View 9 RepliesFor my project I created a chat window where the spoken text and questions are written down.
The window is limited to 3 lines, and each character and line is written itself, using the opacity text animation and its offset value. (like typewriting) how can I drop the first line when a new one starts and push the remaining 2 lines up? The only solution that i thought about is moving the whole textlayer in a mask upwards, but i think there is a much easier solution around.
I have a project in wich rooms functionality is compromised. I don't know why the room tool doesn't recognise a simple room delimited by walls whose property divides rooms is set to yes. If I place a rectangle of rooms delimiters the room tool works properly instead. If I start a new project the tool works properly.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am editing an old file set up by another firm that is used by our clients to keep track of room sizes etc, which has a room data table and room tags tied to area polylines. It has worked just fine on our 2013 Acad Architecture, but when I sent them (saved down to 2010) back to our client, using 2012 Acad Architecture, the tags disappear and the table is unpopulated.It seems like it must have something to do with the file originally being created way back when, along with some quirk between 2012 and 2013.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am doing a Marketing Course at Uni and part of my assignment is to design a shop how we would like it set up. I have drawn 2 pictures (with Pencil and Paper!) looking down on the shop from a slight angle.
Since doing this, our lecturer has told us that if we wish, we can use some software to also draw them, as long as we also hand in the hand drawn pics. As most of us don't know how to use Photoshop, we've been told that we can get someone to do it for us and we just have to make a note on our assignment of who drew them and what software was used.
Isn't there a way to make a selection of a piece of the bottom (or top), flip it and then paste a few times to make it seem as though the photo has more space (and is seamless-no line showing that the new space is a copy of a selected area from a different part of the photo) on the bottom?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to place a picture/wallpaper on one of our wall in our bedroom, about 174 inches (14.5 feet) wide by 94 inches (7.8 feet) tall using one of my pictures taken with a 3 megapixel camera. Using the max setting of the camera, I took a picture of river. I'm thinking of using this picture as a wallpaper for that wall.
The only software I have on my pc is Photoshop 7.
I have installed Lightroom 1.4 and some reason it was not installed properly.
So, I tried o uninstall, it would not work.
I went to control panel and program uninstall ... it would not work.
I tried to reinstall and I get the message "Error 1714 The ollder version of Lightroom cannnot be removed. COntact your technical group.
Converting a RAF Raw from Fujis X-E1 or X-Pro1 cameras will result in a harsh blurry JPG. The inCamera-Raw-Conversation or the RAW-Converting from Fujis delivered software results are much much better.
I know, even with Canons or Nikons LR4 does sometimes a better or a worse job than the dedicated converters, but with the new Fujifilm Cameras it is unusable.
Adobe may know the problem, because well known camera reviewer like dpreview stated there point on this topic already in their reviews. Also Fujifilm itself told me they reported the issues to Adobe.
My question here is, what is the current status? The new 7.3 or rather LR 4.3 do not give any improvements on this problem. Which is very disappointing, especially for early X-Pro1 owners.
I created a custom calibration in dng profile editor. I saved in both the global library and user don't see it showing up in light room calibration drop down only the built in stuff'

I want to open the images either in Photoshop CS6 or in Light Room 4 or in Bridge. How to open the images in jpg. or in RAW.
I shot an interior. How do I get the lines of a room straight? I used the straighten tool in the cropping area but one side get straight and the other is off.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI operate on a Windows 7 platform and use LR 5. All my photos and LR file are kept on an external HDD with 1TB of space of which 600GB is available. However, I get the following error:
Disk Space is Low
Your disk "(J:)", which contains your Lightroom catalog, is critically low on space.
Please remove file or empty the trash to make at least 20 MB available.
Is there a setting that can be set or changed or how to I get the message to stop popping up?
I'm trying to extend the edges of a number of images to give myself extra bleed room for print. The images have bits that are a little too near the edge and I need more room. The effect I'm looking for is repeating the final edge row of pixels for 1/8 of an inch beyond the original image on all side.
The obvious solution, manually repeating the row of pixels is too time consuming for the number of images I need to format.
The solution would have been simple if the imbeciles at adobe hadn't moved the "extend edges" option to the Oh-So-Useful auto lens correction tab in the lens correction filter. (how I HATE thee, Adobe)... Alas, I'm using CS5 and need an alternative solution.
I want get the rooms dimenstions, for calculating the width of the corridors.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Revit Architecture 2012 and I am trying to create a Room Tag. I have attached the file below. I want the tag to read the room name and the room dimensions. Then I would like an option to turn "Unfinished" on and off. I can get this to work as long as it is a type parameter. When I load it into the project it works well and everything is there. But if I change it to an instance parameter (which is what I want) then when I load it into the project the option to turn the "Unfinished" on and off has disappeared.

i have already tried with fov and camera lence settings, but that didn't work. Attaching both real photo of the lobby and my handy work in max.
My leader for my room tag is waaayy far away from my tag. The leader/border offset is set to 0, but that doesn't resolve the issue. (the leader and tag are in blue on the png)

View 9 Replies View RelatedAn architect sent me his revit file, it contains the full model and all the floor plan views and drawing sheets. He has floor plan views set up for each floor and some enlarged views as well. On each floor plan view each room has a tag that contains room name and room number and every door has a tag that contains the door number.
When I create a new file and link in his file so I can then start working, doing what we need to do, adding devices, etc. The problem is, the architect's room tags and door tags dont link in, and if they do I cant see them. I've gone through every possible combination in the visibility/graphics options to no avail.
Room and door info linking in should be a basic function of revit; how could autodesk expect mech, elec, plumbing engineers to create drawings that have zero room and door info?
If it matters, I'm working in Revit 2010.
I have been dealing with a tolerance issue when trying to create room area calculations in Revit. There seems to be a tolerance that is set to somewhere under 9" if two walls are to close together it will ignore the area.
Although if you are using the area calculation this tolerance is set much finer. and it seems to work just fine. I have already tried to create a multicategory schedule but cant combine rooms and areas. I have attached an image .
I am trying to add a normal, regular, editable text box to a Room Tag. Our office is involved in a competition and we want to show the Room Name and Area (which I understand how to do and have done that) and also the required square footage that was given to us in the competition project description. Here is an example:

View 7 Replies View Relatedi've been asked to provide a way for some cad employees to update via an export to an excel spreadsheet the latest area total for each room in the drawing. my assumption is the spreadsheet will already contain a column for room numbers from the drawing and a room area column.
so far i've found out how to iterate the drawing layers. what i have yet to figure out is how to capture the room area property on the layer so i can copy it into the excel cell that matches with the captured room number from the drawing. is there a way to access the geometry of the particular layer?
