After Effects :: Text Not Showing Up Properly?
Jun 22, 2013I want to do some text animations. However, when I place in my text layer and type in my text it comes up a a bunch of black blocks, as per my screen shot.

AutoCAD 2013 :: True Text Font Not Showing Up Properly
Sep 26, 2013I installed acad 2014 and copied all my font files into the directory that cad says it looks in under the support paths, and the main font used is a true text font (penguin) and it is not showing up right.

After Effects :: CC Not Rendering Properly
Jul 3, 2013So today I was editing and I finished, so I tried to render it so I can have in a .avi. But once I rendered it I got no errors or nothing. So I went to the desktop were it should have been placed, I loaded it and it didn't render properly after a couple of secs the music stops playing and I didn't get the glow effects or the full edit. How do I fix this tell me if you need sertain information.

Jan 8, 2014I have alingment style components set to various layers, where I control their plot and view style. After years of successful control, recently I found that I the viewports are not displaying the layers correctly pertaining to the sytle. For example, I have line & curve components set to a layer C-Road-Cl and all properties by layer. Then in various viewports throughout the project, I'll set viewport overrides to control color and plotsytle of those components.
Today, I found that the C-Road-Cl layer will not control the view of the components or the plotsytle, and that the objects are only being controlled by the layer that the object is on. But, this does not relate to Object Layers Drawing Settings, as I have the "immediate and independent layer on/off...." box unchecked. Further, nothing seems to affect the color of the object in the viewport.
After further research, I found that the a completely different layer is controlling the viewport display of the "line & curve" components (C-Road-Stan) and the alignment object layer is controlling the plotstyle.

I'm trying to move from windows and photoshop to linux and gimp as my only an primary os and tool in case of gimp. I mean is there any other way especially for stuff like dropshadow, stroke and stuff like that? I mean i can think of several possible solutions but all of them just seems so slow it makes me want to go back to windows and adobe products.

After Effects :: 3D AI Layer Won't Continuously Rasterize Properly
Jul 29, 2011How come some AI Files I use in a comp, that has the continuosly raterize option checked, becomes soft when the 3d layer option is also checked?
The AI object looks slightly unsharp until I click continuously raterize, then it is good to go to scale anyway I want. But it get blurry again if I click the 3D Layer option.
Note that this blurring takes place whether there is a camera or not in the composition and that nothing is animated so it can't be a motion blur issue.
After Effects :: Cineware Not Translating Emitters Properly?
Jul 7, 2013In After Effects, using Cineware, the particles from my emitters aren't properly making it in to After Effects.For example, here's frame 40 in Cinema 4D:
Now, here's that same frame in After Effects.Both the C4D and AE files are using the same frame rate (24). And if I keep playing the AE timeline, it does add more particles, but nowhere near like it is in the actual C4D file.For reference, I'm running Cinema 4D Studio R14 and AE CC.
Premiere Pro :: Audio Effects Not Exporting Properly
Feb 6, 2014I'm working with the denoiser filter cleaning up some audio in an interview. In the timeline the audio sounds clean but on the export certain clips revert to their non-denoised state. It seems to happen with the same couple clips and I have tried unlinking and relinking the media, outputting audio only, outputting just pieces of the timeline and, of course, restarting my machine. There are lots of other clips in the timeline using the same filter and they sound fine

Feb 28, 2013Layer effects are enabled for the affected layers and the layers show the stroke effect active on the shapes, in a colour and size that would be very visible.

Jul 24, 2012When I go to filter -> render -> lighting effects it seems to pop up some kind of options pane for maybe a quarter second while it's thinking, but once it's done all it does is create a duplicate layer called "lighting effects". I never actually see the options.
I've updated my drivers, and I just installed cs6 today, without importing any of my old settings from before.

Oct 18, 2012The Lighting effects in CS6 are really nice but im having some difficulty with scaling the lights.
When you mouse over the handles on the lighting area, a small tool tip appears to say "scale width, scale length, rotate, move" The thing is I am having a nightmare to get "scale width, scale length" to show up.
I have to mouse over, twiddle about, wait, move the mouse away, shake it etc before finally it decides to show "scale length" It seems like the 'hot zone' for move & rotate is large but scale is just one invisible pixel you have to search around for.

