In my iMac 27", it's very hard to read the filenames over the thumbs, unless you have a binocular, in the preferences I can only set the panels font size.
Any way to have large easily readable fonts in the grid ?
Once I installed windows 7, while I WAS using PSE 9, I had the tiny font problem. I stopped using PSE for 2 years. I just installed PSE 11. Though better, the Font is still way smaller than I would like. Maybe it's just tougher for seniors? Can they not make the font adjustable? I was told there is no way to increase the size of the font?
I am running a subscription to Creative Cloud on a new Windows laptop....just Photoshop to start with. The fonts and icons are so small I can hardly see them...I have to get really close to the screen. I went to Edit >Preferences >Interface and changed the font size from medium to large but that didn't work (or if it did, the change was negligible). My screen resolution is set at 1920x1080 (recommended). I tried lowering it but that only changed the sizes of the fonts on my desktop, not in Photoshop. I run PS cs4 on my old laptop and never have had this problem.
I have the Adobe Font Package but I'm having trouble finding what I need for my banner ads. Because I'm working in small type, I need thick fonts that look good in small, 12-16pt type.
I've found that Myriad Pro Bold is a good one for this but I'm looking for others that will give a nice, professional look to my banner ads as well.
For some reason, i have to make my text the max size in order to see them! When i set the font to 1296 (the max) i can see it as if it were approx. 18 pt or so. has this happened to anybody else? what can i do?!
how can I set compatability in photoshop elements? Fonts are to small to read. I have tried all settings in properties no luck. OS Win7 64 Asus 1080i HD moniter.
My photos are stored on an external HDD and have the usual size (like 5 MB/JPEG) on that harddisc.
When i develop and export a photo in LR (Settings in Export-Window: 100%/JPEG) i do get files of very small sizes (like 100kb) and low quality in my export-folder, but i'd like to export them in higher quality.
What can be done or what am i doing wrong? I thought LR would use the full-size photos and apply the development changes to them but i got the feeling it uses my "minimal previews" somehow.
I shoot in both cr2 (23 MB) and Small-jpeg. Afterwards I upload the pictures to Lightroom and have the appear in the catalog as one picture. Here I make all the editing and when I export the picture back to my harddrive as a jpeg I can only get a file of 3-500 kb. I know I have made some croping - but not that much. It is like Lightroom is working on the jpeg picture and not my cr2 picture. It may be a setting?
Sometimes some pics after being imported, have short horizontal lines next to keywords before I do anything with the photos. Is Lightroom somehow suggesting keywords that I should apply to these images?
In Lightroom 3.6 when I click on a thumbnail to enlarge it to "fit" the page it sometimes comes in very small (432x288) even though the pixels are set to 1440 in catalog settings, and I cannot seem to enlarge the image.
When I export an image with dimesions of 4214x3371, the image size will show as 1.124x1.405''. This is a problem because I am trying to print my images on a 16x20'' canvas. My resolution is set at 3000ppi and I am exporting RAW files to an uncompressed TIFF file with my color space being ProPhoto RGB.
This is my work scenario. I shoot on Cannon 50D in raw (15 mp). Upload the images to computer and import to Lightroom. I make my adjustmenst in Lightroom and many images I pull from Lightroom into Photoshop CS5 and do additional artistic touches there. I save from Photoshop so that it re-opens it back in Lightroom with my Photoshop adjustments. After I have done this with all of my images I then export the images my clients select for their purchased disc. This where I am concerned...
What I know had once started out as large raw files are quite small by the dimension size, average approximate dimensions are 4750x3170. File settings are set to quality 100 and under Image Sizing I do not have 'resize to fit' checked. On occasion I have used the crop feature in Lightroom but not on many images and all of my images are small not just certain ones.
I am fairly new to Lightroom but nervous about using it right now. I am actually postponing editing a new session until I can get some clear answers or I may just have to tackle the whole session in Photoshop like I used to because I will at least know that file sizes will not decrease in size.
