Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6 :: Moving Objects Up Or Down?
Nov 26, 2012I found that Photopaint X6.1 is very unstable when i'm trying to move objects down or up.
Bad news is that its happening after longer period of work like around hour or more, designs with hundred or more objects.
90% of "not responding" errors are caused by moving objects down or up.
With X6 64bit I learned to save files more often than in previous versions.

Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6 :: Align Without Using Objects Docker
Feb 18, 2013I have problems with Photopaint Align and distribute. Many times I want to fast select 2 objects and align them and dont want to search them in hundred object list on object docker.
The problem is how to align center white text in blue box? I dont want to move blue box just center text in it. And do not use objects docker to do it.

Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6 :: Combine All Objects Together In Group?
Dec 5, 2012combine all objects together in group (you are selecting group and then use combine objects together)
should make:
1. Group with one combined object.
2. One combined object with group name.
In my opinion after such operation as result should be one object not group.
Is it useful to have group after or you prefer object like me?

Corel PHOTO-PAINT X5 :: Cut Out Multiple Objects On A Page
Nov 20, 2011I have overlaid star shapes on a colored background, so that you can see the colors inside the star shapes as well as outside the lines of the star shape. the shapes are outlined in a black border. Is there a way I can delete the background (cut out multiple stars) on one sheet and have a white background with the colors still inside the stars?

Nov 28, 2012In my opinion removing window with paste parameters like size and dpi in X6 was bad decision.
Now I have to remember to make vector objects big enough to avoid pasting them too small in photopaint.
99% of photostock vector files are too small to copy/paste them without resizing.
As webdesigner I can tell that old version of "paste" had better functionality .

Mar 1, 2013If you have several objects grouped, and then you combine them all on a single object, the resulting object is placed inside the same group. This seems bogus, since is not possible to create a group of a single object.
Test case:Create 4 rectangles.Select them all and group them (ctrl+g)Select the group and combine all objects (ctrl+alt+dnarrow)
What I expect:A single object floating on the canvas
What I get:The same group but with a single object inside.

Not just change the color but change the color AND make it keep it's original shading, etc. I have some family photos we had made recently and they used a beige color draping for the background. The ones we had made before had a black draping. I was wondering how I could go about using some sort of additive coloring to transform the varying shades of beige to the same varying shades of black.
I have already used the masking tool to separate the background from the rest of the photo.

Jan 4, 2012Is there an easy way to do color tints on a photo in PhotoPAINT? And by that I don't mean just correcting the tint, I mean converting a regular photo into one that has a single color tint (e.g., yellow, red, etc.). I've tried graying it out and then adding a transparent color layer over it, but I'm not getting the result I'm looking for.
Also, while I'm at it, are there any (current) books out that cover PhotoPAINT in depth? I know that the official DRAW book has a section on it, but it's pretty basic.

May 12, 2013I would like to use a photo frame from connect, and keep it in the Effects>Creative>Frame menu of frames. I have downloaded and clicked and dragged the frame to my image, but I would like to reuse this frame. Is it possible to add it to the menu? I can download it to the menu - but it is a temporary item in the list of views to the right, which can be replaced from any of the permanent members of the dropdown selection of frames on the left of the Frame menu. I would like a frame to become one of those "permanent frames."

May 16, 2011I am making a background image for a website in Draw. The main part is Black.
I export as a jpg and the image looks fine when I view it.
Then if I open it in photo-paint the black is not black, but rather has a grey color to it. The image is exported fine and looks great when viewing it with the normal windows photo viewer program.
Something is happening when it is opened up in photo paint I think.

Jun 23, 2011I recently had a computer virus. The hard drive was scrubbed, and we had to reinstall all our programs.
Now, on my CorelDraw X3 graphics suite, the photo paint program is only partially functional. The clone and paint tools do not work anymore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times, rebooted the computer, but no progress. We have Windows XP, the same as before.

Mar 25, 2013I'm having trouble using the paint brushes in photo paint x6. i open a JPEG or bitmap then use a paint brush to paint on the image but there is no paint. do i have to use a mask now? I tried copying a dupe for a second layer to see if that worked but nix. i still have x4 and i do it there. but what's with x6? all the other tools work but the paint brush.

Dec 4, 2011I want to buy a text creator and it says that i need cs2 or higher.
They are psd files and i have installed the psd file reading plugin but i need to be able to edit these files using smart objects.
I haven't heard of this before so i emailed the author of the text creator and he explained that smart objects can be used to edit all the layers at once.
