View 3 Replies View RelatedSome basic question: just need remove text from image (png), text is just on white background and there are no other objects around it, so text area can be easily selected with Rectangular marquee. If I just select text with Rectangular Marquee, then use Edit > Cut this probably will be destructive editing way, which isn't good. I can also select text use Rectangular marquee then Edit > Fill and fill Contents area with Background Color.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been using Photoshop CC for just a few weeks. Today, it appears that every time I click on the type tool the application hangs until I force-quit. It also will hang if I try to display the Character palette. It seems that anything associated with type causes the application to hang and eventually crash.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi am trying to clean up grayscale scans of line text to prepare it for ocr processing. i need to do three things in BATCH processes:
1) there is often some 'ghost text' that comes through from the other side of thinner pages when they are scanned, as well as some page texture. i need to strip these lighter gray marks without altering the black text. i don't want to binarize the text, as this reduces the text quality. just clear out the specific 'tone bands' of gray that are marking up the pages.
2) basic page splitting.
3) remove center gutter shadows left by scanning on a flatbed scanner.

While working on a project of mine yesterday the panels that display eraser and pen tool etc. stopped showing text. I can still see the hidden tools, but can no longer see text. I am quite familiar with most tools, but not all so it is a pain when I need to try that oddball tool I don't use regularly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have several text boxes in my drawing with two grips. When you drag either grip, it re-sizes the text, it will also not allow you to enter a new size in the properties box. I can't convert them to mtext since the position will change; how to remove one of the two grips or another way, so that I can change the text height in the properties.
I'll write a LISP routine to move the top grip (they're all vertically orientated) by a set amount to re-size the text;

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a long time Corel user trying out Coreldraw suite 6. I'm having a problem making some shape tools work on text (they work fine on other objects). If, for example, I write a piece of text and then select it, followed by the smear shape tool, most of the time the text is deselected and the tool does nothing. However, the Shape, Smudge and Roughen brushes work OK. I've tried using different fonts and text attribute to no avail. I've tried L&R clicking, holding the button down and double (and multiple) clicking slowly and quickly. But no deal. It's not a mouse or pad problem, it's the same on both.
BUT...guess what, every now and then it decides to work! Sometimes it will work on a piece of text and later won't work on it again.
