combine all objects together in group (you are selecting group and then use combine objects together)
should make:
1. Group with one combined object.
2. One combined object with group name.
In my opinion after such operation as result should be one object not group.
Is it useful to have group after or you prefer object like me?

I found that Photopaint X6.1 is very unstable when i'm trying to move objects down or up.
Bad news is that its happening after longer period of work like around hour or more, designs with hundred or more objects.
90% of "not responding" errors are caused by moving objects down or up.
With X6 64bit I learned to save files more often than in previous versions.

I have overlaid star shapes on a colored background, so that you can see the colors inside the star shapes as well as outside the lines of the star shape. the shapes are outlined in a black border. Is there a way I can delete the background (cut out multiple stars) on one sheet and have a white background with the colors still inside the stars?

In my opinion removing window with paste parameters like size and dpi in X6 was bad decision.
Now I have to remember to make vector objects big enough to avoid pasting them too small in photopaint.
99% of photostock vector files are too small to copy/paste them without resizing.
As webdesigner I can tell that old version of "paste" had better functionality .

If you have several objects grouped, and then you combine them all on a single object, the resulting object is placed inside the same group. This seems bogus, since is not possible to create a group of a single object.
Test case:Create 4 rectangles.Select them all and group them (ctrl+g)Select the group and combine all objects (ctrl+alt+dnarrow)
What I expect:A single object floating on the canvas
What I get:The same group but with a single object inside.

usually if i want to align shapes side-by-side so that they have no gap between them, or 0px, i do it by cloning the shape and moving it along the direction its going and then zooming in on the gap. this is a 'by-eye', i'm sure theres a more definitive way to do it.
for example, if i am joining two square shapes together, to make a rectangle, how can i make sure the join is seamless and perfect?

I am in need of an efficient method of changing an object within a photo to a standard colour without losing the shading and highlights. I am aware of the lasso selection tool but I have to do this process on potentially thousands of photos so need (in my perfect world) either an automated process or ( in a less perfect world) a process that takes only seconds per photo.

i have some problems combining multiple meshes in one rigid body simulation. What i want to achieve is a button containing a metalplate, a plastic body and a needle 200x multiplied and each of them should be treated as a single massfx object. This bunch should simply fall on a plane ending with accurate, physically correkt positions. My way was using all parts with a physical mesh constrained (RB constraint) to each other part as childs. This works well with one whole button, but copying shows some strange beahviour of the constraints - and doing 200 pieces manually is not the way i want ;-)

I'm creating a roof in Max, I have made a shingle and applied the array tool to cover the area, now I want to apply a boolean on the entire roof to make a hole on it, however, I think It's necessary to join all the shingles into a single poly in order to allow the boolean operation. They are in a group at the moment and how to join the shingles other than converting them all to poly, making a selectable list and attaching the list to a shingle.

When I resize an object (for example, I want to extend a horizontal line by 20%, using the % boxes in the property bar), the resizing action is executed from the center of the object itself (so, 10% to the left and 10% to the right in my example).
If that object is snapped to other objects, resizing from the center automatically unsnaps them and so snapping must be done again.
Is there a quick way (such as double clicking a node, or so) to resize an object not from its center, but from a side or a vertex of it?

Just installed the new CS6. I'm experimenting with Illustrator. I feel a little dumb asking this, but ALL of my newly drawn paths, brush strokes, objects etc. keep automatically shifting to the bottom of the layer instead of like usual, appearing at the top. Is there a way to turn this off? Revert back to normal?

I am having an odd problem in AutoCAD 2014. I have 3D solids and when I cut a section through the building various objects in the 2D section are placed very far (like over 100,000 meters) to the left or the right of the main section. I have exploded all blocks down to their base components (all 3D solids).

I am trying to change the background of a photo. Not just change the color but change the color AND make it keep it's original shading, etc. I have some family photos we had made recently and they used a beige color draping for the background. The ones we had made before had a black draping. I was wondering how I could go about using some sort of additive coloring to transform the varying shades of beige to the same varying shades of black.
I have already used the masking tool to separate the background from the rest of the photo.

In the old versions of TDX4 and TDX5 (?) it was possible to have the dimensions within the object group in which the measured object was part. In TDX5 SP1 it seems impossible to move dimensions into any group. They remain a list apart within the layer in which the measured objects are part.
Is this correct and is this an intentional "correction"? If so, I strongly propose to make it possible again to keep the dimensions together with the measured object in whatever group that measured object is in. When you have hundreds of objects within a layer, it really is a unmanageable nuisance that the dimensions are all at the top level of a layer.
I found another (related?) problem when applying dimensions on groups of objects. As soon as you have attached a dimension to one or more objects in a group (the dimension itself being outside the group at the top level of a layer), you can only select the group as a whole at the top level. You cannot select objects within the group. Also this problem was not in X4. I don't know whether this problem is typically X5 SP1, as I did not test it in the original X5. Also this is a real nuisance wasting a lot of time, because you have to delete all dimensions when you want to change something in a group.
This all I have also reported directly to Corel. I found a work around to both problems:
1. Ungroup the group and any subgroups.
2. Apply the dimension lines
3. Regroup again also including the dimension lines
Now you can access the dimension lines and all separate objects in the group.

Is there an easy way to do color tints on a photo in PhotoPAINT? And by that I don't mean just correcting the tint, I mean converting a regular photo into one that has a single color tint (e.g., yellow, red, etc.). I've tried graying it out and then adding a transparent color layer over it, but I'm not getting the result I'm looking for.
Also, while I'm at it, are there any (current) books out that cover PhotoPAINT in depth? I know that the official DRAW book has a section on it, but it's pretty basic.
