View 4 RepliesMy understanding is that Panoramas Stitching (=>PaSt) feature is available with PhotoShop Elements (PE). I am not familiar with the PE product. Is PE a stand alone product or does it require PS?
Is PaSt available with PS (with which minimum ver.)?
I read here in the forums that there are various capacity problems with PaSt.
In that regard, and any other aspect, if PaSt is available with PS, what are the main differences using PS or PE with PaSt feature?
When I make panoramas in Photoshop CS6 (after selecting and preparing individual images in LR4), I sometimes wish to modify Photoshop's automatic blending of layers. An example is when a moving person is in two or more adjacent frames & I wish to use a version from a different frame than PS selects. The layer masks are all either pure white or pure black, thus selecting the portions of each frame that is used, but with no gray portions for blending. Opacity of all layers is 100%. So, some other invisible-to-me mechanism is being used to seamlessly blend the layers. When I try to select portions of a different frame (in areas of overlap) by painting white on a mask and black on layer masks above it in the stack, I can partially make visible the desired area but it appears as partially transparent & thus low contrast. How can I get full control of what is included in the final composite?

After I stitch the four pictures together, I'm left with the tripod showing on the bottom of the pano. I want to delete the tripod, but don't know the best way to do this. I have been trying to do this with smart carver, but it seems to take a long time and not having the success I would like. I thought it might be easier if I took a picture of where the tripod was, minus the tripod and then merge the two pictures together. It needs to be perfect, because there might be an instance of a wood floor that needs to match up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble stitching photos together in CS4.I am stitching together photos from microscopic flourescence images. I am trying to get a single image of the entire specimen but every time I try photomerge it leaves one of the images in the corner. It does a great job of adding all of the other images together but every time it refuses to add the last image (it could be the first, the point is that it is an image on one of the ends).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just need to know a few things before trying to stitch some photos I took:1. Do the pictures need to be in JPEG or RAW?2. How many pictures, at most, can I stitch? I have tried about 6 photos in RAW as it came from the camera and I think it was to much.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to stitch together a sequence of wake boarding shots and put them into one picture. I have done it semi-successfully only once and would love to learn how to re-create this awesome effect every time. This is the one photo I did get to work... although i cant get any others to work.
I am pretty sure I didn't do this correctly but it was the only way I could figure out how. Here goes... I started by bringing in all the images into separate layers into cs3 I then selected all of them and chose Auto-Align. Once it got all of the frames onto the canvas I arranged them from left to right in to layers palette then chose the top image in to layers palette and chose create mask.
I then used the eraser tool and brought the next image through so that i could see it. Once I could see it I would move onto the second layer in the layer palette and create layer mask and do the same for all the layers.
Once done I would choose Auto-Blend and it usually leaves a few of the frames out of the picture. This is what the unsuccessful ones looked like
I have also tried not doing any of the clipping masks, by just bringing in the pictures and then going straight to AutoBlend after I did AutoAlign this is the result that yielded.
I am facing problems while 'stitching' the panoramic photos that i shot. basically, Photoshop's File>Automate>Photomerge and Edit>Auto Align/Blend Layers works good, but FAIL on the LENS DISTORTION.
i had tried to correct it with Filter>Lens Correction, but still not getting perfect result. see the attached image for the results, were you can see the building looks bent. check/download the source images from [URL]......
I have the paint shop pro x2 and I didn't realize before that when I converted my raw images over to jpeg it took the size down from 8MP to 1MP and my clients want wall photos. I need to know how to maintain the large file size.

