Paint.NET :: Make Layout For A Site That Requires Height In File Name
Jul 19, 2011
I'm trying to make a layout for a site that requires the height in the file name.So I was wondering if paint.net had a function similar to this picture (photoshop) or is there any other way to measure height?
When i open my psd file it says that the some text layers might need to be update. When i press the update button i get the message "Selected font failed during last operation. If problem persists, please disable the font". If i click "no" the file opens, but all text layers has a exclamation mark and a tooltip that says "font is present on system but requires a layout change"
I have create the PSD file using the trail version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 (downloaded from adobe.com). That trail has expired so i have just purhased Photosop CS 6 (from adobe.com). Before installing the version i purhased, i uninstalled the trail version.
I dont understand this. It the same computer and the font is a system font that comes with the OS (Windows). I cannot create any new text layers.
If a create a new PSD file i get the same message ""Selected font failed during last operation. If problem persists, please disable the font" when ever i try create a text layer.I have installed all updates.
I have changed the model to show new areas and coloured them in. They show up on the Model, but not on the set up Site Layout that you print. I can highlight part for the drawing and it will print with the changes. However, if I require the whole drawing the Site Layout prints without the changes. What do I need to do?
Have a site plan and about to make a revision to building layout, storm, sanitary, parking layout. Have a project folder, with Drawings subfolder, and then subfolder for Model Files and Sheet Files. How do most go about archiving the original drawings without affecting shortcuts and xrefs.

I am trying to import an updated phase (shown in yellow) into an existing site layout (grey) however I cannot get it to rotate round and fit correctly. I imagine it will involve using the rotate command and reference.
When I am working on several drawngs at the same time, I use the Publish command to plot them as a group. However to save the settings as a DSD file for future use, every open file needs to be saved. Why is this? Is there a way to disable that requirement?
There is no reason I can think of besides "by design" for this. The DSD file is only a list of drawings and their plot settings and is not dpendent in any way I can think of, to whether or not one its drawings is open and not saved.
I would like to know if it is possible to do a logo that can be uploaded to a web cms site like Joomla. [1] what format is required [2] what size should it be.
There's no way to get back to the regular paint.net site from the documentation. On the banner at the top, you can hover your cursor over the "paint.net" part of "paint.net documentation" but it takes you back to the documentation. So without manually going back to the site, there's no way through the site's GUI to get there. So it's a small gripe, but it's also easily fixed.
I'm building a flash site and i'm trying to make that nice smooth and rounded outline (just a simple dark grey line with rounded edges) to put in the background
I cannot seem to do this! I feel very stupid, as i'm not actually bad with photoshop. I've made a 750x450 photoshop file and just cant get it to look nice.
Does someone have a simple method for this? How can i do it to the very maximum size that will fit on the 750 450 doc?
the perfect example is of the main flash part of the macroedia site here here
I have a dynamic block of some door hinges. Depending on the height of the door, depends on the type & quantity of hinges used. I was wondering if it is possible to have a block that detects height? If I insert the hinge block onto my drawing, and snap the base point of the block to the bottom left of the desired door, stretch the pick point to the top, I would like it to automatically change from 2x small hinges (for doors under 312mm high), to 2x large hinges (for doors under 1000mm), and finally to 3x large hinges (for doors over 1000mm)?
I have attached a PDF for visual reference to what I'm talking about.
I found this script that makes the selected objects the same width AND height. I am very new to creating scripts. is it possible to modify this to make an object the same width leaving their heights the same?
mySelection = activeDocument.selection; if (mySelection.length>0){ if (mySelection instanceof Array) { goal=mySelection[mySelection.length-1]; for (i=0; i<(mySelection.length-1); i++){
here is the screen shot of the PSD which i converted into HTML. It is done with Slice select too. and i got this kind of error in output. so i want a way by which i can transform my psd designs the same way they look in to working website. the template goes other places
I’ve been using PAINT.NET, for a long time now.Today, I’ve created an account in the Forum, because I would like to ask, if possible and desirable for the Developers and the program Users, the following:
- make the default Tool - Rectangle Select;
- make the default save file type - JPEG (*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.jpe;*.jfif);
- allow the users to change the default workspace background color (now, Hex: #C9D3E2);
I have read the Rules and the FAQ.To finish I just would like to congratulate all of you, that have given us this fantastic piece of software (and for free)! I believe it’s the best freeware software available, counting all types for software/utilities/add-ons, etc.
