Jan 29, 2012I wonder if PaGD7 could be used for a short, letter-sized 48 page grayscale booklet with two column text and images on nearly every page (at 300DPI) and multiple fonts. Can the software handle this or I would be asking too much out of it?
I seem unable to find an automatic page numbering option, which would be necessary for a print publication. All other needed functions, including accurate kerning and baseline controls are there. I found some old mentions of auto page numbering in old threads but no positive answer. It would be a nice feature to have, assuming the program can handle such filesizes.

May 28, 2012In a layout for an ebook I have some important black and white bitmap illustrations in tiff., 300 dpi. These have appeared ok on print, but on screen, reading the same pdf-file, they're unacceptable, especially some texts in fontsize 5-6 pt are unclear. I have to convert the drawings, or at least the texts, to vector graphics. Can I open these tiff.s in Photoshop, change only the texts to vector graphics and then save in a format, that can be inserted in the Word2010 layout?

The photo moves from left to right in the video so whatever change I make has to move with it. In fact there are a few photos in which I need to do the same, and the jars are at different locations and angles. 2 - Also, at the botton of the pic, below the white line I need to put another word to cover "MICA BELLA" and I'm wondering how best to copy the color scheme across the lettering. I do not know how the original was created.

May 23, 2006I get Photoshop 9.01 CS2. My CPU is AMD 2500+ running 2.4 Ghz and i get 1 Gb of RAM.
If i draw a line with a small angle, like 3 or 4 degrees, the result lookslike a STAIRCASE! A staircase with small steps!
I observe that Photoshop have a tendancy to make straight line so when i do my angle it does a very small staircase.
Why is that? CPU is slow ( do not think so; runnuing 2.4 Ghz) My mouse is not precise?

Apr 17, 2013Is it possible to have a dynamic block with text which, when inserted into a drawing, will show the text orientation matched to the layout? I have a non-dynamic block which is simply a donut and a piece of text. When I insert it into a drawing, the text orientation will change to suit the orientation of the layout. I created another block with the same entities but I also added a couple of lines extending out from the center of the donut. I added stretch and rotation actions in order to rotate and stretch the lines. I also gave the block visibility states so that either one or two lines would appear (the block is a utility pole,by the way, with the lines representing guy wires). When I insert the dynamic block into a drawing, I cannot get the text to match the orientation of the viewport. I've tried changing different combinations of settings but the text won't appear horizontal.
The two blocks I mentioned above are inserted into one file with a number of other blocks. When I check the properties of the non-dynamic block, the "match orientation" is set to YES. I cannot, however, change the "match to orientation" setting to YES on the dynamic block. Is this simply because it is a dynamic block or am I missing something? I don't create a lot of dynamic blocks and therefore I am not a wizard at it so I am assuming I am doing something wrong.

Nov 6, 2013I've got a number of multi-line text elements in my document and I want to decorate them with some icons that further describe the content. If I can find a font that contains all the icons I need, it's pretty simple. I just add the glyphs from that font in the normal text flow. Maybe change their colour.

But what if I can't find a font and need to use other graphics sources for the icons? They're not in the text flow and I'd need to align them to the font baseline by hand, and update it whenever I change the text length or font size.

I'm looking for a way to insert a graphic directly in the text flow, much like adding an image inline in MS Word or HTML. Maybe it will be necessary to adjust the graphic size or the vertical alignment a bit, too.

Mar 8, 2014Using InDesign CC, I want to wrap text around a graphic that is anchored into the paragraph. I'm able to do this if the graphic is anchored into the left side of the paragraph by choosing Inline or Above Line and adjusting the Y distance.
However, I need to anchor the graphic on the right side of the paragraph so that the right edge of the graphic aligns to the right edge of the paragraph, as shown below. Is that possible?
