View 13 Replies View RelatedAfter some unknown action on my part eps export started replacing Arial Bold text with Courier characters using Arial font spacing. The Corel Draw view shows Arial Bold text and identifies it as such in the top button bar. When I looked at the text properties docker it was completely blank, absolutely nothing visible at all.
I can select the Artistic and Paragrah text default properties in the Object Styles Docker, but the similar information about character, paragraph, and frame that I used to have in the text properties docker is now just a grey empty panel.
I have done one reinstall without removing user files. Thet did not change anything. I have done another reinstall after removing also all user files in the uninstall. Still got an empty text properties docker but the eps export now works correctly.
how to get back the furniture that used to be in the Text Properties Docker?

Neither Ctrl+F6 nor selecting from Menu will get Color Styles docker to show up.
Rt Clk a selection offers Color Styles>New from Selection... but when dialog is OKed, no Color Styles docker(?).
I would like a method of overlaying a text block on a picture and have the text change to a different (most contrasting) colour so that it stays readable. Is this possible - maybe with a Boolean function? If so how do I do it.

The only problem i'm having is setting tabs for styles. The only way i have found to do it so far is to set up a paragraph text box the way i want it and use 'Copy Properties From...' Is there a simple way to edit a text style's tab settings?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a Corel Draw template (*.cdt). Everything was working well until, for some unknown reason, the text direction for Artistic Text and Paragraph Text (and all Bullet styles) switched to right-to-left. I do not recall doing anything to cause this.
Also, the only place that I can find the text direction option is in the Text > Options > Guidelines > Styles > Edit button for fonts > Paragraph Tab (in Format Text dialog box). The text direction shows Right-to-Left and it is grayed out - not available!
My system is Hebrew enabled and Hebrew is a right-to-left language. However, I do not use and have never used Hebrew in any form in CorelDraw.
Also, there is no information at all in the User's Guide or on-line help.The words "direction" and "text" do not appear together.
2 questions:
The important one - How can I access the text direction property?
The less important one - What could I have inadvertently done to change the text direction from L-2-R to R-2-L?
Problem with text styles: I have a big body of text, with several styles applied. The problem is, editing one of the styles does not affect the text that has this style applied to it. Changing the style or creating a new style does not work - it's like these particular parts of text are immune to editing the style. It works only when I select the text and manually apply the style. Further editing the style does not affect this text, I have to manually select it and apply the style again.

I JUST installed v X6 and off to my first problem within 10 minutes.Â
The old menu in X5 used to have a docker called "Graphic and Text" which is no longer available in X6. After some research, it looks like the "apply a style or style set to an object" is the way to go, HOWEVER if I right click on the text as suggested to find the "Object Styles" menu, the sub menu is a blank little rectangle that won't display the menu items.
How to copy a style to a menu and then apply it as well in X6?
I'm trying to wrap an image around a curved object. This is a front elevation of a sign I am attempting to render and the sign wraps around a pole. What I am attempting to do is not just "squeeze" the copy but actually attempt to show what the image will look like if you are looking directly at it which means that the closest portion of the image will look normal but as you look further out towards the edges then the graphic and copy would appear to merge and disappear backwards. I hope I am explaining this well. Â I am trying to wrap my brain around this concept. I know you can do this in photoshop with stretching but cannot fathom how I can attempt this in CorelDraw or Illustrator.

These have appeared ok on print, but on screen, reading the same pdf-file, they're unacceptable, especially some texts in fontsize 5-6 pt are unclear. I have to convert the drawings, or at least the texts, to vector graphics. Can I open these tiff.s in Photoshop, change only the texts to vector graphics and then save in a format, that can be inserted in the Word2010 layout?

I can go through and reset all the styles, then re-apply them, but it wastes a lot of time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering why Batang and Arial were appearing in the Fonts under Document Properties when I had not actively used them in my "New" document.
When I looked at the Default text files, I believe I see the reason. I find Batang listed as the default Asian Text font for both Artistic and Paragragh Text. The options for Asian Text don't seem to include any fonts that I have on the old machines.
Similarly, the Middle East Default Text style would seem to generate the Arial(Arabic) entry in the required fonts.
Is there a way to completely eliminate the default Asian Text and Middle East entries from the default text styles?

If I can find a font that contains all the icons I need, it's pretty simple. I just add the glyphs from that font in the normal text flow. Maybe change their colour.

But what if I can't find a font and need to use other graphics sources for the icons? They're not in the text flow and I'd need to align them to the font baseline by hand, and update it whenever I change the text length or font size.

How can I do that in Illustrator CS6/Windows?
Using InDesign CC, I want to wrap text around a graphic that is anchored into the paragraph. I'm able to do this if the graphic is anchored into the left side of the paragraph by choosing Inline or Above Line and adjusting the Y distance.
However, I need to anchor the graphic on the right side of the paragraph so that the right edge of the graphic aligns to the right edge of the paragraph, as shown below. Is that possible?
My boss is using CorelDraw x5 on a Dell Studio lappy w/ win7 x64, his question is... If you accidentally stretch text and don't realize it till later is it given a value that can be compared to other text so you can conform it to the rest of the text? Is this a tool or what? The scenario is you accidentally stretch text minutely, save the file, copy and paste this text to another file with same format to realize later it has been manipulated and doesn't match.

In all these documents, if I open the text paragraph window and typed on it, the entire program will crash if I exit that window after finishing.
I discovered that if I typed directly on the text paragraph, it will not crash. That means do not open the text paragraph window to do editing. But this makes editing very slow since it seems to be more memory intensive.
Strange the auto-backup directory/folder always do not have my backup files too.
