I am running AutoCAD 2009 and the drawings are "tables" per say.....with a generic block template from an engineering company, along with text and the company logo.

This worked for a few graphs, then all of a sudden Photoshop started opening the .eps file such that it was shifted and only part of the image was showing up (the rest cannot be seen and is just cut off).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am converting an Excel spreadsheet to PDF using the PDFMaker macro. How do I set a Print Area and still maintain hyperlinks during the conversion?
You seem to have to choose between defining a Print Area OR maintaining hyperlinks. Is there a way to get both?
If I select a Print Area before invoking the PDFMaker macro, I get this message:
Acrobat PDFMaker cannot create Tags, Bookmarks and Links for Worksheets with Print Area other than 'Entire Sheet'. Clear the 'Print area' field in Page Setup to get these features. Do you want to proceed and creat a PDF file without Tags?
I am currently trying to make my AutoCad more powerful as a tool of Engineer but not Draftmen (My boss never thing about it, I could only get a standard AutoCAD, not AutoCAD-EMP).
I want to make it a tool for myself to analysis the building system, with excel (and VBA)
The first tool I wanted to create is an underground drainage capacity analysis tool. But I meet the first difficulty, how can I automatically transfer the information inside CAD drawing to the excel?
Say, There is a drainage system with 2 manhole and 1 pipe,
the Manhole have 3 attribute : Name, Model, Level, (and the X-Y coordination),
I Create a Block with attribute "Name ; Model ; Level".
and then I insert the Blocks and place it in correct location inside the Layout Plan.
How can I create some script to "Scan" all Block inside the drawing and make an excel file with data like:
Block-Serial, X-Coor, Y-Coor, Rotated Angle, Name, Model, Level.
I am using Primo PDF virtual printer to convert Excel document into PDF format. However, every time I attempt to do this, PS Elements 10 opens and imports the document. How can I turn this off?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen starting CS2 the programme loads to the end and about three seconds after a message appears.
An error has been detected with a required application.
This does not happen with Image ready. I have installed PS7 and this is not affected.
Searching through various sites I found that CS2 can cause conflicts with Acrobat 8.0.
Error "...Model subsystem..." when you start Help Center from any CS2 application
Issue
When you start the Help Center from an Adobe Creative Suite 2 application (Illustrator, InDesign, GoLive, Photoshop, or Acrobat), you receive one of the following error messages:
-- "Model subsystem error: 1016" -- "Adobe Help Center cannot start. model subsystem returned this error: 1105" -- "Model Subsystem 1146: Adobe Help Cannot Start" -- "Model subsystem error: 1017" -- "Adobe Help cannot start: Model subsystem error returned this error: 1030"
-- "Adobe Help Center cannot start. model subsystem returned this error: 1"
I get the Model subsystem 1146 error.
I've re-set preferences and reinstalled the programme some ten times.
I still can't use Photoshop CS2 I really need Photomerge for my work.
When I link in an excel document to my model all parameters in that excel gets the unit (mm).
How can I change this? For instance I want some of the parameters to be an angle.
Recently I have been trying to build table driven products and ipart tables, but when I copy a member to create a new part number, upon exiting the iassembly author I get the following message "excel installation is required for this operation. failed to launch excel". I have a fully functional version of 2010 Excel installed which has been used so it should be recognized in the windows registry. I am running Windows 8 and Autodesk Inventor 2014.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have AutoCAD 2013 and often "paste special" excel files that automatically update when the excel file changes. The problem I'm running into is I work with a person who has uses an older version of CAD 2004, so I always save to the older format for him.
When I etransmit, I be sure to add the excel file, but when he opens the dwg, only the outline of the excel appears in his dwg, no content.
