AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Updated Bridge Module
Jul 9, 2013We recently learned that the AutoCAD Civil 3D R2014 Bridge Module has a license check that results in the utility no longer working after July 1, 2013. This appears to be an installation artifact from when this was an Autodesk Labs project.Â
A replacement version is available for Infrastructure Design Suite – Premium/Ultimate subscribers on subscription center. Note that you’ll need to uninstall the original version before installing the updated build. There are no changes to the core utility itself - just the license date verification.

Mar 7, 2012We recently updated our servers and with that the path to all of our drawings. For example what was once located at W:FilesAutoCAD is now located at W:CorporateAutoCADDrawings. The problem is every time we open an old drawing for the first time we must redirect all of the xrefs to the new location. My question is, is there any way to do this automatically for all drawings when they are opened? Is there a way to tell the software to replace "FilesAutoCAD " with "CorporateAutoCADDrawings"? I'm sure others have encountered this dilemma.

Nov 22, 2012I am currently working on a school group project that requires me to submit all inventor files as "LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_PART,ASSY,DRAWING,etc..NAME". My original parts were all done in mm instead of cm, so for our project, I opened all new files and derived the same parts at a different scale to fix this scale issue between the members. For the new derived parts I temporarily allowed the file name to remain as part1, part2, part3.... and continued with the assembly. Now that my assembly is complete and I would like to change my part file names to the required format, my assembly will not show the parts and (?) symbol is shown by all parts with updated file names. I also changed the original file names and now the new derived parts, when opened, have the same (?) which I assume is related to the fact that the derived parts are dependent on the original file. Is there a way to update this information? We are using INVENTOR 2013.

Aug 4, 2013I have imported an OAM file into the first page of an app I am making in InDesign. The OAM looks correct on load but once the animation begins it gets really big and all I see is a tiny portion of the animation.

Photoshop :: CS4 Saved TIFF File Now Won't Open Correctly
Jul 8, 2013I saved a file as a .tif and it saved as normal then I shut down Photoshop and then the PC. The next day when I try to open the file it doesn't open correctly it opens but the right hand side of the photo is on the left and the left hand side of the image is now on the right, its like its been cut in half and put back the wrong way.

It also didn't open with the layers only as a locked background. When I view the file in the icon it looks fine until I open it.

Jul 6, 2012The file naming scheme to add a letter or number to a file name does not work correctly.

Using the Save Image function in CR if I select a File Naming scheme of Document Name = Serrial Letter, I get a file that has a letter 'a' added to the end.
Subsequent saves maintain this 'a' and then add an underscore and an incrementing number. If I select a serial letter then the letter should be the only thing added and it should increment with subsequent saves.

Photoshop :: CS5.1 Suddenly Stops Working Correctly When Opening Another File
Nov 16, 2012I have the Creative Suite cs5.1 student version (had it for about a year now), and now recently I have started to encounter a strange bug with Photoshop.
Sometimes when I have been working in PS for a while and then open another file, the photoshop starts acting weird, resulting in the file looking like this: [URL] .....
And if I try to paint anything, it will look pixelated like in this file:Â [URL] .... and if I use ctrl+z after painting the paint just looks like this:Â [URL]...... the 2 last named effects will also apply for any images opened before this occurrence, and it happens for any file type.
I have checked my video card drivers, and they are up to date, so that's not a problem (My graphics card is ATI Radeon 5700 series). I've also run a throughout virus scan with Norton without it finding anything.

Mar 25, 2013I am updating capture time based on GPS Time (a bit OCD, I know) but when I change Capture Time the Date Time Digitized value does not change. This in in LR 4.3 and is not affected by whether on not the Catalog is set to 'Write date or time changes into proprietary raw files'.

May 21, 2012I upgraded CS5 Design Premium to CS6 Design & Web Premium. Most of my preferences (layout, etc) were imported correctly from CS5. When I right-click (PC, Windows 7) on the Bridge CS6 thumbnail, and click on 'Open with ', there was a collection of Microsoft programs (COM Surrogate 6.1, Microsoft PowerPoint 12.0, Publisher 12.0, Windows Live Photo Gallery 15.4), and no Photoshop (Default). When I used the WIndows file-associations program, and Photoshop CS6 was associated with *.psd files, then it appeared in the 'Open with ...' menu as Photoshop (Default). However, the other Microsoft programs are still present. How do I get rid of these and add the relevant Adobe programs (Ai, Id, Dw, etc),

Oct 13, 2008I was working on three images in Photoshop CS3, when I went to open them from Bridge for review, two of three files were reduced to tiny white squares with a dogear in the top right corner, a little blue bounding box containing three tinier red green and blue somethings so small I couldn't even see what they were with my jewellery spec.
Nothing happened when I clicked on them, no error message, nothing. I managed to get one of them in 'reveal' - which opened up a larger blue bounded box with the red button containing a cross with the message 'cannot open as not right kind of file'.
Photoshop :: How To Get Abode Bridge To Not Save As DW File
Oct 14, 2013Every time I make minor adjustments to a photo in Camera Raw within Adobe Bridge, it saves the edits in a DW (Dreamweaver) file next to that photograph. I have not changed any settings recently and don't know why it would start doing that all of a sudden.
When I delete that DW file, all of the edits to that photo disappear and it reverts back to the original. Every time I click on the DW file, it takes me to Dreamweaver and opens a window with a whole bunch of code. How can I go back to having everything I do in Camera Raw save to/into the photo itself?

Feb 28, 2008For some unknown reason...CS2 has started placing "Adobe Bridge Cache" file shortcuts on my desktop. When I click on one, I receive a Win XP error message that says the file .bc is unkown and can't be opened.
These shortcuts have never appeared before. Now the simple act of opening Bridge and looking at jpeg files seems to initiate it.
Questions: Why is PS doing this? Do I need to pay attention to it? If not, how do I stop PS from cluttering up my desktop.

I am designing a simple label (3.75 x 1.25 inches, black and white) that is mostly text based. I tried printing directly from Illustrator and also as a converted PDF (high quality) and the results are the same - slightly blurry and fuzzy text.Â

The printing problem seems to only happen when I try to print Illustrator files and PDFs converted from Illustrator. (Printing with a laser printer.)
Edge Animate CC :: File Will Not Run Correctly In DPS
Aug 30, 2013I have built an EDGE file to the size of a full page iPad layout (1024 X 768), with a few elements that animate. I have set it up correctly, and, published to "Animate Deployment Package. However, when it plays in DPS, there is a hesitation (or delay), then, a white - stop in the action - then the animation plays fine. I have not coded in delays or stops.

I am not a coder.I have done a number of tests with a variety of "Poster" images, but, I still get the play "Hesitation" (of delay).

Feb 23, 2013I have a vector shape (which is simply four rounded rectangles) that I have converted to a 3D object,now you can see I've angled the flat plane so it's a little oblique, but what I want to do now is map the 'face' of the extruded shape so instead of lying on a flat plane, the plane itself is warped like a sphere.

Imagine taking these 'chicklets' and pressing them onto a bowling ball instead of lying on a flat table.Is there any way to do that in CS6 or am I going to have to do this in another 3D application?
