Neither Ctrl+F6 nor selecting from Menu will get Color Styles docker to show up.
Rt Clk a selection offers Color Styles>New from Selection... but when dialog is OKed, no Color Styles docker(?).
how to sort (alphabetically, for instance) the Graphic and Text styles in the Graphic and Text Docker? I need the styles "Roads-county", "Roads-State" & "Roads-US" near each other and "apples" listed first.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been using CorelDRAW X6 for a bit now (upgraded from X5), and I've noticed a few caveats so far.
1. Align nodes
When trying to align nodes, there seems to be some interesting behavior for alignment. When shift + clicking directly on the nodes, and then selecting Align nodes and performing an align operation (such as Horizontal), the nodes will all align to the last one selected.
However, if you perform the same operation, and marquee select each node individually, then it will always align to the same node. It doesn't seem to matter on which order you do it in.
Steps to reproduce on my end:- Open a new CorelDRAW X6 document- Draw a new object using the Freehand tool with multiple node points- Edit the shape using the Shape tool- Select multiple nodes by holding Shift+dragging around the nodes- Align nodes, see which node it aligns to- Undo Align nodes, redo the same selection but different order- Align nodes, should align back to the same node regardless of the order
Is this to be expected? In CorelDRAW X5 it seems to go to the last node selected, regardless of marquee selection or click selection, unless this behavior was changed for some particular reason. Would just like to know if it's just me doing something wrong here.
2. Color docker
For the Color docker, there seems to be an issue that is mostly cosmetic, but it is noticeable. When the Color docker is open and docked, switching from a palette to color viewers resizes the palette on reselect.
Steps to reproduce on my end:- Open CorelDRAW X6, start a new document, enable the Color docker and dock it- Switch to a Palette (such as Pantone)- Restart CorelDRAW X6 to ensure that it is properly sized, and start a new document- In the Color docker, select another tab, such as the Show color viewers- Select back the Palette. All of the boxes should be oversized and the whole docker should now be larger than normal- Restart CorelDRAW X6 and it will return to normal until another tab is selected again.
One last thing about the Color docker. Is there any reason in particular that the Eyedropper Tool from the left hand menu is discrete? I realize that an Eyedropper tool has been added to the Color docker (threw me off initially), and that only seems to change the color within the docker, but it would be nice to have the same options from before with the main Eyedropper tool (1, 2x2, 5x5, etc) that was available before.
Note: I am using CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 6.1 (CorelDRAW version 16.1.0.843) 64-bit.
To create 2-color artwork from any colored vector clipart I used to be able to:
import colored clipart convert to CMYK if needed select entire graphic and create new styles with 2 parents change (edit) the colored parent to a named Pantone spot color (the child colors automatically become percentages of the Pantone spot color) "find and change" the remaining CMYK to Grayscale, and then back to CMYK (this ignors the spot color and converts the annoying rich blacks to percentages of K) export to a PDF file--which when imported into, say, InDesign, will separate on the K and Spot Color Plates only, in all its glorious shades of gray and tints of Pantone spot color.
I'm completely at a loss on how to do this in X6, and I'm on a short deadline.
I'm just checking back in to see any updates on how to quickly and easily clear all color styles in a document. I've tried the following:
Os's nifty color styles patch (comes with recentfilesDecBeta macro)
saving as CMX (that bites because it converts underscores to objects and other mean things)
manually (takes too long and sometimes replaces colors in current document then save settings as default (I not like this).
Now that SP2 is out and we can delete all in one sweep, is it possible to create a macro that would automatically delete all color styles as soon as any file is open? I never use that feature and would gladly pay for such a macro.

Default style set is ok and Styles is also ok to create our own but Why this nuisance of style sets which are having a lot of dump. Truly view manager is unnecessary docker i think but have lots of zoomed data.

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I select some objects (could be in same layer or in diff layers), then go to lens docker and apply a 50% transparency, the areas of all the objects are changed to greyscale.
I can use the transparency tool and drag across for multiple objects and the transparency works great, but when i want to apply the same transparency to the whole thing (using the layer docker), it messes up.
... and when you go Ctrl-z to undo the changes, the lens docker doesn't update it's value to suit what the transparency has been undone to... so it's all whacked up.
I'm so sick of posting bugs. It feels like the functionality isn't tested very well at all.
One Question:
I noticed that in CDX4 under the tranformations docker we had the "apply to duplicate" feature under the rotate option. However, I do not see it in CDX5.
Is this a change that was made to CDX5? Or am I missing something when I loaded CDX5 to my computer?
I have just switched from X5 to X6. I am almost convinced that before, when I made a change on for instance an objects size in the Transformations docker, I then pressed Enter, and that was the same as using the mouse and clicking Apply. This doesn't work in X6, I have to lift my hand and use the mouse. Is there a way to fix this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter some unknown action on my part eps export started replacing Arial Bold text with Courier characters using Arial font spacing. The Corel Draw view shows Arial Bold text and identifies it as such in the top button bar. When I looked at the text properties docker it was completely blank, absolutely nothing visible at all.
I can select the Artistic and Paragrah text default properties in the Object Styles Docker, but the similar information about character, paragraph, and frame that I used to have in the text properties docker is now just a grey empty panel.
I have done one reinstall without removing user files. Thet did not change anything. I have done another reinstall after removing also all user files in the uninstall. Still got an empty text properties docker but the eps export now works correctly.

After installing the latest patch, I read that ... "You can press Enter to apply transformations from the Transformations docker".
Here's my issue...when I draw a box as shown, I try to do a "PROPORTIONAL" size change by using the 'enter' key. No luck. I then try to do a 'non-proportional scale', it works fine.
I have created a custom docker and I need to find a way to have the docker refresh when the document.save event is fired. The docker retrieves custom document properties saved within the file and displays the vales in the docker. I have it currently set to update when i switch between documents or when the document is closed, the docker is cleared of all the values. I still , to this day, can not figure out how to refresh automatically after I save a document.

The Join Curves docker seems like a handy tool, unfortunately following the directions yields no change--I can't get it to do anything at all. Is this a known issue? I have X5 with the latest SP, just installed a few days ago.

In the object colour docker how to I type in the Pantone number I want to use like I was able to do in X3 and X5? I cannot find anywhere I can do this now in X6. It just shows me this:
I am having trouble with some of the dockers. Some of them when i go to window dockers and click on them come up just fine, but there are a few and don't come up at all. Like Contour or Text Properties.

I have Corel DRAW Home & Student Suite X5. It appears not to include the Docker "Object Coordinates" although both the video and Help files include prescriptions for using it.Corel Support insist that this docker is present in this edition of X5 and instruct me to reset the application defaults (F8).F8 does not reveal the missing docker, nor does a complete uninstall/reinstall. It seems to me that "Object Coordinates actually is NOT there.

I know there is a macro that converts symbols to objects but the macro does not affect this part the document that has ANOTHER set of Symbols....know what I mean? Maybe a macro that digs and wipes out all symbols in the docker?
It takes a REALLY long time just to delete them one by one...even multi-selecting did not work.
