Photoshop :: Animating HDRI Process In Still Photo
Jul 10, 2012
Animating HDRI process in still photo.I'd like to animate (in AE, for instance) a HDRI photo or better those 5/7 photo differently exposed to show how work this techniques, but I don't know how exactly works all cause in Photoshop and others HDRI sw you obtain directlu a blended photo from these 5 / differnt exposed photos. Above all I'd like to know which kind of blendings mode (or combination of them) these software utilize to obtain a perfect merged HDRI image.

I need to save an image as an HDRI with that extension in order to use it in another program. I figured out how to save as an open EXR but the program does not recognize that format. Is it possible to save as an HDRI?

I just installed LR 5 and want to process an HDR photo in CS 5. When I select CS 5 on the "Edit In" the HDR option is greyed out. If I try to just process a photo in CS 5 I get a message that "This version of Lightroom may require the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in version 8.1 for full compatibility.
CS 5 says my version has no updates. LR 5 says there are no upgrades although I have seen some reference to LR 5.2.

I exclude the case to use an HDRI background to illuminate my scene (with skylight ecc...)
Generally to use an image as background for my rendering is better to be an HDRI or a simple RGB high res image?

I render an exterior scene and I put an HDRI background as enviroment map.
I use mr sun and mr photpgraphic exposure control.
What is most accurate to use as sky:
1. a mr sky
or
2. a skylight with the HDRI as map?

I have just started using a Canon 60D. I wish to use PhotopaintX4 to process the images in RAW of course. Naturally impossible to do at present because PP can't read the file. Is there a download to enable this to happen?

Question: How do I “Add” multiple TIFF files to a Batch Process so I don't get the "what page" question? The PP9 Batch Process Added – OPENED - files, processed according to my script, then saved the result to new type & folder.
X5, a recent purchase, does an IMPORT of TIFFs instead of an OPEN and wants to know what page I want to load. Answering this on each file defeats the purpose of batch processing. How I should write the script?

I've done batch processing before, but unsure of how to simply change the jpg compress on all files in a root folder (with subdirs). I guess I'm stuck in not knowing how to set the compression since this is done in the saving of the file and not really the script part.

I'm using P&G 2013 to generate SVG floorplans for some data visualization on one of our servers, and I've used the product in the past with no issues at all.
However, I have a file that I cannot export to SVG. I have narrowed down the issue to one layer, which is composed entirely of about 1600 simple rectangles with dashed lines. I have also tried using a standard solid line for the shapes, with no luck.
When the export process starts, the program becomes unresponsive, and the status dialog shows it very slowly prepairing to export. When it switches to exporting the document, the counter never moves past 0%.
After an hour or two of not showing any progress, windows auto forces the program to close. Before the program is killed, task manager shows P&G using 100% of one core, and the memory usage increases up until the auto kill.
To try to determine if it was some layer properties causing the issue, I moved a small subset (maybe 15 - 20%) of the rectangles to a new .xar file and tried to export, with the same behavior.

How the PMS color palettes "simulate" on screen how the color will print on different substrates (glossy vs matte vs uncoated paper). That's great for comps, but if you convert it to CMYK to print it, and the values are representing a "simulated" color it won't look correct (by that I mean come close to matching the spot color). For example, the uncoated palette simulates the color by making them appear a bit washed out on screen - pretty good visual simulation. But it might do so by adding black and cyan to orange for example, etc. - effectively dulling the original color.
So if I convert that to CMYK within the new Pantone + color palette, and then send it to the printer - it won't appear as it did on screen, it will dull the end color even more because it's converted the color to the dull simulated version - what a disaster! It's only doing half the job - showing us what it should look like on screen. In order to be truly efficient for design professionals the CMYK conversion might remove black and cyan completely to effectively brighten the color in the final output on uncoated paper. I would prefer it just stick to the standard conversion, which Pantone did have as a standard palette option (PMS to process), and then I can adjust if I think it's necessary.
Any corporate branding system will likely start with a PMS spot color palette for the identity. Then it will build into many different adaptations - full color brochures, large format banners and trade show graphics, website, advertising. So any corporate branding system will need to have PMS, CMYK and RGB versions of their main corporate color palette. There was a standard for these translations that was automatically consistent in the Adobe software and that is now all over the place, so it relies on individuals manually adapting the color mixes for final use - what a great way to screw things up.

i am animating film footage in Photoshop Cs6. i have used the paint brush tool to draw an image over my film, which works nicely. but i have to do this frame by frame--e.g. as i move to the next frame, what i draw is gone, and i have to reanimate every frame. is there a way to hold what i paint in one frame on to the next, so that i am producing a progressive image over the film?

I am trying to animate a simple 3D position change in Photoshop Extended CS6 (OS 10.7.4)Here's what I do:
1. I move my object to its starting position.
2. I move the Current Time Indicator ("playhead") to the time I want the position change to start.
3. I click the Time‑Vary stopwatch icon on the Position layer of the timeline, and a keyframe is automatically created, no problem.
4. I move the playhead away from the initial keyframe to the time I want the position change to end.
5. I move my object to its ending position.
I expect to see the second keyframe be automatically created, as advertised, BUT it is not. What's more, if i move the playhead to "scrub" through the animation, I see no movement. What's happened is the position I set for Keyframe 1 has changed to the position I just moved the object to, which I intended to be Keyframe 2.

I use CS5 + Windows 7, and I would like to make looping gifs from .mp4/.avi clips. I make sure that I set looping to ''forever'', and that I save the file as a gif. once I upload it to a site on chrome(like imageshack and tumblr), the image always stops animating or doesn't animate at all. I've tried uploading the image on Firefox, and it looped forever on the image's direct link on imageshack. But when I upload the image to tumblr on either browsers, either from my files or the imageshack link, it still stops looping. When I go to a tumblr page to mass-delete posts, a gif that has a smaller size than an older gif(this one doesn't animate at all anymore) does loop. Every other gif on the whole site I haven't made always loop.

if it would be possible to create a picture and then animate it.
Bottom line, I would like to draw a simple dual coloured flag and then make it wave as if it was in a gentle breeze.
The ultimate goal is to use this as a backdrop to a picture slideshow I am planning to create.

I have a Panoramic that I put together of a Manhattan City Scape that consist of 2 rows of 32 images set at a Portriat format. What I want is to take the Panoramic that I have and fit the image centered on a canvas equalling that of my flat screen tv, that being 1920x1080 with black filler at the top and bottom of the image area.I then want to, or atleast was hoping to save "Layers" with each layer zooming in by a percentage of say 103% (for example)... Until eventually that final layer would consist of a fully zoomed in view of the center portion of the panoramic at full resolution. Ultimately I want to burn the final images to a DVD for playback on my Flatscreen showing the entire Pano Zooming in to its center...I was thinking that I could maybe assemble all the layers into an .AVI or something."

I wish to create a smooth transition between the Before & After of a Filter Effect. I know settings in Layer Styles can be tweaked in simple animations, how can i do it to a filter effect? I use photoshop & flash does anyone know anyway to do it smoothly? any plug-ins or methods?
the only method i can think of is to create multiple images then adding them in flash, but that wouldn't be smooth enough for me and it will make my flash file too big if i import so many images.
can anyone suggest any workaround to that? any software/plug-in that can do that? The effect im trying to create is the flipping of a page, i found a filter to curl the ends of the page already, but it only saves a image at a time.

After months of saving GIFs just fine, Elements 11 has stopped working properly. I've tried uninstalling, resetting preferences, and reducing the file size, but when trying to save a GIF, all I get is a frozen screen that says "Export: Save for Web and Devices". The screen looks like it's trying to save, but never does. I've made much larger GIFs with no trouble at all, but I can't even make one with 5 frames now.

Usually i just do stills, but soon i maybe will have to animate the work of a robot like that one:
[URL].......
I can do it just manually by moving the different parts of the robot according to the needs of the animation. But is there a way to automate/ease up animation of such a robot? Because the way that i do it is just quite slow and if i have to animate 30 robots which are doing different things it would take me a century.

I've seen the tutorials about using an Audio Float Controller to move a speaker cone but the sync with the music is "Meh" at best. Pretty much just animates it depending on how loud the music is at that given time and just shakes the cones wildly. Has anyone ran into a script that will follow the audio wave form more closely and would be able to distinguish and filter out just the low frequencies to use for a sub?
I guess I could make the cone vibrate back and forth and then when the bass "kicks" I could manually push the cone out at that given time. Seems like alot of blood, sweat, and tears though.

We've been asked to create an animated map, of sorts. Nothing on the map really would move, but sections would start one color, then highlight and change to a different color. I'm assuming the ideal deliverable would be a HD quality movie file that they could slide the time marker back and forth to see different levels of progress.
Imagine you're trying to show a highway repaving project that will take a number of years to complete. You start with the whole highway where nothing's been repaved. Then, the first year's repaving highlights and then changes color to show that it's been repaved. It remains the new color. Then, the next year's repaving highlights and then changes to the repaved color. This continues until the whole highway is shown as repaved.
I can't imagine Map3D not being able to do this, I just want to search out the best way before we get started. Worst case, we save out a whole bunch of map images and assemble them in some other software. But it seems like Map3D ought to be able to do it.

The idea goes like this: I want to animate a set of pipes where the top half of a pipe will become gradually transparent (invisible) in the middle of the animation, allowing users to see the liquid flow inside them.
So let's say we have an animation consisting of a total of 300 frames. On frame 100, the top half of the pipe will be at 0% transparency. On frame 101, transparency is at 10%. On frame 103, transparency is at 20% etc. This goes all the way until the transparency is at 100%, where the liquid is visible within the lower half of the pipe.
Can this be pulled off in 3D Studio Max?

I am working on a small animation for a piston pump. I have managed to get the shaft and piston head moving in the correct motion using an expression controller and now trying to get the arm part to work in sync is causing me problems, it just seems to be largely out of place. There is probably a simple solution for the problem although as I am new i am still getting to grips with the software. I have attached a file for the scene.
The attachment feature doesn't seem to be working therefore i have uploaded the file to this link:
