I have just upgraded to the latest verison of photoshop. I am editing pictures, and makes use of the Brush Tool, so the area around the object is white or very light in clolour. It was working fine before, but stopped workign all of a sudden. It will allow me to use darker colours, but any light colour simply does nothing when using the Brush Tool.
View 3 RepliesI recently installed Photoshop CS4 and find the brush cursor faulty. Only a portion of the cursor shows up. With a small brush most of the cursor shows. With a large brush only a small segment in the upper left shows. Anybody else have this problem? Anybody have a solution?

Instead of the normal circle to indicate the area that will be affected by the brush, it turns into a large curved X, or a large half moon. I have loaded the office copy of Photoshop elements on my computer. It is only being used on one computer. I have tried to log in with my password but when they send the email and I follow the link it can't log me in. I also find the Spot healing Brush tool doesn't work. I have a Windows 7 64 bit.

Normally,when preparing to print, the image appears red or magenta in the "preview" window but the print itself is accurate and matches the monitor. Now, the preview image is dark and roughly similar to the monitor but prints with a distinct greenish cast.
I have confirmed settings of no color management by the printer and checked ICM. I've read that this suggests no color management at all, rather than double profiling.
The monitor itself is calibrated but I wouldn't think it would affect the
preview image. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software[2x] and deleted Prefereences in PS, with no effect.
I am not very good with photoshop, and if there was a brush tool setting to make it just like an actual paint brush.

The brush tool loses the outline of the tool as the diameter gets larger. e.g. at 175px there is a fill outline of the tool. At 200px only a semi-circle is shown.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with the Blob Brush tool where I can't change the basic brush to something else. Whenever I pick a brush I want and I try draw with the Blob Brush tool, the brush I picked reverts back to the basic brush. Here are screenshots:

Am I doing something wrong or is the Blob Brush tool only capable of using the basic brush?
I designed a dynamic block to represent the profile of boreholes, and its different layers (depths, in profile) are linked to the respective description text by a leader.
Problem is when I flip the text with its leader, the tip of the arrow loses contact with the borehole. And as I flip more times, the further it gets from its original position.
How come the width tool can ne used on a path made by pen tool but not brush strokes? Is a brush stroke not a path??

The Selection Brush Tool allows you to paint a selection free style without being bothered by the "Quick" feature that provides guesses about where you might want to select. I could not find the Selection Brush Tool in CS5. Is there one? The lasso is not as easy to use.
