View 3 Replies View RelatedWaiting for Windows 8, I recently bought a new HP Touch smart 520PC. While touch screen works perfectly with Windows 7, and the pen correctly writes on the screen in simple programs like Paint, when I try to draw with the brush (or with any other tool) instead of the brush it appears the small hand usually used to move the screen.
There is any setup I must apply to solve this problem, or actually Photoshop CS6 doesn't plan to support the direct drawing on the screen? In this case I wonder, because I suppose that - when touch capabilities of Windows 8 will be available - many PC and notebooks will use the touch screen technology.
Buying the HP Touch smart I would expect to use Photoshop as on a giant I pad, but for the moment I'm still obliged to use a Wacom tablet!
I am new to Corel PaintShop Pro X4, and am attempting to enter text into a template I found online. I was successful in entering the text, and when I try to print, the print preview shows a template full of text. However, when the page prints, only some of the text is there! The text that prints doesn't even seem to correspond with the layers. I tried to save the file as another type of image to print it (all text shows then with no problem), but it is not a very sharp image. I have searched the manual, but am not finding an answer. This is time sensitive

I'm having this strange issue with the Photoshop type tool in Photoshop CS5. It might be, although I'm not sure, a bug. The tool itself is working and lets me add text and edit. But the box that shows up when editing text (and the blinking line that shows where I am in the text) - has gone invisible. I am having this issue in only one document. - I tested the type tool on other documents, and everything was normal. I've looked up shotcuts and hotkeys to check if I've tapped a key or something, but it doesn't appear to be so.
Now about the document; it does have quite the amount of text layers, and a lot of text in them. I've tried resetting the type tool, and I've restarted the program.
When I restart the program, the tool works as it's supposed to - but after editing or adding a new text layer, the editing area is gone again! Is this a bug, or have I touched keys that do odd things?
I have a vacation picture that is on a beach. I want to make it look like there are some words or designs drawn into the beach.
How can I do that? I don't work in Photo Paint to much. I do most of my work in Draw since I deal with vector images 90% of the time.
I work with .dds texture files a lot in modding the games Oblivion and Skyrim, and whenever someone else releases a mod that I like, I usually change it to my preferences (solely for personal use, of course). This occasionally means editing their textures, but some people have a way of making the texture "invisible" (as in totally transparent), yet still readable by the game as well as some plugins like Emboss. This makes it impossible for me to do anything with the file, and as a result some become completely unusable. what this "invisibility" is caused by, and a way to reverse it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my background on the screen; click text tool, specify font, size, color - then i click on my background expecting the text-writing box to appear, but instead a mini-copy of the text tool options box appears, of no use or function. How can i get the text-writing box to work?
PS An empty box appears on the background, supposedly to write in, but it doesn't work. I type and nothing happens. And, there is a huge cursor bar (?) that extends down the screen.
i'm having some problem when I preview my drawings for printing. When i'm zooming in the drawings in the paper space, the text and dimension text become invisible but when i zoom it out again, that the drawings become a bit smaller, i can see the text. by the way i'm using Vista as my OS.

Now when i save the png it automatically makes the background white, i go through and erase all the white but it is regenerated when i save the png again. i dont think i changed any settings, what do i do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAny way to use text and write in gimp without the text options popping up when you are writing.
I am asking because I would like to record a video using gimp and will be typing certain things and I really don't want the text options there while I'm typing.
I have a frustrating problem in CS3 that when writing a block of text, either with text tool or area text tool, that the cursor disappears. I need to see its new position after using the space bar or tab: ready to input the next piece of text.
It seems to be flashing some of the time if I click into the middle of the text block, but disappears where I want to continue it at the bottom of the text block?
To reduce file size when working with 100+ layers, can I delete multiple invisible layers before saving?
If not, is there a plug-in for this procedure? For a multi-page tutorial with over 100 layers, pdn is slow when opening or saving the file. I would like to save each page of the tutorial as a separate .pdn file for faster loading/editing/saving. Unfortunately, to save each individual page, I must delete many layers one-at-a-time which is very time consuming.
I need to delete all invisible layers before saving, to save each page separately and keep the original multi-page intact for backup until all individual pages are saved.

How many layers can PDN handle?
I would like to make a transparent icon.
That is, it should look like nothing is there, and it should be a bmp file.
Write the elevation text in a cad file from attached text file.
In this text file Easting Northing and Elevations are given. We have hundreds of that text files.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using PSP X4 for over a year with OpenType fonts. Suddenly this morning, all OTF have quit working in PSP, but TrueType fonts work just fine. I can choose an OTF from the font name window and see the first 6 character preview. However, when I type, there is nothing visible with the OTF. The cursor moves, but nothing shows. After I have typed with the invisible OTF, the text box exists in the appropriate size for what I have typed, but you can't see anything -- completely invisible. I can highlight my invisible OTF typing and change it to TrueType, and the text is there. Likewise, I can type in a TTF, highlight my typing and change it to an OTF and the text becomes invisible.
So PSP is recognizing the text, it just won't display it in OTF.
I can open previously-created files that used OTF in the text, and the OTF text is not visible, either.
I've never had any problem with OpenType fonts in PSP before -- they've always worked just like the TrueType for me.
The OTFs work fine in all other programs on my computer -- only problem with OTF is in PSP.
How could I , for example, make anything blue transparent, and anything partially blue - partially transparent, and anything not blue - not transparent? (without resorting to the wand tool)
So basically, if you imagine a selection in black and white, where white is the selection, and black is not, how can I do something similar so blue is treated as the selection (depending on how 'blue' it is).
I mean by color screen (since I can't remember the correct term),
I'm running AutoCAD LT 2012. The text in my drawing becomes invisible when I'm in the layouts. (The text associated with leaders is still visible). These drawings are not complicated, but the scale I'm using is 1"=200', so they are large. Everything in the drawing is on Layer 0. There are no X-refs. When I switch back to the model tab, all the text is there.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was adding in some text to a hand drawn image that I scanned in. I put in the first label and it was going smoothly, then I highlighted it and changed the font and the black lettering I put in disappeared.
It still seems to be there, and it shows up in the Layers box. It's just as though the opacity has been turned down to 0% (which it hasn't). It's not stuck behind another layer and it's not the same colour as the background. I can still copy/paste text in and out but I can't make the text visible. Even if I put a colour overlay using the Layer/Layer Styles/Blending Options, it still won't show up.
Even if I start a new image, the same thing happens when I try and put new text in. Basically, my ability to add text to an image has been totally incapacitated.
Have I leant on the keyboard and triggered a short cut I didn't know about? Is it a glitch or a screw up with the program.
On some drawings some of the text and dimensions don’t show up in paper space.
On other drawings they appear as required.
I have checked everything that I know how to check but can’t find what the difference is.
I am using autocad 2008 and I used the function that allows you to hide objects such as hatching or lines under text. When I delete the text, I expected the invisible box to delete with it. Sadly this is not the case. I am not able to click or highlight the invisible box. How to remove said boxes?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm having a bit of an annoying issue regarding the text tool. I have a bunch of text layers in an invisible layer group. When I try to create new text in a layer that's outside of this layer group, it will select an existing text layer located wherever I click -- even though the selected text layer is invisible and in another layer group. I simply want to create new text on a new layer wherever I click and not worry about selecting invisible text.
