Just recently (only as of this morning as far as I know, but possibly for a few days) my text won't show up in photoshop, no matter what I do. Instead I only see a VERY tiny tiny type-cursor and when I highlight my text by clicking the thumbnail in the layers palette my text is underlined. The underline effect usually goes away after I've canceled or approved the "changes".
I've made sure the resolution is 72. My background color is white, foreground is black and my text color is also black. No matter what size I change my font to, it doesn't show up. I've tried changing fonts, and I've tried applying and unapplying all of the text effects/settings. I tried rebooting my computer and uninstalling/reinstalling photoshop. My text in all my other programs (Word, notepad, Paint, etc.) works just fine.
I'm wanting to create transparent text over a picture with only the outline of the text showing. So basically, I need to only see the stroke of the text and have be picture show thru from behind.
i am trying to create a drop shadow on text. i select the text and then copy and then paste in back. however, the copy shows up way above the text and not behind it. what am i doing wrong?
When i mark Text/Dimension/Multileader and such in autocad 2011 LT, i get an issue, which i have tried to shown on the picture. The problem is that when i mark them, they show the current size they have, plus any other size they have had (Annotation it seems).
I Make a dimension. The overall annotation scale is 1:10. Now i change the overall annotation scale to 1:100. Then i set the overall annotation scale back to 1:10, i click my dimension, and it now shows how it currently looks, plus how it looked when the annotation scale was 1:100. This way i end up with every text object showing up 5 times when i mark them.
In the past day I have run into a problem whenever I copy and paste any text inside Illustartor CS6. If I copy text from outside Illustator and paste in a file, everything is ok. But if I copy text from inside an AI file and paste into another AI file or to the same file, I get a bunch of extra text that gets displayed before the pasted text. In the example below I copied and pasted the text "This is a test" within the same AI file, and got the a bunch of information above the text.
I am having the following problem, Every time that I am trying to create a text, appears as this image below and the text does not stay there, nor I can modify it. I already reset all the preferences, configuration, etc, Why I cannot set the text there? also every time that I create a text a new layer is not created for this text. I am using photoshop cs3.
Photoshop CS2 has suddenly stopped displaying text on images. When I click with the text tool, or create a text box, and type in it, the type will appear in the Layers frame but not on the image (even if it's a new image). It's not a zoom, or size, or font problem, nor is it an opacity issue or layer visibility problem.
I am using Photoshop CS1. When I go to write in text, I click and I get a tiny square, then I begin typing. Unfortunately, the text is so small, it doesn't show up.
It's got nothing to do with the font color, size, position, opacity, etc, as I've already looked into it,
I am running Photoshop CS2, when I click on the Type Tool and then click on my document to place and enter the type nothing is showing up. The Text layer is showing up in my layers palette but I can't see anything on the document. The color, size, font have all been checked (black, tried sizes from 2-200, Times New Roman). This is happening in new documents and if I open existing documents.
I have this image saved as a .jpeg, and whenever I go to use the text tool the actual words do not show up on the image, however they appear on the layers box.

I don't know if this is in the exact forum or not, but anyways. I am experiencing a problem with Photoshop CS2. The text doesn't want to show up what so ever.
1) Check and see if your text is the same color as the background.
2) Make sure your text is under anything.
Or any of that type of nature because I have used photoshop for about 2 years now. So if anyone has any info on this,
While working on a project of mine yesterday the panels that display eraser and pen tool etc. stopped showing text. I can still see the hidden tools, but can no longer see text. I am quite familiar with most tools, but not all so it is a pain when I need to try that oddball tool I don't use regularly.
I tried to reset the Text tool and gave it a larger font. All I get is a straight line and the text shows up in the layer box.  This worked for me previously, but now it is stubborn.
I've gone to create a new shape layer or text layer, it appears like it's at 50% opacity. I've checked my layer settings, and they're all at 100% fill and opacity. I can't see any reason why they'd be semi-transparent, and none of the settings I've tried have changed anything. I've even tried deleting the shapes/text, saving my document, and starting over. That worked one time, but this time it's not working.  Even applying a color overlay still results in a semi-transparent shape.I am in the middle of doing a design for a client, for print, and I really can't be dealing with this right now.
Whenever i open up a CR2 file in photshop the screen that pops up is meant to be grey but instead it shows up black with most of the txt showing, i can still use the sliders to fix the picture but it doesnt feel right
Brand new install on my new Windows Vista PC and opened an image with Gimp and selected the text tool. The colour is set to black but when I type anything, no text appears. 'Hinting' and 'Anitialiasing' are checked/ticked. If I moved the dotted box that's supposed to contain the text, the text appears over the image I want the text to appear under, the text appears!
how do I end my videos with the last text that I used to continue to show on a black background? I have accidentally done it before but could never replicate the process.
I want my website URL to continue to display in my video once the video is over. I don't want to go to a blank black screen.
I am having difficulty with the pdf export settings. It seems like it is working fine but text will not show up when viewed on Apple computers/ipad/iphone. Pdf opens fine on my windows system.I know that I can "print" to a pdf viewer like "cute pdf" or similar but those viewers distort and cut off pages and are a general pain to use with xara.
I could also convert the text to "editable shapes" but then all the 'l' 's look terrible and the text generally looks very rough and horrible.
I want to do some text animations. However, when I place in my text layer and type in my text it comes up a a bunch of black blocks, as per my screen shot.Â
Running into some strange text issues... fonts having problems and text not showing on the drawing that is in the text box. (shows fine with out the bold option but does not when its turned on)
I am running AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2012. When editting Text or MText, if I try to highlight some part of text, it does highlight BUT it does not show the highlight. What I mean is like if you were to highlight some text of this paragraph, on any internet explorer, it should highlight whatever text with blue. On every other version of AutoCAD, this is also the case. On my AutoCAD, I can highlight the text but it never shows the blue highlight, it does not show it as I am highlighting, nor does not show after I make my selection. If you are very careful you can still select the correct text, but this makes it very hard to know exactly what you are about to edit or delete. I was wondering if there is some setting that may have been in previous AutoCAD that I don't know about that somehow got changed or something?
I have done this a thousand times, and not had a problem. Basically I tried putting a gradient into text, and nothing happened. I tried it on a shape, and it worked fine. So I went to the appearances panel and added a new fill for the text. It worked, but even with the stroke disabled, there is still a weird glitchy outline around the text?  I tried exporting the file as PDF to check if this is just showing up in program...but it shows up in the outputted PDF too!
After going back to some Premiere Pro projects which contain a lot of graphics (PNG files) they don't display as the images, they display as text, which is the first font avalible in my font selection with the word 'LOGO' I don't know why this happens and other than re importing all the PNG's again i don't know how to correct this. Â Admittedly the file locations have changed but when opening the project I am prompted to locate media, which i do, the media is then found with no problems. The media is also present at the correct points on the time line, but it's the same logo problem. Â [URL]