I would like to crop a small part of a larger image with custom / free flow dimensions to the crop and then be able to print / export at a know print friendly aspect ration. An example would be a taking a crop of one person in a couple, from a larger image. The crop is outside common aspect ratios. Can lightroom fit the image to an aspect ratio of my liking whilst maintaining everything I have cropped?
I imported pictures, edited all of them, then noticed that they are small, eg. size 190 KB. Trouble!!! Is there any way to link the edited images with the full size images that are of several MB's?? Hate to lose all the work that was done in editing.
My lens profiles in the distortion correction list are small. I looked at the official list and mine is not right. I only have one Tamron lens profile. Nikon and Canon only have about 6 lenses each. What gives?
I love LRs ability to create great watermarks. Only thing, they seem to come out (from DNGs) at about 3 mb apiece (quality setting at 79) - super large. So I clicked the box to limit file size, and I chose 300k (for web), and it says "could not create a jpeg that met your limit".
Selecting three or more picturesAdjust something (enabled auto sync)Selecting a not adjusted picturesFirst picture is updated, the others adjusted picture are not updated. The previews in the filmstrip stays until I select them and they are displayed and updated Any chance to get at least the small preview pictures in the filmstrip automatically updated?
I run MacOS 10.9, Lightroom 5.3 and I print on an Epson R3000.
The first problem I had was that the images was printed on just a small part of the paper and it cut the images. I have attached a picture showing this. I totally reinstalled my computer and now it looks like that problem is gone (for now at least). But now the images are printed but much smaller than the paper I specify. If I specify A3+ I get something close to A4. Borderless printing on 6*4 looks to be working as it should but that's the only I managed to print so far.
I tested printing from Photoshop 5.1 and that worked fine.
I have a user and when he's in sketch mode he trys to draw a line but it keeps on snapping to a grid. Both snap and grid setting are switched off. I can't find any settings he has different from my own set-up so I'm finding it hard to fox this problem. FYI, this user is a bit of a problem and tends to change settings without even realising he's doing it.
Revit has a propensity to locate a lay-in ceiling grid with a grid intersection in the center of the room. You can use the alignment tool to align the grid with a wall. But I see no way to center a tile in a room. This is often a necessity in a narrow room, to keep the lights centered. Also, installers, when not given specific instructions to the contrary, will often locate the ceiling grid to minimize narrow tiles at the wall. We need more control over the position of the grid.
When i pick points from the drawing using the ID command i recieve a long and meaningless coordinate which is useless to me when setting out. How i can rotate my drawing so that firstly its aligned with my grid and secondly give it the same coordinates as my site based local coordinated grid?
When using the perspective grid tool and type, I have a word on the right side of the grid in perspective, and I want to make a shadow of this word flat on the bottom grid. (Like how a tall building casts a shadow flat on the ground)
I tried using the shear tool to do it but it is a bit tricky getting it just right. There must be an easier way to do it within the perspective tool grid.
When I type the word and align it to the bottom grid, how do I rotate it whilst still being aligned in perspective on the bottom grid?If I try and rotate the word using the selection tool it rotates off axis so it is no longer laying flat on the bottom grid.
Words placed on the bottom grid always read from the left vanishing point - I want the word to read from the right vanishing point so it aligns with my word on the right grid wall.
In LR 4, a small dark circle is appearing in the right upper corner of an image; hovering over it does not bring up an explanation and when tapping on it, it turns white?
Understanding that composite volumes are typically more accurate, I have a reason to evaluate the volume between two surfaces via a grid volume. Easily created a grid volume surface using a 50' grid (50' is large for this site, but wanted to get a feel for calculation time).
Question: Can you change the grid size without creating a new grid surface? Ultimately I woud like to explore the difference in volumes based on grid sizing without creating a long list of surfaces. One would expect that you could chage the grid spacing in surface properties, but the values are non-editable.
I was working on some isometric drawings for my CAD class and I can't seem to figure out how to get the grid back to the standard 2D grid view that I used to get when opening CAD. I now jusr get this dotted grid every time:
