I have checked my settings from PSPx3 with PSPx4 and everything seems the same when using the paintbrush tool but yet every time no matter the hardness level of the brush i end up with a white border on my texture .. NOT visible inside the program itself but becomes visible once I apply the texture to avatar.
View 4 RepliesSome of the images I have taken with my Olympus 7010 still camera, when opened up in PSPro X, are not showing correctly.A portion of the image is sectioned and the smaller part of the image has moved along horizontally, the effect being that for instance, a person's head is not on the body but further along the image. This only happens now and again but is annoying, the last time 2 out of 24 images were like this.They were loaded on to my pc via the camera's card,in a card reader.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a picture of a man that i deleted its background using the magic wand. I chose the background with the best tolerance that i can and push "delete" button. his deleted the background.
But when i put that man on another dark background, i can see a very thin white line around the man, like it was "cut" from another image (which is true...) how do i get rid of this white line around him?
I tried to focus and delete it manually but it is an endless work. I attached the image, do you see the white stripe around the man?

Round Corner Borders?
After a round corner digital photo is created is there a way to outline the curved corners selection with a border?
(I have seen it done in Photoshop) I just upgraded to X3 hoping to be abe to accomplish this.
I am using version X4, which I am new to, having bought it just a week ago.
I have approximately 70 jpg images I'd like to add borders to. All of the images will have the same color and thickness.
Is it possible to create some sort of batch process that automatically adds borders to all 70 images? Right now, I've been adding borders one-by-one to the images. It got tedious after the first dozen.
If there is a way to automate the procedure? If so, what must I do? If it's possible, will all 70 images be re-saved automatically, as well?

Every time I add a border [image|add borders] all my layers merge. How can I add a border and preserve my layers so I can save as a pspimage file.
In Photoshop I could add a border to the background and call it a day. Can I do something similiar with PaintShop?
As illustrated in attached image, I have several pictures (each one as different layer) in a same PSPIMAGE file. I would like to make “rounded” the border/edge of the all pictures (currently they are squared). How could I proceed with this operation?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI create all of my lineart for illustrations, in Adobe Illustrator. I use the pen tool in combination with the line width tool to create line weight. Once I have completed all of the line work, I select everything and Expand. This results in not having fills for teh areas of the illustration which need to be colored.
From there, what I do is select everything > livepaint > make. I then fill in each area with a base color, using the live paint bucket tool. Once completed, I again select everything > expand. This leaves me fills that I can select indivually to apply gradients and work with directly.
This process works great until I expand the live paint group. After expanding, there is a very thin white border everywhere that two seperate colors meet. This only happens after expanding, it does not happen when it is still a live paint group. I have tried every option in the expand window, and get the same result.
I have exported the completed work in several formats ( .jpg, eps, .png ) and the lines are still there.

Not sure when this started happening since the last time I used Gimp was about a week or so ago and everything was fine at that point... Now when I open these ".xcf" files I've been working on in Gimp I see this strange Blue Scribble that is showing in the same location for pretty much all the xcf files I opened.
I went through every layer in the "Layers" window and made each one NOT visible in an attempt to see if it was something on one of the layers, but it remained there even after ALL layers were no Longer visible. I also created a new xcf file, saved it, then re-opened it in Gimp and NO scribble was there...
If I export one of the files showing the Blue Scribble into any other format and then re-opened it in Gimp the Blue Scribble is gone too.
I have LR4, and once I make some develop changes I've been exporting the files I want to use as DNG. I then open them in PSE10 to make final edits. It's been working fine, actually I had an older version of Adobe Raw in my PSE on my other computer. So when I opened in PSE it would ask if I wanted to conver to compatible version to edit in camera raw. I always said no b/c I didn't need to do anymore raw edits. Now that I have installed PSE on my new computer, it has the new ACR version I guess. When I open the DNGs to edit now I no longer get this error message, but it's showing my contrast, etc. as a standard raw setting instead of the changes I made in LR. Some are showing....like vibrance, but "recovery" which I know is "highlights" in LR, and other things are not showing correctly. I know that the options are different, but I don't want to use the ACR settings that it's using when I open the file, or have to go through them again.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI wanted to upgrade from PSP 8, which doesn't work well at all any more since I installed Win7 to the newest Corel's PSP x5.After downloading and installing the 30 day demo I went to view some of my saved PNG & PSD files which have transparencies, but PSP x5 will not display the transparencies, instead it turns their backgrounds into a solid white.
I'm still using GIMP 2 which has no problem showing my transparencies, why won't PSP x5 show them and what do I do I need to do to view my transparencies?
I have noticed that files opened in Paint.NET 3.5.8 tend to pixelate at higher magnification. This occurs regardless of size, format or resolution. The same files opened in other Adobe, Ulead or even my MS file viewer do not do this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am sure i saw that somewhere but how do i get the icons to show back instead of the bare text list of the drop down menus? In the old versions, it was easier to find my way around if i had to change version and the list might not have been in the same order, or if i was making a tutorial and someone had a PSP in a different language; i could just display the icon instead of the name for the other person to be able to identify which tool i was talking about. But in later versions, they are gone. How do i get them back?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAlways when i cut a photo in Corel X3, save it and look to it in a other photo program, Then i have on the left side and the bottom side a white line of 1 pixel.
When i cut a photo from (for example) 1200x1600 and cut a piece from it (for example) 500x500 and i save it, i must always again cut the white line and again make it tot 500x500 pixels.

