While working on a project of mine yesterday the panels that display eraser and pen tool etc. stopped showing text. I can still see the hidden tools, but can no longer see text. I am quite familiar with most tools, but not all so it is a pain when I need to try that oddball tool I don't use regularly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I've been recently using Photoshop it seems that a small selection of the filter tools are not selectable on the filter menu (things such as Brush Strokes, Artistic, Sketch and Texture) even when I exit Photoshop and put it back on it still does this. However, with older works all the filter tools work and show up. Also if I was to choose a random JPEG file from my computer and open it with photoshop the filter tools are usable then also; but even when I save my work as a JPEG and open it back into photoshop as the file the filter tools still do not show up.
Also as I realized when trying to take a screen-shot, the files that do not have the filter tools showing cannot be uploaded, they come up as an errored picture when uploaded onto image sites such as 'Photobucket' or 'Imageshack',
When I point over any opened image, I just see a hand, even if I have a tool selected.
Non of the images are Read Only.
Is there any way to enlarge the text in the panels, such as the "layers panel"? My eyesight just isn't what it used to be, and I would like to make it bigger. Is this even possible???
View 2 Replies View RelatedI must have clicked something or inadvertantly pressed a keyboard shortcut or something because a couple of weeks ago, the sub-tools on the tool palette started popping up without me having to hold down the mouse button for a second. Now when I click a tool (the rectangular marqee tool for example), the hidden tools (eliptical marqee, single row etc.).
I'm using PS CS5 on Windows 7.
I'm using GIMP 2.8.4
One day, my Toolbox suddenly started showing "double tools". All of the tools are repeated twice.
I've played with all of the Toolbar setting, but I've been unable to get rid of this annoying problem!
I use the GIMP all the time and I love it! I'm not a realexpert, but can do mostly what I like.
I'm using Gimp 2.6 on Ubuntu. I open the GIMP, and I'm going along just fine, then all of a sudden I can't get the dialog box for a tool I'm using and I can't view the layers tool box. If I close everything and open GIMP again, it will work for a while.
We are using 64bit Windows 7 & Inventor 2012. We got the drawing tools to show up correctly on one machine, but can't get them to show up as an add-in on a second machine. We've uninstalled & re-installed the tools. registarted the tools many times. Nothing seems to be working.

I also want to export DXF files of text to engrave the panels. The router software from Step-Four says it needs the text exploded into objects (lines, curves etc) before importing the DXF file. How do I explode the text in AutoCAD for the DXF files?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst it stops pasting anything except the first thing copied when Gimp opens, and now this. When I try to search for a font or type in text in the text tool in Gimp 2.8, it just jumps to random other tools instead of typing.
Why can't this program ever seem to work FULLY?
I built one with the Slideshow. I couldn't figure out where the descriptions were supposed to come from, I thought I could enter them in Bridge somewhere, but didn't figure that out.
So, I opened them up in Dreamweaver and added descriptions to each of the files. Problem is that as the slideshow goes on, only the first description shows up, the rest, the file number changes, but not the description.
I have been using Photoshop CC for just a few weeks. Today, it appears that every time I click on the type tool the application hangs until I force-quit. It also will hang if I try to display the Character palette. It seems that anything associated with type causes the application to hang and eventually crash.

I selected the test images and applied the new template but the old info wont leave. any ideas appreciated. thanks.
(made another template with word NONE, in all fields I want blank. If I apply that new template within PS and then save the file, it will overwrite the old info, but within Bridge, if I apply the new template, Bridge will not overwrite anything -- only add new info. This will be real cumbersome to make action on thousands of images. any way to get Bridge to do this right?
i am trying to create a drop shadow on text. i select the text and then copy and then paste in back. however, the copy shows up way above the text and not behind it. what am i doing wrong?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i mark Text/Dimension/Multileader and such in autocad 2011 LT, i get an issue, which i have tried to shown on the picture.The problem is that when i mark them, they show the current size they have, plus any other size they have had (Annotation it seems).
I Make a dimension. The overall annotation scale is 1:10. Now i change the overall annotation scale to 1:100. Then i set the overall annotation scale back to 1:10, i click my dimension, and it now shows how it currently looks, plus how it looked when the annotation scale was 1:100. This way i end up with every text object showing up 5 times when i mark them.
In the past day I have run into a problem whenever I copy and paste any text inside Illustartor CS6. If I copy text from outside Illustator and paste in a file, everything is ok. But if I copy text from inside an AI file and paste into another AI file or to the same file, I get a bunch of extra text that gets displayed before the pasted text. In the example below I copied and pasted the text "This is a test" within the same AI file, and got the a bunch of information above the text.

When I click with the text tool, or create a text box, and type in it, the type will appear in the Layers frame but not on the image (even if it's a new image). I am running Photoshop CS2, when I click on the Type Tool and then click on my document to place and enter the type nothing is showing up. The Text layer is showing up in my layers palette but I can't see anything on the document. The color, size, font have all been checked (black, tried sizes from 2-200, Times New Roman). This is happening in new documents and if I open existing documents.
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust recently (only as of this morning as far as I know, but possibly for a few days) my text won't show up in photoshop, no matter what I do. Instead I only see a VERY tiny tiny type-cursor and when I highlight my text by clicking the thumbnail in the layers palette my text is underlined. The underline effect usually goes away after I've canceled or approved the "changes".
I've made sure the resolution is 72. My background color is white, foreground is black and my text color is also black. No matter what size I change my font to, it doesn't show up. I've tried changing fonts, and I've tried applying and unapplying all of the text effects/settings. I tried rebooting my computer and uninstalling/reinstalling photoshop. My text in all my other programs (Word, notepad, Paint, etc.) works just fine.
I have this image saved as a .jpeg, and whenever I go to use the text tool the actual words do not show up on the image, however they appear on the layers box.
