View 6 RepliesI switched from Photoshop Elements 7 to Photoshop Elements 10. I cannot get a print of a photo that matches the screen. Photos are dark and red. I cannot edit the photos because I do not know what will print out. I have switched back to Photoshop 7 and my photos print fine, just as they have been edited.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy friend has taken some engagement photographs and unfortunately the couple have dark hair and the background is also dark - I think you can see her problem with the photos. Somehow the background needs to be lightened and neither of us know how (we both have Photoshop 7)

When I mouseover the text becomes a readable grey but it makes actions much more difficult as I have to mouse over every single option.
Are there any solutions to this bug?I have uninstalled/reinstalled, updated ATI drivers, contacted support, etc and have found no solution.I am using purchased Photoshop CS3 & I am running Win 7 x64 w /i5-3570k w/ ATI Sapphire 7950 Here are some screenshots of what happens:

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
I am having this issue with the new PS CC. It happens whenever I try to add/edit a text. Pick the text tool, click onto the work and -- bang! -- the whole work screen gets blank. Depending on the project size it may get stable at a certain ammount of zoom and keep blinking (or go completely blank) at other zoom factors. If I finish text editing the screen gets back to normal. Funny is that if I type something, it will be there, so the problem seems to be with the viewport.
PS: Currently I am going to download and install back the CS6 version as the issue reported above does not happen with it.
I can't get text in Photoshop CS to look right. It usually looks good on screen unless I zoom in. Since I think these are vectors I would think it would always look good no matter what the zoom level. I am trying to print my company name in Times NR 24 point. My printer driver is postscript. Part of my company name is LANTEC so I did a quick test and tried to print that one word in TNR 24 point and it looks terrible. Zooming in on the text also looks terrible (by the way I have it set to sharp and I have also tried smooth). This is driving me crazy. I have also looked at the print driver which is set to print graphics in 600 X 600 dpi.
I did a quick search and only found one document that is close to this problem. It said something about 200 dpi and 72 dpi. What settings are these reffering too?
Here is a video i took of the problem

How can I get it to stop. It is almost impossible to use the text tool. I am using Photoshop cs6 on window's 8.
Every time I click on an option in Photoshop CC, the menu button freezes on-screen. I will attach some images to better illustrate the problem. This is my screen after opening and closing a file. The respective part of the menu stays frozen on screen:
After clicking on a plugin button under the "Filter" menu:
It happens every time on any button. The only way to clear the screen -ahem, the only way that I know of- is through the screen resolution panel. I just have to switch to a different resolution back and forth and it works. The thing is, this bug will come back as soon as I use the menu, which is, well, very often since I rely heavily on some plugins or actions with no shortcuts.
I have Windows 7 64 bit, an ATI Radeon HD 6500M video card and a Wacom Bamboo Tablet.
How can I create text that seems to be approaching the screen from a far off distance, much like the opening scene in History of the World pt. 1 or the Incredible Hulk font.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe know that vector shapes, paths, text etc are independant of resolution and can be printed while maintaining the vector lines. So why when we zoom in do we see jagged pixels? Is it just a screen viewing thing??

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with photo Shop CC: When I try to write a text on top of a photo the screen goes black and flickers?
I uninstalled the progran earlier on today and downloaded it again but the problem is still there.
How can I calculate the size that text in Adobe Elements 6 will display on my monitor? I have set this visually so that it is approximately 0.2" on an image height of 6.6".
My OS is Windows7 Professional and my screen resolution is 1280x1024 pixels.I have cropped the image to 7x5 and resized it to 5290x3770 pixels (w,h). I have set the resolution to 571 pixels per inch. Placing the text at 17.3 pt gave me the 0.2" height I wanted on the 'Fit Screen' zoom.
The Display Option shown in the Control Panel is 'smaller' which I understand means approximately 96 dpi. I have read that points to pixels is calculated by: Pixels = Points * System DPI/72 giving 1.33 points per pixel. Thus the 17.3 pt text should be about 13 pixels high.
Thirteen pixels is 0.34% of the 3770 pixel high display which implies a text height of about 0.02" on the 6.6" high displayed image. Instead I am seeing a text height of about 0.2" (as required).
The Photoshop CS6 (13.0.4) selection, text, and shape tool causes colored artifacts on screen. I'm running on a retina Macbook Pro updated to the latest ML release. I have disabled GPU acceleration. I have also tried starting Photoshop with no plugins but this does not work.
I have created a video which shows the phenomena