ALL I want to do is..
place a photo on a page and then give it a border..a 'transparent' border - aka..perhaps a softened edge / or one which looks like its 'merged' into the background. Im doing a dvd cover so ideally not wanting a ''photo simply stuck on page' look. A more subtle effect.
Easy enough ( with previous versions..Photoimpact 11 per say ) ..click on border..select a fancy design and hey-ho it appears...the effect of a photo with a blended feel into the background.
NOW - all i've managed to do on this program is, SELECT IMAGE>PICTURE FRAME> ( a choice appears) once click on..say..EDGE FUN 03..the effect ( of some flowers ) does appear..but alone with it a massive great white border...shrinking the image etc...ALL I WANT TO DO IS TO TURN THAT MASSIVE WHITE BORDER INTO..SAY.. ANOTHER COLOR. or perhaps just blend it into my original background.
I have set my original layer to ..transparent.. ( i think )...but have colored this purple.
( How the heck do you get the right-hand categories to appear in my main editing page. Having to go to EFFECTS>EFFECT EDGES..or whatever...to show a small thumbnail of an effect isnt great..much perfected Photo impact when you ran your mouse along the effects and by and large the effect changed on your original large image so you can see what the effect was better. )
I purchased and installed version PSPX4 in Jan. 2012, and started noticing, what appears to be, a duplicate copy of the same file with an Asian type file format in the Recent Doc folder. When I attempt to do a weekly scan of my system for spyware, malware, etc. and weekly clean up of my registry, temp files and other files taking up space, one of my programs finds files listed in the registry under the Recent Doc folder that it cannot clean as the format is not recognized. Even though the properties of the file link the file back to the folder the .jpg file is stored in, there really isn't a file with that format. This is just a reference, and very annoying.

I have imported a jpeg image by double clicking it and it is showing as a vector in the workspace.All the tools on the left are greyed out(eg clone brush) except for the text tool.On selecting the text tool instead of the usual box showing a blue bar appears on top of the screen which can be moved about.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem printing out a black and white photo. This is the first time I'm tring to print from PSP 3. When the photo is printed out, instead of looking like what I did in PSP 3, it looks like it was imbossed and black pencil. I have done a search and played around with PSP 3 with no luck..Even reinstalled PSP 3. If I go to the photo file, both the saved and the original, and print it directly, they comes out near perfect, except for a purple tint in both. You do not see the purple tint in the photo when in PSP 3 or the saved file untill it is priinted out.

I use a Pentax K-r and the white balance icon above the EXIF data panel only shows if I have used Auto White Balance. If I have used any of the other modes available in the camera, no icon is shown and the EXIF data lists the shot as taken with manual white balance. The other two icons (metering mode and JPG/DNG) work correctly. The white balance issue means that I have to note the white balance setting of each shot while the card is in the camera and put it by hand against the shot in PaintShop Pro. This is very time-consuming and seems to be a serious omission.
I have since found that the white balance icon works with my Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-150 camera, although the EXIF data still shows the shots as taken with manual white balance, so it seems to be a compatibility problem that needs to be resolved.
I'm having trouble changing a black and white map to filling it with a color. In the materials palette the foreground and background remain in the greys/blacks and will not accept the change to a color.

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to fade to transparency by myself I am left with a residue problem when saving to a different file format.
I took my square image and pasted as a layer. Behind this is a raster layer flood filled with black (As the image will be going onto a black t-shirt). I used a rounded rectangle selection tool to make a mask somewhere just inside the image borders. I then applied a Gaussian blur to the mask and it faded the edges of the image beautifully. I checked with the black background layer off and again it faded nicely into transparency.
Now my issue is that when I save it as a PNG file (with background set to transparency of course) and try to use it against various coloured backgrounds there seems to be a white glow around the edges where it is meant to fade out.
How to create a photo that has a specific area of a photo containing the original color and the rest of the photo be black and white. I am using Corel Paitshop Pro X4 Ultimate.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI started with a tif image that's a black & white drawing and used the fill tool to fill in some black areas that were supposed to be solid, but weren't. I also did a lot of cutting to get rid of specks on the image. It looked fine when I closed and saved it, but when I went to convert it to a PDF, all my tif's have a black background and white lettering--should be just the opposite. I have gone into the images and they all look that way (apart from the PDF). I'm guessing this is a layer issue, but I'm new to this program and can't figure out what I did wrong and how to fix it. I really don't want to start over. So, to restate, everything that should be black is white and all that should be white is black.