How do I transfer my RAW photos to PSP 4x?
I've tried to import then directly from the camera but it doesn't seem to work.
I just purchced x3 about two months ago and when it starts up there are a bunch of pictures from my computer at the bottom. And I have to click on one of the pictures and then close the picture. I'd rather not have my photos automatically displayed at the bottom of the page at start up. Is there a way to open x3 without the pictures being displayed at the bottom of the screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm sure I'm trying to do something fairly basic here but the manual doesn't seem to work for me re canvas re-sizing (unless I'm missing something).
I want to take several images straight from the camera (say 3-4Mb each) and combine them to eventually make a single JPEG. Is this done by resizing canvas? Is it a case of taking one image and resizing the canvas or starting with a blank new canvas?
i can`t share photos on facebook.it was working ,now it is not working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a rather strange problem with PSP X14. I will describe my general workflow and where the problem occurs.
I do some editing to my photo and save it as a full size image. Next I resize it to a much smaller version for use online. I have no problems at all with these two steps. Next, I cancel the resized dimensions and resize it again to a file closer to the original size, after I sometimes sharpen it and add a canvas. Many of the thumbnails for this last step have horizontal color bars across the bottom of the thumbnail, ranging roughly from 1/16 to 1/3 of the image size. When I hit on it and open the file, the bar is not there. I tried opening this thumbnail in another photo editing program and when I have access to the thumbnails for opening, that bar is there on select images, and when I open the file, it's gone. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to try printing it yet.
I've been following this basic formula for preparing and editing photos for a very long time and haven't had this problem until recently. And it's random, as not all images have this problem. I tried changing this process and reopening the full size file that has been edited and resize that one, but am getting the same random results. I have no problems with the thumbnails for the full size and the first reduced size images.
I have been a long time user of PSP...since v.7 and upgrade versions regularly. I'm running Windows 7 premium, 64-bit on a laptop with an Intel i-7 processor.
In X2 all I had to do was go to file- either 'twain acquire' or -'from scanner' and my scanner software would open in X2 and i could directly import the scan.
In X3 all the acquire choices are grayed out unless I first choose, file- new, and then a dialogue box for size options opens.Once I have a new (empty) file on the editor screen I can then acquire . Is this a new change in X3 ?
I'm using Paint Shop Pro X2. Within the past 2 days a problem arises when I try to load more than one photo on the screen. I have multiple photos of the same thing and I want to compare them. When I switch to one of the other photos, all of a sudden I lose the top bar that contains the 3 icons to close, minimize or expand. My only alternative is to shut the program down and restart it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWell I have tried all the video tutorials and instructions found on the net but NOTHING works as yet.As far as the printed results from net searches go I get so far along and then the instructions cannot be followed because the item it says is on the menu is just not there on MY menu.
What I want to do is to take a portrait from one photo (Freehand Selection tool to select JUST the face?) and blend/merge it on the background photo. I want to be able to change the size and opacity of the face so that I get the EXACT result I want.
I cannot edit or adjust photos at this time. the program come up ok but when I click edit there is no picture there. It is the same on adjust. Not sure if I unclicked something or what.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have PaintShop Pro X3 and pretty much all the other programs. I scanned lots of photos (6*4) at a 300 dpi which works out at about 11 meg each photo (i think this was overkill!). However, when i created a slideshow these photos are shown as about one quarter sized. Is there any way i can correct this ? Should i for the future scan at a different dpi ? I want to view the images as a slideshow and am not interested in printing them.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have used PSP since version 7 but mostly for graphics. I have recently purchased a dslr camera and upgraded to PSP X4. I am slowly learning some of the photo editing features but would like imput on the best workflow for "fixing" digital photos. I am aware that all digital photos need some sharpening and some noise removal. My question is this -- should the sharpening and noise removal be after other adjustments (brightness, clarify etc.) or should those come first? I should mention that I have been shooting all pictures in RAW.
View 14 Replies View RelatedJust got Photo Pro x3 Ultimate and that works fine. The Photo Project Creator on the other hand seems to have a problem. I can run it and open a new project but I cannot browse to where my pictures are stored. Pictures are only available if I put them on my desktop. The browser shows me as a user and the hard drive but when I click on them nothing happens. I have tried deleting the files in the digital studio folder and completely reinstalling the program to no avail. It does not matter who I run the program as or if I run it in compatibility mode.

This would include white specks, black splotches, blurred edges, irregular black edges, etc. I have looked for ways in which to accomplish this and have not been successful at this.
Currently, I am using the following to varying degrees: Sepia Toning/Black and White, Blur, Salt and Pepper noise, and Vignette.

Just came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:
