I have PSE7 and have always been able to do panoramas. Today when I attempt the app crashes. I restart and it does this many times. I have win 7 that automatically updates. Are there conflicts in updating?

I have created a new user account, created restore points on my PC, attempted to change the preference files, all to no avail. The software came installed on my PC, so I'm unable to do an uninstall and reinstall as I don't have the installation CD. The PC manufacturer and Adobe support have been unable to provide me with a product key. fix the "run time error"? Until it's fixed, the product is unusable.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI received PSE 8 in a bundle with a Bamboo tablet. I loaded it up and have been editing pictures just fine. Yesterday I downloaded and installed some actions from MCP's site and messed with a few of them. Today I downloaded and installed the MCP Facebook actions. I was able to mess around with it a bit along with some other action until after a few minutes I reveived a message from Adobe telling me that it has detected that a program closed unexpectedly and asked if I wanted to send an error report, which I have. I gave it a rest for a while but it is still crashing. I can get into the Organizer but when I attempt to go into any of the edit areas, it will load up and after a few seconds I get the message. I am using Windows 7

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to shoot a panorama (6 - 7 photos) and merge the photos using Photoshop. Photoshop is doing a nice job of merging the scenes. However, the shade of the sky on each photo is a little different (the buildings and other objects look fine, or at least differences aren't perceptible) thus, I have distinct lines between each photo in the sky (or water) areas. How can I correct this in Photoshop (I'm a casual PS user, and I have PS CS2) so that all the sky (and water) areas look the same?

Is PaSt available with PS (with which minimum ver.)?
I read here in the forums that there are various capacity problems with PaSt.
In that regard, and any other aspect, if PaSt is available with PS, what are the main differences using PS or PE with PaSt feature?
When I make panoramas in Photoshop CS6 (after selecting and preparing individual images in LR4), I sometimes wish to modify Photoshop's automatic blending of layers. An example is when a moving person is in two or more adjacent frames & I wish to use a version from a different frame than PS selects. The layer masks are all either pure white or pure black, thus selecting the portions of each frame that is used, but with no gray portions for blending. Opacity of all layers is 100%. So, some other invisible-to-me mechanism is being used to seamlessly blend the layers. When I try to select portions of a different frame (in areas of overlap) by painting white on a mask and black on layer masks above it in the stack, I can partially make visible the desired area but it appears as partially transparent & thus low contrast. How can I get full control of what is included in the final composite?

i.e. : if I shoot frames in panoramic and then do a slight tilt up pass and a slight tilt down pass, when I auto align the layers in stitching, will Photoshop have any clue as to what I'm trying to do? Does it is good for the software if I make a much larger canvas first to allow for that space?
Would someone please explain why a panorama consisting of 27 images totaling 36MB becomes an 800+/-MB file necessitating it be saved as a ".psb," "Photoshop RAW" or .TIFF file?
I would like to open this file on computers that do not have Photoshop CS, CS2, CS3 loaded eliminating the .psb/Photoshop RAW and so far I have only been able to save the image as a corrupted .TIFF file, i.e. does not open properly.
What is wrong with Adobe and their PSE program? PSE 9 Organiser crashes every time on opening and I have cleared the catalogue. Downloaded PSE 11 Trial version, found my photo's and old catalogue (on which I had spent a lot of time many months ago) then crashed!
View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried to create a collage from 3 images. I choose this three images and select the format. After that I click Ok, then PSE will crash. I repeat this a few times by using other formats, but still this wont work.
I am using Microsoft Windows 8 and Photoshop Elements 11.
I migrated from PSE8 to PSE11 with 4 catalogs. PSE 11 works okay with 3 catalogs while crashing with the 4th one.
Symptoms:
- Whe starting Organizer with the catalog it starts indexing of person-data. This stops at 0%. PSE does not respond any more (kept it for 3 hours) and needs to be terminated via Task Manager.
- When starting Organizer with Shift pressed, I can repair and optimize the catalog. When indexing similarity data (German: "Visuelle Ähnlichkeitsdaten erneut indizieren"), Organizer crashes after 100% - crash means: Organizer disapears from desktop and tasklist.
I also tried to repair and optimize the catalog in PSE8 beforehand. This works fine.
After editing/touching up a significant number of photos, Photoshop Elements 11 either hangs or closes down. Works fine again after re-opening (however, unsaved work lost), but will repeat this behavior again without warning. Running the app in Windows 7 (64-bit), 8GB or RAM and an SSD drive and have applied all program updates.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new virtual tour 360 business and I want to "perfect" my panos. After I stitch the four pictures together, I'm left with the tripod showing on the bottom of the pano. I want to delete the tripod, but don't know the best way to do this. I have been trying to do this with smart carver, but it seems to take a long time and not having the success I would like. I thought it might be easier if I took a picture of where the tripod was, minus the tripod and then merge the two pictures together. It needs to be perfect, because there might be an instance of a wood floor that needs to match up.

