Photoshop :: CS5 Crash / Won't Start On XP Computer
Nov 24, 2010
I have installed Photoshop CS5 on a coupel of comupters(XP) and I get following error when I start it. The user are useing mandatory porfiles NTUSER.MAN.
Â
 AppName:photoshop.exe    AppVer: 12.0.1.0 ModName:scriptingsupport.8li
ModVer:10.0.0.0Â Â Â Â Offset:000d183a
i moved some files around in my "Documents" folder in win 8 , the next day when I restarted my laptop I got two errors about AAM Updates, so I looked into the folders that I moved around & see that a folder labeled "Adobe" that was usually in my documents folder was in the new folder where is was moving things to, so I moved it back to my documents folder.
I tried to open Photoshop & it didn't open, didn't even come up with a error, so I assume that I should check my running processes to see if maybe it is just hanging but it wasn't even running so I figure next things to dod is check my event log to see what kind of error it is leaving there. So I am left to think that I messed something up by accidentally moving that "Adobe" folder, I was wondering two things...Is there another folder that is placed in windows "Documents" folder besides the adobe folder that I may have not noticed that got moved, can someone verify what folders get placed in "Documents" folder upon installing Photoshop & other Adobe apps & second can I just repair my Photoshop install instead of uninstalling & reinstalling? Â Also it my event viewer error log it is saying something about MSVCR100.dll...maybe that is what is crashing.
Windows XP on an HP Pavilion. Had to use Restore. PS 7 still on computer but cannot open program. Get a message "could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information."
I have a DELL XPS 1330. The computer stopped working while I was visiting another country. The support people there had me reinstall VISTA on my computer thus ALL my programs were taken away.
Well, turns out that was not the problem. 2 weeks later the same problem happened. The laptop is not repaired and I want to reinstall my CS3 Extended version. Can I just insert the disc and reinstall it to my computer?
I am pretty computer illiterate on some things but can follow directions when they are given. I have not installed the program on any other computer b/c I thought it was registered to me on my laptop and did not want to mess that up for when mine was finally repaired.
I downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS6 (Trial) and installed it. When I wanted to start it, it crashed immediately. Is my computer not good enough for Adobe Photoshop CS6? Because CS5 works fine on my PC...Here are some information about my PC

Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 won't start on my computer I use windows XP.Whenever I try to open the Photoshop I get a message "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."and at the bottom of the message "to see what data this error report contains, click here.so I clicked, and that is what I got:
Error signature: AppName: photoshop.exe AppVer: 12.1.0.0 ModName: scriptingsupport.8liModVer: 10.0.0.0 Offset: 000d1a2eI tried removing the program and re-installing, the same thing happened.
This happened 3-4 times when I was using the trial version and I wasn't sure which program from the trials that was doing it, but it started after I downloaded and used the Adobe Clound trials so I stopped using them. Eventually I went ahead and upgraded to the subcription and have been using Illustrator and Muse for a few days now and have not had a problem until today. I had Photoshop open and minimized, as well as Illustrator, and walked away from my desk. When I returned, the screen was blue with the Windows "shut down to prevent further damage" screen. I have a photo of the message. I realized that I had been using Photoshop the last few times this happened also. It never happened before I tried this software and stopped when I stopped using the trial.
Doing a photo merge of 6 different pictures, I have a systemic blue screen crash using Photoshop CS6 extended. There is a win32k.sys error message (page fault in non paged area). Â I tried my photo merge 5 times (once with only 2 pictures) and it always crashed. I have 32 Gb RAM and a i7 3960-X CPU + a GeForce 690 GPU.
I had installed Corel Videostudio pro X5 on my laptop which has 64 bit WIN 8 and was working fine . Dues to system error which had nothing to do with the VS X5 , I had to reinstall Videostudio X5. Now it is crashing upon restart with some error that has to do with Changing the Environment (this error stays on for lass than one s second and closes itself so I cannot read complete error message)
I recently had to repair my Windows Home 7 Premium. Since the repair, a number of programs would not start...this System Error dialog appears: Â The program can't start because .DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem. Â The programs were Lightroom 4.1, Acronis True Imeage 2012, AVG Antivirus and Vegas Movie Studio 10. Photoshop Elements 9 was unaffected. Â I uninstalled and reinstalled all affected programs. TrueImage, Antivirus and Vegas started working again with no issues. Lightroom 4 kept showing the same error (even though the reinstall is always successful). I tried installing 4.0, 4.1 and 4.3, all of them have the same problem.
As soon as I start up AutoCAD 2013 or 2012 64-bit, it loads all the way through and I get an error message:
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 0h
I have uninstalled and  reinstalled AutoCAD multiple times, followed the clean install instructions.
