I am trying to import an updated phase (shown in yellow) into an existing site layout (grey) however I cannot get it to rotate round and fit correctly. I imagine it will involve using the rotate command and reference.
View 4 RepliesI have been working on a fairly simple website for a few months now using Website Creator X6. Everything was working well every time I tested the site internally. Now all of a sudden, the program is telling me the NOD file is damaged and that it cannot be recovered. I then get a message directing me to read "recover.txt" in the Website Creator directory for "alternative" ways of recovering the data.
The problem is, "recover.txt" doesn't exist.
I have tried importing the internally published pages to recreate the site, but Creator tells me the pages are "too large."
It also appears that Creator stopped creating backups of the NOD file.
How am I to recover this data so I can publish the site online? How could the NOD file have become corrupted in the first place? (I frequently got messages that the file was corrupted when I loaded it, but Website Creator always recovered it.)
the situtation is splitting a floor face in the exiting phase to "paint" the floor tile pattern in the existing restrooms and then removing that once in the new phase and resplitting to "paint" the new pattern...
is it possible to split a floor face in existing phase, paint it, then move to new face and un-split and paint it to create a new split and new paint?
Is there a way to demolish (new construction) an opening into a wall that is an existing phase (existing wall)?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble having objects set to 'Phase Created' = Existing to show a desired material. They are all a dark grey.
I have gone into 'Manage', and "Phases" under 'Phasing', and under the tab, 'Graphic Overrides', changed 'Material' for 'Existing to "Phase - New". But this did not change anything.
Where else does this get changed?

I have changed the model to show new areas and coloured them in. They show up on the Model, but not on the set up Site Layout that you print. I can highlight part for the drawing and it will print with the changes. However, if I require the whole drawing the Site Layout prints without the changes. What do I need to do?

Have a project folder, with Drawings subfolder, and then subfolder for Model Files and Sheet Files. How do most go about archiving the original drawings without affecting shortcuts and xrefs.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am currently using the visual style "Wireframe" and cannot seem to figure out why my lines won't plot out as dashed lines even though they are dashed in my layout. I have been playing around with my LTSCALE,PSLTSCALE but nothing seems to be working.
Current Visual Style Setting (WireFrame):

I have another question: My lineweights are shown in model space but not in layout. When I print/plot the line weights are missing.
How do I show the line weights in layout so it prints right?

I've worked with LDD for 11 yrs. Last week the IT guys changed my PC to Windows 7 64bit, so I can't have LDD and I have to work with C3D. so I am following software tutorials.
for designing a road I created:
alignment ---> surface profile ---> layout profile (project line) ---> assembly ---> subassemblies ---> corridor ---> set target surface and frequencies
Corridor is created with daylights ,but I don't see existing ground in corridor section editor.
There is nothing about this in tutorial. Also I don't know how to calculate the volumes, in LDD after this stage we could calculate the volumes. i think in C3D I should do more for calculation.
Had an electrical storm and there was a power surge the moment I was saving my completed drawing. Yes, it was perfect timing and yes, I have a power backup. Now titleblock is shown in model space and completed drawings are only shown when scrolling over layout tabs. When I click on the layout tabs only the titleblock shows up. Is there anyway of retrieving the drawings to send back to model space or get them to appear in the layout tabs when shown on the full screen? Are those layout tabs just showing what the drawings used to look like and there is no way of getting to them back?

a civil engineer sent us a .dwg file for a site survey. However, the .dwg contours are just showing up as a series of overlapping rectangles. He attached two .txt files, one for elevation point locations, the other for tree locations. Both give coordinates... i.e. :452,2718.7202,2509.7896,569.4979,GL etc. I know that the .txt file is giving locations, but I do not know how to generate plines etc. from the given coordinates in the .txt file. I downloaded ascponit.lsp, but i'm not sure if this is meant for this...
I'm using AutoCAD 2008.
There are two things in Autocad i can't figure out how to do effectively:
A) I want to create a copy of an existing layout, which i can do easily. However is there a way to make 30 copies without doing each one manually?
B) I have all my layouts set up the same way. Now i want to change all my 30 layouts in the page setup manager to print A4 instead of A3, and to print Landscape instead of Portrait.
Can these be done? Perhaps with some repeat scripts or something?
When I create drawings, I generally have quite a few layout tabs. Also, thse tabs are numbered 1 through to N. On many occasions, a revision or addition may be necessary and it may have to be inserted in between two existing tabs. Doing so is not a problem, however, keeping the numbering sequence in order without having to rename every tab in that file is a problem.

The Sheet Set Manager (SSM) seems to import the layout tabs in random order, not in the order they appear on the drawing, nor in alphabetical or numerical order. In addition, the SSM imports and numbers all of my drawings in reverse order. Any system variable setting, or some other property setting somewhere that will change this back to ascending order?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI use Lightroom 2.2 to import and convert RAW photos from my Panasonic Lumix LX3 to DNG files. Works great except for one thing:
If I shot a photo using the LX3's 'Black and White Dynamic' preset, Lightroom imports it and a few seconds later, the photo becomes colored (really yellow) instead of remaining black and white.
That's weird since I don't use any Lightroom preset when importing these photos. It seems like Lightroom is applying some type of auto-correction to these photos.
Is there a way to get several pages of existing text from a word processing or page layout program to flow into corresponding pages in Lightroom?

Any object set to plot grey (any grey), that is in paper space, is plotting black only in one of my layouts. similar objects in model space and in both spaces on other layouts are all plotting accordingly.

I created a template, AFTER the drawing was created, and would like the drawing to HAVE that template.
I need to twick my lisp routine (attached) to run it without asking.This lisp asks if I want to "Update" or/and "Import," while I have a source dwg. and I want to: (Update and Import).
so how to remove asking and just run the command? I need that routine to assing to a button in OpenDCL project (I think I know how to do that thogh),
When I import a layout from template it takes about 5-10 min of ACA not responding before it will actually import the layout from my template file. It will do this on any new file the first time and then it will work just fine after that. This was happening with ACA 2013 and now with 2014.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a bunch (hundreds, so manual input not an option) of X,Y points without elevation data that I would like to import into a DWG and assign an elevation that is based on an existing surface object. Is there a way to do this for a point file? The command for inserting individual points would be the "Create points - Surface > Random" but I don't see a way to do this in a batch type method where i have my PNE formatted input file to just move the points to sit on the existing surface.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using Bridge for a bunch of years. I have a large amount of photos. They are all keyword in Bridge. I've created a hierarchy of keyword that works quite well and evolve naturally.I have approx 16-17 TB data distributed on 7 NAS servers. Works quite well.
The big pain with Bridge is that it isn't a very coool photo-database. LR on the other hand cool work like the photo-db. LR can reference photos on NAS servers and it has search mechanism and can function as photo-db.
I have a large bunch of photos with assigned keywords. Can I import these pictures in LR and have the keyword along?
can I alter the BACKGROUND COLOUR from the Grey to a lighter grey as in P/Shop Album 2.00 which is just what I want..I hate the darker colour as background..I have just purchased the Elements 11.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have several hundred videos I have taken, either with a Canon SD800, Canon S95, Canon T2i or a GoPro.
New videos I take on this equipment works just fine when adding to Lightroom. But when I try to import older files, I get error: video file not imported with the quantity in parenthesis.
I have tried purging the video cache, I have tried task manager - disabling dynamiclinkmanager and dynamiclinkmediaserver. Occasionally I will be able to import one or two videos after doing this but then it hangs up again.
Running Win7, LR4.1.
I don't have anything else up and running when I do this.
