When trying to use the text tool, nothing seems to happen ...I try to enlarge the text but cannot see anything.
After entering some text If I the click on the green tick button I get a tiny Box..If I then enlarge the tiny text box I can see my text..
I am a new Gimp user and have just started working on my first project with this application. Unfortunately, I ran into a roadblock almost immediately. I am unable to make text any larger than 30 PX. I can enter larger sizes than this in the Text Tool window, but any value greater than 30 has no effect. It doesn't matter whether I am trying to change existing text or am setting up the Text Tool for entering some new text. Selecting different units for the text size makes no difference in the maximum text size.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhile working on a project of mine yesterday the panels that display eraser and pen tool etc. stopped showing text. I can still see the hidden tools, but can no longer see text. I am quite familiar with most tools, but not all so it is a pain when I need to try that oddball tool I don't use regularly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using AutoCAD 2000 LT to generate DXF files to drive a CNC router for making panels for electronic equipment, which works fine.
I also want to export DXF files of text to engrave the panels. The router software from Step-Four says it needs the text exploded into objects (lines, curves etc) before importing the DXF file. How do I explode the text in AutoCAD for the DXF files?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with the image sizing feature of Lightroom 4.3. In working with a batch of RAW files that I am exporting as JPEGS, I want to resize some down to a smaller size yet I do not want to make the images that are already smaller than my target dimension larger, I find that Lightroom resizes everything to the dimensions I have specified. This happens even when I check the “Do Not Enlarge” box. For example, if I am exporting 100 images in a photo set of which 90 images are 5555 pixels on the long end and 10 images are 3333 pixels on the long end and I specify that I want to resize to a dimension of 4444 px, Lightroom will resize all 100 images to 4444 px, even when I have checked the “Do Not Enlarge box”. What I want Lightroom to do is resize the 5555 px images to 4444 px, but export the smaller images in their original 3333 pixel size. I thought by checking “Do Not Enlarge” the files smaller than my resize dimension, would remain smaller. However, I have recently noticed that all the images are being resized, even the smaller ones despite me checking “Do Not Enlarge”.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have looked on the web and in some books I have and I don't understand the purpose for turning panels on and off or what it does. I see that the features are unusable when they are off. I understand why I would want to hide a panel.
Does it turn off any changes I made using that certain panel? What does it do?
My side panels (Navigator on the Left, Histogram on the right) have gotten larger since I restarted my laptop. It's really interfereing with my ability to edit because there's so little screen space left. I've tried everything I can think of, and they're still too big on either side.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I place my mouse over the the left edge of the right side panel I get <---> which is good then I try to drag to make the panel wider and it does not work. I can shrink the panel but not expand it.
In any module this is how it works. I also tried using the alt key (PC) to drag it wider but no go. You should be able to use just the <--> to expand.
I know in other versions of LR I could make the panel very wide but no longer, it only goes wide to a certain point that won't go any further cutting off the last few remaing characters on the far right side of the panel.