I have run as administrator, run in compatability for XP and 7, run with the onboard graphics, run with my nVidia card, and have had no results. Boot in Safe Mode, no changes. Disabled my Antivirus when installing, and when running, no difference. Installed SP1, no difference.
I have CS5 installed on a desktop computer that crashed and I can't get it working to deactivate CS5. I am going to purchase a new desktop and would like to install CS5 on the new computer, but it was already installed on two computers (desktop and laptop) so no activations are left. I have the Disk and serial number.
I can't seem to get my profile start and end station labels to appear even after I checked "Label start station" and "label end station" in the profile view properties.
4. chckdsk for error and fix.still error so I've gone through this.
5. I uninstall Autocad 2014 completely, uninstall it manually one by one, deleted left over folder of autodesk or similar software to it, deleted its registry keys.just like the instruction on how to remove autocad completely in autodesk, I just followed it all. [after Reboot]
I want to start AutoCAD LT without the empty drawing. Just AutoCAD and the welcome screen. How can i do that? I always close the first drawing and begin a new one by choosing out of several templates or start with an existing drawing, rename and modify it. For NEW or OPEN i like to use the welcome screen.
I started a new computer with LR5, and it runs fine. But, when I imported my pics from a previous computer running LR4, all the pics loaded into the new LR without any tags or processing. How can I get that info without having ot reprocess thousands of pictures?
I just installed 3DS Max 2012 with a student license, but I encountered a problem that doesn't seem to go away. Whenever I open it, it gets to the "Starting 3DS Max 2012" screen and then freezes. The process freezes as well. Is there a way I can fix this? I have Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-Bit, and a Dual-Core Processor. My computer meets all the System Requirements except an insufficient video card.
I have a VB .NET Dll that add a new ribbon in AUTOCAD.When I load this dll from AUTOCAD, this new ribbon is well added.I'm trying to start this dll with AUTOCAD Start.
I've tried to load the DLL from the acad.lsp but the DLL is loaded before AUTOCAD load the ribbon, then the dll is well loaded but my new ribbon is not displayed !.

Has anyone been able to figure out why PS3 crashes? I can not open it, it says Photoshop CS3 has stopped working. I have removed and reloaded the program and it still will not open. Can't keep production up with this,
If the file size is larger than 15MB it crashes before it opens the file.I fixed this the first time by reinstalling my OS.I fixed this the second time by moving my files from their folder to the desktop then opened it from there.I can't seam to fix this for the third time and I'm soooo frustrated. It works until it crashes then it never works again. So for instance, it worked everyday for a month, then I stopped using it for a week and came back and now it keeps crashing on files over 15MB.Here's my computer set up:Win XP SP3 ProAMD Athlong 62 x2 DualCore Processor 4200+2.20GHz, 2GB of RAM1GB NVidia GeForce 9400 GT Photoshop Error Signature:AppName: photoshop.exeAppVer: 10.0.1.0ModName: bib.dllModVer: 1.2.1.1Offset: 0000c632
Am a loyal Adobe customer. Have had PS since 1997 starting with PS 4.0. Upgraded very year up to PS CS. Then my wife became ill with breast cancer (died in 2008 from it), lost my job, lost our family home to for closure in 2010, my 20 year old son diagnosed with luekemia in 2011 (still fighting on chemo) yada yada yada.  Bottom line, I cannot afford to upgrade my Acrobat Pro, my Photoshop, my Premier etc etc etc.We sometimes don't have enough money to eat.  So my pc crashed the the other week. I just finished rebuilding using a new hard drive, Photoshp CS in installed again, and running perfectly. BUT I keep getting a need to activate alert. And can't do it.
I consistently get this crash 3-5 times a day, if not more. Happens when dragging over images from Windows Explorer and dropping into a PSD. Or if I select color picker. And random other misc. tasks that seem to trigger a crash. It's to the point where I sometimes might have 3-5 recovered PSD files. Â Windows 64, E5630, 8GB ram GPU: Quadro K2000
I use CS2; Photoshop quits unexpectedly about one minute after launch. Why? Here is the crash report: Â Process:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Adobe Photoshop CS2 [560] Path:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS2/Adobe Photoshop CS2.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop CS2 Identifier:Â Â Â Â Â com.adobe.Photoshop Version:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 9.0.1 (9.0.1x294) (9.0.1) Code Type:Â Â Â Â Â Â PPC (Translated) Parent Process:Â launchd [108] [code]....
Recently downloaded CC incl. PS, LR, BR. They all work fine except PS. As soon as I launch it it crashes. Happens in less thana second. What's going on here? Can I re-download PS?
Know it's old, but have been using Photoshop CS 8.0 on office Mac Pro and home iMac for years with no problems. OSX is 10.5.8 Leopard. Still works fine on Mac Pro, but has just started crashing at startup on iMac for no apparent reason. Graphic layout comes up and then shuts down. Reinstalled the application with same result.