I'm on iMac, in photoshop cc. I go to 3D--Get More Content---I download the materials file from the adobe site and it's a .zxp file and I don't know how to load it to photoshop.
Basically I want to create a heightmap from a colormap (a game texture). Heightmaps are used by my shader to add additional detail to surfaces (see herefor a such a surface). This technique is called Relief Bump Mapping and produces pretty cool result if the shader gets a decent heightmap.
My problem is that I only have colormaps and want to create the heightmaps in Paint.Net. So far I simply played around with the contrast and and brightness of the picture, but the results are not perfect...
I uploaded some scaled down pictures which illustrate my problem a bit better:
This is my colormap texture:
If I am using my technique (changing contrasts and brightness) I don't get good results.
The red parts show the most problematic zones of the heightmaps. Since black means no height and white means height, these regions don't contain any height informations...I already thought about using a edgre filter, but the built in one doesn't seem to be very good.
a civil engineer sent us a .dwg file for a site survey. However, the .dwg contours are just showing up as a series of overlapping rectangles. He attached two .txt files, one for elevation point locations, the other for tree locations. Both give coordinates... i.e. :452,2718.7202,2509.7896,569.4979,GL etc. I know that the .txt file is giving locations, but I do not know how to generate plines etc. from the given coordinates in the .txt file. I downloaded ascponit.lsp, but i'm not sure if this is meant for this...
I have been working on a fairly simple website for a few months now using Website Creator X6. Everything was working well every time I tested the site internally. Now all of a sudden, the program is telling me the NOD file is damaged and that it cannot be recovered. I then get a message directing me to read "recover.txt" in the Website Creator directory for "alternative" ways of recovering the data.
The problem is, "recover.txt" doesn't exist.
I have tried importing the internally published pages to recreate the site, but Creator tells me the pages are "too large."
It also appears that Creator stopped creating backups of the NOD file.
How am I to recover this data so I can publish the site online? How could the NOD file have become corrupted in the first place? (I frequently got messages that the file was corrupted when I loaded it, but Website Creator always recovered it.)
I'm running PSPX3. the effect of no compression (or compression factor = 1) on saving files. I've got a JPEG image file straight from my camera that's approximately 4.1MB in size. If I do nothing else but "Save As" with a compression factor of 1, the new file size is approximately 50% larger, or 6.2MB. What has changed to make the file size larger? Both images are still 72DPI, 3648X2736px. I can't image that I have done anything to "improve" image quality, so why did the file size increase?
I want to put a counter on my site, to keep track of foot traffic and I was curious can I download ones and use them on my site or am I going to have to make one? I would actually like to make one looking something like this...
A little differnt to work for my purpose, but does any one know how I would go about making a counter or am I better or using one that someone has already made?
I am trying to create a script (that I can run on a batch of images) that will resize the images to a set width but will maintain the proper aspect ratio of the images. There are many images and they are all different dimensions.
I want to resize them for webpages to a standard width (300) and have the height be automatically adjusted to the new width (proper aspect ratio).
When I try to create the script, it automatically uses the aspect ratio height of the image that was used to create the script.
When it runs on additional images it automatically sets their height to the height of the first image (used to create the script). As all of the images have different dimensions, the end result is wrong.
Is there a way to write the script so that it will maintain the proper aspect ratio of multiple images, all with different dimensions?
Our company logo exists as an outlined .eps file. Wouldn't I simply send the logo to the printer and have them resize it as needed? How do you set up a file with no height designation?