i have a simple block of text on a PS doc that is supposed to be black (i've checked many times and it's color =000000) but it looks gray on screen and prints gray. i checked opacity. it's 100%. i tried opening a new PS doc to see if somehow the doc itself was messed up, but i have the same problem in a brand new doc. make sure it wasn't a printer issue, i printed some text in MS Word and it got black just fine.
View 18 Replies View RelatedHow do I make sure my text is centralized? Are there any ways of aligning text? How to make sure that putting text repeatedly (titles, names) the text will be put in the same place?
The obvious solution would be copying but then if the text is shorter or longer it's not centralized anymore so need to make sure it is.
I'm trying to create a text animation to come in from right to left and then pause, but because it does not fill the whole width of the screen it only starts from the centre of the screen. How can I get it to enter from the edge ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSeems like the greatest number of text chapters one can have on a DVD menu screen is 8. On the other hand, there is one thumbnail template that permits 9 (although the layout option under customize still only permits no more than 8 in one screen).
Are these real limits? I would have liked to have had 9 text chapter links on one screen but can't see anyway to get it. All in all I'd like to have an option where one builds a menu from scratch (background, buttons, etc), with a drop down list of chapter points so one can link them with text or thumbnails (a la Pinnacle).
Noticed the 2013 text screen? Noticed how it's not showing its scroll-bar(s) ... well that's only 50% true. The vertical is only hidden - move the mouse over it and it appears.
But what happens if you want to read something which is too long for a line? Say you've listed the DXF codes of something by using the lisp entget function?
Previously if the line was too long it would get wrapped (wrapped to short yes, but at least readable). Now that line does not wrap in the text screen, but there's also no horizontal scroll bar so you can "pan" right to see the rest of the line. The only place I can see that is in the command palette.
I am trying to write some text onto the screen, and it is invisible. No matter what colour I have the text and/or background, it comes up invisible.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get text to scroll across the screen full height coming from the right to left, scroll across the screen at certain times of the video. I saw some animation presets there for text but not what I'm looking for. What I'm trying to do: along with a song, every time the name of the song comes up in the chorus, I'd like to scroll those words across the full height of the video as an overlay. And if it was just a graphic instead of text going across, what would I use to achieve that?

Lets say i give command L. It nicely shows up in command field, i press enter, now i have command LINE. It asks for first point. I give 0,0,0. Problem is that suddenly that 0,0,0 shows in screen next to cursor instead of command line.
I want to give all commands and related to the command line. How can i change this back as i cannot find correct tab?
The problem I`m having is that I have some text I want to have printed out. When viewing the image on GIMP the text image is the proper size that I want. When I print it out on my epson printer the text is much smaller. I called Epson and they said it must be a setting in GIMP. how to correct this? The file is a .png file.

Q1) It doesn't affect the text visible on monitor? Does it? I was expecting to see the result in Print Preview or Print to PDF before plotting to paper but I couldn't. Does it mean there is something wrong or still it will be OK if I plot to paper?
Q2) It is only for TrueType fonts so it doesn't affect other fonts (what other fonts could be? because all fonts in my ACAD are TT)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am new to Corel PaintShop Pro X4, and am attempting to enter text into a template I found online. I was successful in entering the text, and when I try to print, the print preview shows a template full of text. However, when the page prints, only some of the text is there! The text that prints doesn't even seem to correspond with the layers. I tried to save the file as another type of image to print it (all text shows then with no problem), but it is not a very sharp image. I have searched the manual, but am not finding an answer. This is time sensitive
