Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6 :: Text Showing Up As Blue Dotted Line On Projects And Not Staying?
Mar 31, 2013My text was working fine til today, now when I try typing text, it is showing as a blank box, until I click outside of it, then it shows as a blue dotted line on the text. Then when I send it to the laser, it is not there!( laser engraver or the printer). I just want the text to be normal, like it was 2 days ago! Before, I could click anywhere, type, and it showed up with no problems!

Oct 20, 2011When i mark Text/Dimension/Multileader and such in autocad 2011 LT, i get an issue, which i have tried to shown on the picture.The problem is that when i mark them, they show the current size they have, plus any other size they have had (Annotation it seems).
I Make a dimension. The overall annotation scale is 1:10. Now i change the overall annotation scale to 1:100. Then i set the overall annotation scale back to 1:10, i click my dimension, and it now shows how it currently looks, plus how it looked when the annotation scale was 1:100. This way i end up with every text object showing up 5 times when i mark them.
Illustrator :: Extra Text Showing When Paste Text
Oct 1, 2012In the past day I have run into a problem whenever I copy and paste any text inside Illustartor CS6. If I copy text from outside Illustator and paste in a file, everything is ok. But if I copy text from inside an AI file and paste into another AI file or to the same file, I get a bunch of extra text that gets displayed before the pasted text. In the example below I copied and pasted the text "This is a test" within the same AI file, and got the a bunch of information above the text.

Sep 11, 2011I created a 8-bit .bmp file which shows 257 (=2^8+1) colors in Windows Picture Viewer. The image shows a black frame with 256 different red colors inside. You may load it with Paint.Net and count the colors. ;-)

Paint Shop Pro :: Transparencies Are Not Showing?
Oct 16, 2012I wanted to upgrade from PSP 8, which doesn't work well at all any more since I installed Win7 to the newest Corel's PSP x5.After downloading and installing the 30 day demo I went to view some of my saved PNG & PSD files which have transparencies, but PSP x5 will not display the transparencies, instead it turns their backgrounds into a solid white.
I'm still using GIMP 2 which has no problem showing my transparencies, why won't PSP x5 show them and what do I do I need to do to view my transparencies?

Jun 4, 2011Text is allowed only on the outside of a rectangle shape. The text cursor disappears when I try to enter it into the rectangle and when I place it on the edge of the rectangle, it rurns into a slanted "A" and allows texting on the border of the rectangle. Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 (build date Sept 7, 2010). This software came with my new HP Pavilion dv7.

Dec 19, 2011I am sure i saw that somewhere but how do i get the icons to show back instead of the bare text list of the drop down menus? In the old versions, it was easier to find my way around if i had to change version and the list might not have been in the same order, or if i was making a tutorial and someone had a PSP in a different language; i could just display the icon instead of the name for the other person to be able to identify which tool i was talking about. But in later versions, they are gone. How do i get them back?

Sep 4, 2012Some of the images I have taken with my Olympus 7010 still camera, when opened up in PSPro X, are not showing correctly.A portion of the image is sectioned and the smaller part of the image has moved along horizontally, the effect being that for instance, a person's head is not on the body but further along the image. This only happens now and again but is annoying, the last time 2 out of 24 images were like this.They were loaded on to my pc via the camera's card,in a card reader.

When I click with the text tool, or create a text box, and type in it, the type will appear in the Layers frame but not on the image (even if it's a new image). Apr 7, 2008I am running Photoshop CS2, when I click on the Type Tool and then click on my document to place and enter the type nothing is showing up. The Text layer is showing up in my layers palette but I can't see anything on the document. The color, size, font have all been checked (black, tried sizes from 2-200, Times New Roman). This is happening in new documents and if I open existing documents.

Jul 14, 2009Just recently (only as of this morning as far as I know, but possibly for a few days) my text won't show up in photoshop, no matter what I do. Instead I only see a VERY tiny tiny type-cursor and when I highlight my text by clicking the thumbnail in the layers palette my text is underlined. The underline effect usually goes away after I've canceled or approved the "changes".
I've made sure the resolution is 72. My background color is white, foreground is black and my text color is also black. No matter what size I change my font to, it doesn't show up. I've tried changing fonts, and I've tried applying and unapplying all of the text effects/settings. I tried rebooting my computer and uninstalling/reinstalling photoshop. My text in all my other programs (Word, notepad, Paint, etc.) works just fine.

Jan 29, 2007I don't know if this is in the exact forum or not, but anyways. I am experiencing a problem with Photoshop CS2. The text doesn't want to show up what so ever.
1) Check and see if your text is the same color as the background.
2) Make sure your text is under anything.
Or any of that type of nature because I have used photoshop for about 2 years now. So if anyone has any info on this,
GIMP :: Text Is Not Showing
Sep 12, 2011Brand new install on my new Windows Vista PC and opened an image with Gimp and selected the text tool. The colour is set to black but when I type anything, no text appears. 'Hinting' and 'Anitialiasing' are checked/ticked. If I moved the dotted box that's supposed to contain the text, the text appears over the image I want the text to appear under, the text appears!

Nov 8, 2012I just learned how to make the background of my images transparent and am learning how to use layers. I am trying to save my pictures to picasa and photoshop so they are backed up and I can easily access them from any computer. I noticed that some of the pics are showing up all black. It's like the colors are inverted almost. I can kinda see the image in white, but mostly the whole thing is black. I noticed the same thing happened when I tried to open some of the images in paint.
I checked to see if they are all the same file type and they are not. Some are gif and some are png.
Also, some of my images won't open in windows photo gallery. They open in a blank web page. I originally go to my pictures and find them there, but when I click on them they open a page in IE instead of windows photo gallery so I can't crop them or anything.
I am trying to work on a project where I print silhouettes or simple images on vintage sheet music to use as art. I need to be able to take them to a print shop to have this done and I can't do that if the images show up black or won't open in a regular program.
I am attaching a pic that saved black like I talked about and a pic of what it is supposed to look like.
Paint.NET :: Overlaying Image Is Showing Checkerboard Background When Saved
Aug 21, 2012I have an issue with a transparent image. So, I have an image of someone & I want to paste an image of a transparent heart around their face, which I also have. I open the heart in Paint.net & notice the checkerboard background, which means that the background is transparent. I then copy & paste it onto the image of the person but the heart still has the checkerboard background instead of being transparent & it is covering the face. Also, when I saved the heart image on my Mac desktop, the thumbnail had a white background but when I opened it in Preview & iPhoto, it was transparent.
PS: I have Parallels Desktop so I'm running Mac & Windows side-by-side.

Xara :: PDF Export Text Not Showing Up
Jul 11, 2011I am having difficulty with the pdf export settings.It seems like it is working fine but text will not show up when viewed on Apple computers/ipad/iphone. Pdf opens fine on my windows system.I know that I can "print" to a pdf viewer like "cute pdf" or similar but those viewers distort and cut off pages and are a general pain to use with xara.
I could also convert the text to "editable shapes" but then all the 'l' 's look terrible and the text generally looks very rough and horrible.