Oct 27, 2013what I'm currently trying to do in After Effects I need to be able to see "left", "right" and "both" channels...but all I see is a single wav form even though it's an mp3. The tutorial I'm following uses an mp3 and gets those channels so I'm not sure why I'm getting different results (see pic).

I can't move or do anything with the light. It's just stuck! I've looked at other screens of people using lighting effects and there's (obviously) supposed to be some sort of on screen controls. And for some odd reason mine aren't showing up. I've been having this issue for days now and I'm not sure why it's not working. Also, I'm using Windows 7. In addition, my alignment buttons seem to always be greyed out, or "unclickable".
After Effects :: Artifacts Showing Up In Render Video Possibly Too Intense?
Nov 12, 2013I'm making a hybrid between machinima and an "MLG parody".
h264, 720p, 30fps - Eventually going on youtube.
The setting is basically a "box" of gameplay videos with the scene inside. One wall is visible in the screenshot, there are 10 total 3d models within a fast moving 30second time frame littered with Trapcode Form, Element 3D animations, and greenscreens.
My issue begins with a fast moving camera which pans around the character below as he animates in from a green orb. Obviously the bitrate is through the roof, artifacts appear and slowly go away after the camera stops (screenshot below). I can smooth the camera out and add motion blur, but things seem pixelated even when the camera is still.
The artifacts slowly disappear, but another problem arises with a Trapcode Form blob below; The blob also has artifacts, probably the result of a massive bitrate from a combination of things - would the background videos be a serious cause of this?
After Effects :: Transparent Smoke Text After Effects CS5.5
Feb 27, 2014I've made a fabulous Smoke Text effect that I then insert the .mov file into Final Cut Pro. The smoke effect I downloaded from the tutorial has a black background and therefore when rendered out, it's a basic white text against a black background. Once in FCP, I have to turn the file's opacity down in order for it to layer over a video file and not black out what I layer over it.
How can I make the file transparent? A simple toggle of the transparency grid isn't going to do it. I need to make or find a video of smoke that is transparent?
After Effects :: Editable Rectangles Of Still Photos In Composition Panel Suddenly Stopped Showing Up
Feb 4, 2014I am relatively new to After Effects CC and am using it to create a stop motion film with a large amount of photos.Usually, when importing the individual images into my composition panel, a sequence of editable rectangles appears in the composition panel allowing me to edit the frame length of the still photos.
After around 950 imported images, the little rectangles suddenly stopped showing up. But when looking at a preview of the project, it's as if the photos are in there, in the sequence they should be. I'm just unable to edit them like the previous ones with rectangles showing.
The area of issue is where you see the descending sequence of boxes in the comp panel. The red tracking bar is there to show that there are still photos continuing the sequence.

Aug 24, 2013I’m trying to add some text effects over my video, but I’m really stuck right now getting After Effects and Adobe Premier to work together.
From the tutorials I’ve watched online, I’ve been trying to create a dynamic link between the two programs so I could easily create texts and other effects in AE that immediately show up on my timeline in Premier. I've been able to create texts, but whatever I create in AE is not showing up on the Premier timeline. Am I missing a step? Also, when I load up my sequence into AE, all of the color correcting that I’ve done with Looks inside Premier goes away, and the clips appear as they did right out of the camera.

Oct 20, 2011When i mark Text/Dimension/Multileader and such in autocad 2011 LT, i get an issue, which i have tried to shown on the picture.The problem is that when i mark them, they show the current size they have, plus any other size they have had (Annotation it seems).
I Make a dimension. The overall annotation scale is 1:10. Now i change the overall annotation scale to 1:100. Then i set the overall annotation scale back to 1:10, i click my dimension, and it now shows how it currently looks, plus how it looked when the annotation scale was 1:100. This way i end up with every text object showing up 5 times when i mark them.
Illustrator :: Extra Text Showing When Paste Text
Oct 1, 2012In the past day I have run into a problem whenever I copy and paste any text inside Illustartor CS6. If I copy text from outside Illustator and paste in a file, everything is ok. But if I copy text from inside an AI file and paste into another AI file or to the same file, I get a bunch of extra text that gets displayed before the pasted text. In the example below I copied and pasted the text "This is a test" within the same AI file, and got the a bunch of information above the text.
