Paint Shop Pro :: Using Smart Carver On Panoramas?

I have a new virtual tour 360 business and I want to "perfect" my panos. After I stitch the four pictures together, I'm left with the tripod showing on the bottom of the pano. I want to delete the tripod, but don't know the best way to do this. I have been trying to do this with smart carver, but it seems to take a long time and not having the success I would like. I thought it might be easier if I took a picture of where the tripod was, minus the tripod and then merge the two pictures together. It needs to be perfect, because there might be an instance of a wood floor that needs to match up.

I recently had to reinstall PSP X3 and since then when I use Smart Carver any transparent areas are lost - they appear as solid white.

I haven't used it since 6.0, but it isn't working for me now. I've noticed a myriad of problems/crashes since windows updated last night (not just corel products). I've got a simple 3000x4000 image I'm trying to grow. It locks up as soon as I change the height number.
Current System: i3 3.07ghz, 3gb ram, Windows 7 32 bit with all updates and X6

Upon selecting the Adjust workspace and moving the cursor over the image in the preview area the cursor changes to a dropper and a small box opens which contains 2 columns of data. The column headings are…
Current: Original:
Below them are the values of the R,G,B channels at the cursor position. Moving the cursor around the image in the preview area changes these values. Left or right clicking places a target on the image and changes the colour balance of the image. I presume it is selecting a new value for the White Balance. However, the data values remain identical in the Current: and Original: columns.
The dropper and box are only displayed when the Smart Photo Fix option is selected in the Adjust Palette.
So, how does one get the data values for Current: and Original: to display different values? What is the difference between left click and right click? What is the overall function of this feature?

I am trying to remove some wires in front of a complex background. (I tried a different spot for the photo, but didn't really work....so I was stuck with the wires.) Anyway, apart from just zooming way in and using the clone tool, do I have any options with smart cloning or healing? I searched the PSPX5 file for smart and heal etc., but didn't find anything.

Smart Photo Fix box was resizable, or barring that, if the box did not take up over 1/4 of my monitor!
This box obscures far too much of the image I am trying to correct! And it does not need to be this large based on its content!

I've used Corel Photo Album in the past and am familar with the tag/search feature. Here's my problem. I created two tags - test1 and test2. I tagged a photo with both test1 and test2. I created a Smart Collection as follows: Find photos that match ALL, TAG contains TEST1, TAG contains TEST2. when I click PREVIEW no photos are found. If I click on the individual tags Test1 or Test2 the photo is found. Am I missing something?
I tried removing and reinstalling Paintshop Pro X4 but I am getting the same result. I have ran this test in Corel Photo Album and it works fine.
I am running PSP X4 14.1.0.5 SP1
Vista Home Premium 64-bit SP2
Intel i7 CPU950 3.07ghz, 9.0 gb ram

When I use the Smart Photo Fix command, and check Advanced Settings I see the black & white correction options, BUT I do NOT see the before & after left & right preview panes that are necessary to let me choose black & white & grey points on my image.
There seems to be another post/thread on this topic BUT unfortunately I cannot open that post: when I try I see the message: No post matches the time frame selected even though I have set this to ALL POSTS.

Just came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:

I installed PSP X4 today on a new PC with Windows 7 and noticed that it has no Animation Shop. Can I install Animation Shop to this machine? Will it work without PSP 9 or does it need certain dlls from PSP 9 ? I really want to be able to use Animation Shop again.

I am trying to shoot a panorama (6 - 7 photos) and merge the photos using Photoshop. Photoshop is doing a nice job of merging the scenes. However, the shade of the sky on each photo is a little different (the buildings and other objects look fine, or at least differences aren't perceptible) thus, I have distinct lines between each photo in the sky (or water) areas. How can I correct this in Photoshop (I'm a casual PS user, and I have PS CS2) so that all the sky (and water) areas look the same?

My understanding is that Panoramas Stitching (=>PaSt) feature is available with PhotoShop Elements (PE). I am not familiar with the PE product. Is PE a stand alone product or does it require PS?
Is PaSt available with PS (with which minimum ver.)?
I read here in the forums that there are various capacity problems with PaSt.
In that regard, and any other aspect, if PaSt is available with PS, what are the main differences using PS or PE with PaSt feature?

When I make panoramas in Photoshop CS6 (after selecting and preparing individual images in LR4), I sometimes wish to modify Photoshop's automatic blending of layers. An example is when a moving person is in two or more adjacent frames & I wish to use a version from a different frame than PS selects. The layer masks are all either pure white or pure black, thus selecting the portions of each frame that is used, but with no gray portions for blending. Opacity of all layers is 100%. So, some other invisible-to-me mechanism is being used to seamlessly blend the layers. When I try to select portions of a different frame (in areas of overlap) by painting white on a mask and black on layer masks above it in the stack, I can partially make visible the desired area but it appears as partially transparent & thus low contrast. How can I get full control of what is included in the final composite?

Shooting 'wider' vertically when doing panoramas and using the stitching in Photoshop CS5?
i.e. : if I shoot frames in panoramic and then do a slight tilt up pass and a slight tilt down pass, when I auto align the layers in stitching, will Photoshop have any clue as to what I'm trying to do? Does it is good for the software if I make a much larger canvas first to allow for that space?

Would someone please explain why a panorama consisting of 27 images totaling 36MB becomes an 800+/-MB file necessitating it be saved as a ".psb," "Photoshop RAW" or .TIFF file?
I would like to open this file on computers that do not have Photoshop CS, CS2, CS3 loaded eliminating the .psb/Photoshop RAW and so far I have only been able to save the image as a corrupted .TIFF file, i.e. does not open properly.

I want to buy a text creator and it says that i need cs2 or higher.
They are psd files and i have installed the psd file reading plugin but i need to be able to edit these files using smart objects.
I haven't heard of this before so i emailed the author of the text creator and he explained that smart objects can be used to edit all the layers at once.

I want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?

Ok, either I am totally loosing it, or it just ain't happening.
I cannot get the Nik HDR module to work with my PSP X5
It's installed, it shows up in my Effects menu, but it only imports one of the photos I have opened in my edit tab.

Using PSPP X3 Ultimate.
I have some Tif files and jpeg files that are 600dpi and 400dpi. I scanned these images with my Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F scanner. Can i use my version of PSPP X3 Ultimate to change the dpi value? Is this stuck? I wanted to be able to get the 600 and 400 dpi image files (I have some 300dpi's too) down to the 100-250 range if I needed to. I see there are different export options and compression in PSPPX3Ultimate, but I'm not sure if this will do what I want.
I want to export as Tif and Jpeg again.
Are there any good third party photo and or video editors that I can batch edit this with? It's ok to mention pay programs and I'd prefer good quality freeware if there is such a thing. I am sure that my Corel program can do the trick though. I just don't know how and don't want to rescan multiple dpi's every single time. I only need the archives and then get the smaller dpi when needed.
