When any of the brush sizes reaches a certain limit the edges failed to display and you can't see the complete circle of the brush. This occurred after I checked to allow Open GL Drawing in the preferences but after I unchecked it the problem persisted. I updated my driver (NVidia GForce 6800) to no avail. The brushes have been displaying fine for the last year with the same driver.

How do I activate this double circle brush display in Photoshop CS6. I seem only to see a single circle for the brush display. I am using the "cloud" version with Windows 7.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am trying to locate information on how to achieve a real time display of the Gaussian blur while painting with the brush.
Google is not being useful, nor does Adobe's own forum searches yield anything useful.
I have seen mention of Smart Filters and designating the layer as a Smart Object in order to enable a Smart Filter but I can't seem to get the real time display of the filter when painting so I'm not sure if that proccess is at all useful for me or not as I can't locate information specific to what I'm trying to do.
I'm incidentally using CS5, so if this option doesn't exist, that would be useful to know so that I'm not spinning my wheels.
I know in the brush options panel you can enter a brush size in millimetres, but is there any way to permantly make it display the size in mm? I need to know how thick some lines are in mm, and even after going to options and changing all diplay uints to mm, it still shows up as pts.
I've attached a picture of exactly what I'm referring to below. (The "Size" field currently showing "15 pt". I need that area to display mm).
I notice that the color palette as displayed in the adjustment brush has changed. Below is the display for 5.0 and below this is display for 5.2RC
Wonder if this is signicant. I know it dosent change any thing regarding color selection. Just wondering. I suppose it is more logical geometrically.
I’m a PS user new to Illustrator (CS6). In PS, using the bracket keys [] to increase/decrease brush point size will simultaneously update the data displayed in the tool panel at the top.
While I can use the bracket keys in Illustrator to change the appearance of the brush stroke, it is not being updated in the tool panel input or in the stroke window…so I can essentially have (2) 3 pt strokes created with the same brush that don’t visually match but whose display properties DO match. Because I will be doing lots of editing I certainly don’t want to work this way.
I am currently writing a book that will initially be sold as a PDF but may later go on the i Book store, however I don't have a Retina display myself and what is the best practice for making screenshots from a normal display look acceptably sharp on a Retina display?
I have Photoshop along with the iOS simulator that shows how the iPad or iPhone will look if they can be used in some way but I mainly need to get menu items and dialogue boxes from various applications in OS X and Windows looking good on Retina screens. I really don't want to pay out for a Retina display purely for this task that would only take a few hours of work at most.
Sometimes this happens. At other times nothing will display at all. I have also had a portion of the picture duplicated multiple times on the stage.

No matter what 1 single pixel brush i use this will happen... no matter which computer i use cs6 on and different copies of the installation. Anyway have any insight into this? frankly... it's somewhat limiting that i can't use the brush for stroking a shape if i need a pixel line and yet soft curves that a pencil won't get you.
I am not very good with photoshop, and if there was a brush tool setting to make it just like an actual paint brush.

When I change the settings for 1 brush... say I add some jitter to a smooth brush - then suddenly the other brushes get the same jitter applied to them.
How can I set the brushes so that each brush has a different setting that doesn't change when I change any other brush settings?
p.s. I also don't get why Adobe has you lock a brush by UNlocking it? Seems to me it should be the other way around?
I have contacted Adobe about issues with Photoshop brushes recently. My issue is that the brush size is smaller than the circle that represents the brush. In other words, when I hoover over the area that I want to paint or erase with the circle and then click, the painted or erased area is smaller that the circle. It's really frustrating when fine tuning an image, you never know how close you are to what you want to correct. This is only visible when you zoom in quit a bit. I worked with an Adobe tech for over an hour and he could not simulate the problem. Then he finally asked if I was using a retina display, (he was not).

in the presettings i saw the brush was set to normal size.also i played with the jitter sizes, to no avail.

View 14 Replies View RelatedNew to this video editing game, just have a question regarding 4.3 and 16.9. i have a Canon XM2 which has a setting in the menu for 16.9 wide screen format. When this is selected on the camera the view finder shows a distored image (squshed). I have also found a setting that when 16.9 is turned off you can display 2 horizontal lines on the display. my question is am i better off shooting footage with the 16.9 turned off on the camera and then using Videostudio pro x4 to create the 16.9 format(if this can be done).

When I use the healing brush is tends to "skip". It leaves a line of circles like a stamp would instead of a flowing line like it should leave. No matter how slow I move the brush it leaves a circle and then as I continue to draw nothing happens until I reach the edge of the first circle, it then drops another circle and it continues that way as long as I draw with it. The brush tool works fine, leaves a smooth line. The Spot Healing and Patch Tool work fine but the healing brush will not heal in a smooth stroke. It skips along a leaves a tail of circles the size of the brush. I am using a fast computer, i7 processor, 16bg ram and a SSD drive so I do not think speed is an issue. I upgraded from CS4 where the healing brush worked fine on this computer