When I entered the Organizer, everything worked well until I tried to create a new category under a category that had already been created. After several attempts (and crashes) I rebooted the computer and succeeded in creating the new category. When I then attempted repeatedly to create a new album within the new category, the Organizer again crashed several times. I suspect that rebooting the computer will fix the immediate problem, but this should not occur in the first place and is unacceptable as an ongoing problem.

I also need to reload Lightroom 4, which I have a disk for, but I keep getting an error 1935 when trying to install it. I thought I would just go to the Adobe site and download it too, but besides the same problem I'm having with downloading PSE8, my Adobe info only listed PSE8. My records show I registered Lightroom November 2012.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Canon SX30IS. When I use PSE9 to download from memory card, if there are any videos present on the card, the Photo Downloader crashes.
I believe that it is something to do with Apple Quicktime. When I uninstall Quicktime , PSE downloader does not crash while importing media form this camera, but cannot play video clips. On reinstalling Quicktime , the PSE downloader crashes while searching the memory card for media.
I have not upgraded PSE twice now because of this crash. What makes it worse is that Apple Quicktime is a very poor media player, managing about 2FPS on the video clips from this camera when both the Canon and the VLC video codecs can manage 30FPS.
I would much prefer if I could choose to use a video renderer, like using any available Windows codecs rather than insisting on using annoying Apple software.
The screen shot below shows a patently false error message when attempting to open a 13.3 MB .PICT file in Photoshop 13.0.5 under Lion 10.7.5, while there are clearly over 15 GB of free, unused RAM, and over 500 GB available for scratch.
I'm showing this only to highlight the unreliability of "not enough RAM" error messages that can send a user on a futile wild-goose chase.
The file is obviously corrupted, as it is the result of a futile attempt to extract any image files in a rescued archive of some sort (from the infamous Webshots by Smile site that recently caused millions of images from thousands of former Premium account holders to be lost). But there's definitely not a RAM problem here. Other, healthy files of over 1 GB open without any problem.
I've got a PC with 12 GB of memory, 9 allocated to PS CS5.A Radeon 5970 video card with 2GB on-board memory.... although CS5 might only accept 1GB.I open 30 files about 200K each, which would put total usage around 6 MB total... let's say 7MB to add a little buffer.
I could process the first 10-12 files. I was just cropping each image to what I needed to do. Nothing was standard, so an action or some other automated process was not a viable option.After each crop, I would save the image and close it out.
About the 13-14 image, as I was starting to crop, the image would just disappear completely so I couldn't crop the image at all.All video drivers and Adobe updates are installed.I could close the program and restart it, and it worked fine. But I shouldn't have to do that.
Here are the specs on my hardware;
iMac 27" (2011)
OS X 10.8.4
HD 2Tb (1.2Tb Free)
12Gb RAM
3.4 GHz i7 processor
No other applications running and Photoshop has access too 100% of the RAM.
This problem started today when i tryed to throw a drop shadow on a layer. in RGB mode. "Program Error," appeared and would not let me access any Blending options. Although, in cmyk mode it works perfectly fine.

About 60% of the time when I try to double click a vector smart object instead of opening it up in Illustrator I get an error that says, "Could not edit original smart object because of program error." This most recent time it was a smart object from vector data I copied and pasted from Illustrator into Photoshop.
