did not work.

Jan 19, 2014I am trying to move my Photoshop Elements 9 catalog from my PC to my Mac.
I have backed up the catalog to an external HDD but when I connect it to the Mac I can see the folder but I cannot open it. The backup is big, over 200GB, could this be the problem? I have several other backups on the same HDD but the MAC cannot read any of them.
I can open the folders without any problem on a PC. I took the HDD to a Mac "Genius Bar" and they could not open the folders on their Mac either and had no idea what could be causing the problem. I had no problem migrating to the Mac about a year ago when I first got it, but I suppose the backup would have been smaller then.

May 19, 2013I've used photoshop elements 10 ad it's worked fine on my other computers. I just purchased a new computer, same size monitor and I can barely read the font or text on it. I have 20/20 vision but the workspace is so small on this computer. I've tried changing the resolution on my screens and it's not changing photoshops screen at all. I'm not sure why it is a great size on my past computers and this updated computer it's not showing properly ? I can not use the program any longer with the changed sizing.

Mar 13, 2014I have Photoshop Elements 10 on my Mac and my PC. I have several catalogs on an external harddrive with older photos. I have tried to get my Elements on my Mac to read those catologs. However, it gives me a message that the catologs are in a older format and need to be upgraded or damaged and need to be repaired. I ran the repair utiity on the catologs using Elements on my PC and it found nothing wrong. My PC version can open the files without any issues. Both versions of Elements are the exact same. I installed them both the same day from the same CD set (Elements 10 came with both PC and Mac versions).

Oct 25, 2012Using PSE9 on 2 PCs. Files are stored locally on each, and updates synced via Windows Mesh.
1) Add tag to jpg on PC1 using PSE.
2) Execute PSE "write to file" command before closing app
3) Confirm on PC2 via Windows Explorer that tag info is updated on local file
4) Open PSE on PC2, bur additional tag info is not recognized by PSE.
5) Tried to re-import test files in PSE using "Get Files" function, but tag data was still not read by PSE.
6) Manually added new tag to tag list, reloaded PSE, but new tag info still not read on file.
7) Ran Optimize and Repair catalog functions, but problem persisits.
How do I get PSE to read tag info on updated jpg files without rebuilding the entire catalog every time I edit a file?
Photoshop Elements :: Making Small Photos Larger To Be Used In Slideshow
Jan 4, 2014I am using Photoshop elements 10 with windows 7 on my Toshiba laptop.
I am trying to make a slide show of photos for my brother's funeral. The photos will be shown on a screen at the church and on a TV monitor at home. I was used to Photoshop 4, but had purchased but not really used Photoshop Elements 10. I am about 1000 miles away from home so I cannot go back to try to using Photoshop 4 which is not on this laptop. I don't think I want to change (i.e. resample) the pixels, etc.
I have put into order all of the photos. However, the photos are of varying sizes. The photos taken digitally are fine. However, I have a lot of photos take a long time ago for like 3X3 or 2X3, i.e. like in the 50's - 90's, which were scanned. Then provided to me in a variety of ways. Coming to me they are small on the page. ie like in one corner. I am not trying to shrink these photos. I am trying to resize them larger. And probably get rid of most of the white background.