I have saved a psd file as a photoshop pdf and opened with Acrobat Pro. Is it possible to edit the text in Acrobat? I have read online that it should be possible, and when I open the file it shows the fonts as embedded, but the 'Edit Document Text' option under 'Content' doesn't allow this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my iMac to Mavericks, and am now having trouble printing from CS5. The message I get is "Can't print the illustration. The Color Management settings are inconsistent." I hadn't made any color management changes, so I assume this is related to the upgrade. I checked AI, PS, ID, and Acrobat, and all the settings are North American General Purpose 2. I opened Bridge, and it has the same color setting, and says that all CS apps are synchronized using the same color settings.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn Bridge, they have a way to get an excel file of a web gallery, which is so useful. Only thing is now I make my web galleries in LR, and I shuffle image order around. Any way to do that with LR too?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI have these PDF catalogs which are about 20 - 50MB each. Some of my customers are not comfortable browsing online so a digital catalog (here) works better for them... The same people generally have bad internet connections so I need to re size these PDF's so they can be downloaded rather quickly.
Starting with a 20MB PDF, I open all slides within Photoshop. I batch process the images from 300dpi to 96dpi , and shrink the size from 24 Inches across to 15... All the images are saved in a new folder, opened back in Photoshop and a new PDF is created. Considering both size and dpi has been clipped by a fairly large amount, you would think that the new PDF would be smaller... But its not, the 20MB version ends up around 60MB afterward.
I don't feel like purchasing Acrobat Pro because I know this should work within Photoshop.
I save .eps files in photoshop 7.0., open them in freehand MX,
make a .pdf and some pictures don't appear in the .pdf
(but the old ones do). I tried the whole process (from scanning on) but it doesn't work.
I installed the new full versions again...
any idea about the export preferences or preview formats (freehand says it doesn't accept TIFF previews..!?)
I created a magazine cover in ps the saved in .pdf format I am wanting to a a few artles I wrote and saved to .pdf and combine the. Like Mage cover, index page , articles about 8 saved.
I want them all in 1 .pdf combined instead of having to dl multiple files.
Has anyone had any luck exporting a Revit 3D model directly to Acrobat 3D? I can't seem to get it to work.I can export to AutoCAD and then to Acrobat 3D, but I lose all embedded Revit information.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI´m having trouble editing images from Acrobat Pro XI in Illustrator CS6. AI is inconsistent in how it saves the new image, sometimes it´s no problem, Acrobat updates the new image and it´s fine. Other times (could be the same image, only seconds later and without changing any settings) it wants me to save the new image on disk...?!

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen using the "Save Optimized" dialog in Adobe Acrobat X, we can see that Acrobat strips out a LOT of stuff from the document to make the size as manageable as possible. But I can't for the life of me find the checkbox corresponding to whatever it is that strips LINKS from the document.
When I use the "Save Optimized" option, then try to view the document in Reader, I can see the cursor change to a hand when it hovers over what SHOULD be a link, but there's no url attached to the link anymore. Clicking does nothing. "Save Optimized" kept the link there, but stripped the info of where the link is supposed to take the user.
what to uncheck to make sure links remain intact after a "Save Optimized"?
I have a problem pasting an Adobe Acrobat snapshot as new picture in PSP4. Pasting it directly e.g. to MS Word works fine, but I would need some of the snapshots also as a jpg file.
I use the Adobe Acrobat X (ver 10.1.2) Standard snapshot tool to copy a picture and then try to paste it to PSP4 as new image. The result is every time the same: about 7 mm slice from the right is moved to the left side of the image. See attachment.
The attached file is an example showing 7 mm slice from right side of the image on the left side.
Any success in using Photopaint or Draw to edit PDF's within Acrobat.
I have Acrobat Pro 7.0. When I change the preferences to use PhotoPaint/Draw Acrobat will open the object and I can edit but when saving it wants to save to a new file - not back into the PDF.
Since I've upgraded to CS3, I've had this problem. Every document I design in Photoshop will look perfect but will add a blue tint to the canvas when converted into a PDF. It will do this whether the file is a PSD or JPG. It doesn't matter if it's text only or text and a photo. It only puts the blue tint on the actual PS canvas area, so if the canvas size is 5x7 and the document size I choose for the PDF is 8.5x11 then the blue tint is only on the 5x7, not the outer edges of the PDF - it is white.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't have photoshop and all the instructions say to save the transparency directly to pdf in photoshop. Saving to gif, tiff, png and opening as a stamp in acrobat or copy and pasting the transparency from paint.net into acrobat always removes the alpha channel.
