Photoshop :: (PDF) Acrobat X Save Optimized Option?
Oct 14, 2012
When using the "Save Optimized" dialog in Adobe Acrobat X, we can see that Acrobat strips out a LOT of stuff from the document to make the size as manageable as possible. But I can't for the life of me find the checkbox corresponding to whatever it is that strips LINKS from the document.
When I use the "Save Optimized" option, then try to view the document in Reader, I can see the cursor change to a hand when it hovers over what SHOULD be a link, but there's no url attached to the link anymore. Clicking does nothing. "Save Optimized" kept the link there, but stripped the info of where the link is supposed to take the user.
what to uncheck to make sure links remain intact after a "Save Optimized"?
When saving images for the web, I know that it is best to..
file>save for web>save it as a jpeg high 60, depending on what kind of image> and make sure the optimized button is checked...
I was told that there is not point in saving images just as...
file>save as> and then choosing 12 on the quality bar which is titled 'image options' under the JPEG OPTIONS pop up which appears when doing this.
1. What is the difference. Why does saving for web make the image size so much more smaller. I tried test and it doesn't seem the quality changes so what makes the image smaller in size when saving for web?
2. Is saving like this
file>save for web>save it as a jpeg high 60, depending on what kind of image> and make sure the optimized button is checked...
the same thing as saving like so
file>save as> and then CHOOSING 8 on the quality bar (this is also jpeg high) which is titled 'image options' AND CHOOSING BASELINE OPTIMIZED UNDER THE SECTION WHICH IS TITLED 'FORMAT OPTIONS'....
i made a button using gregs plasma effect when i go to save it i can't get rid of the white around the edges and i saved it in the highest settings i could what can i do to get rid of the white
What are the correct settings for saving as optimized any web site design. I've tried several different settings but no matter how I save it, it always loads the site on internet a piecs at a time, very strange. Never the entire site even when I save Css.
problem with ImageReady saving the optimized output as .gif file. I create a psd file in PhotoShop then edit in Adobe ImageReady. I create the slices from guides, set my output setting, then when I do File, Save Optimized Settings and try and change the Save as type, it will not let me save as .gif. Only .html or .jpg. How do I make it save as .gif
I created i a rollover image in photoshop for a web site and i imported it into imageready i set up the different states for it and it works right know the probalm i'm having is that in order to get the image into dreamweaver i need to Optimize the image. What happens is the image gets very contrast and fuzzy looking.
I have always saved my work (both in CS4 and CS6) as .psd and .pdf. I am working on a new .psd just as I always have but when I try to save it there is no option to save as a .pdf. I created it in CS4 and the option is not there and I have also imported the .psd into CS6 and the option is not their either.
I cannot save pictures in jpg anymore in Photoshop cs4. I work with raw images and save them first in tiff, then in jpg normally. But this option does not show anymore on the list to "save as".
I have problem in using 'save for web' option in adobe Photoshop cs6 recently. Each time I try to save for web, it gives me this warning: The operation could not be completed. The system cannot find the path specified.
How can i turn it off? I don't need that suffix "_copy" after all names if he see that name is already exist in this folder.
Its like - i use PSD file, save as - then change file type to TGA - and voila! - he add that "_copy" to name. Then i need to click to needed name (or delete "_copy") and save then. I actually lost a few moments of mah time to do that. How can i skip it, i want save faster - i saving one file like thousands times per day (working on texturing) and i don't want to write an action to every file i save? (in CS this problem is not exist and there is no way to check off box with "save as copy" its not available).
how to accomplish creating a web optimized graphic with a smooth gradient using PS7.
it seems that you will not be able to generate such a graphic using the default settings in photoshop.
I am right now using the maximum number of colors allowable in the 'save for web' optimization tool (which is 256 for both jpg and gif apparently) I know JPGs are the file type for the job generally speaking, but without optimization the JPG is too large to use for a web page header.
I need to open a PDF file that has multiple pages. On "FileOpen" it comes up with Import PDF. There are 21 pages. I know how to highlight all the pages so they all load at once. Do to the volume of work this is impractical. Control+A will not work for this.
1. Is there a way to have "Open" select all, no matter on the number, pages into Photoshop 13.122. On "Save As" it defaults to ".psd". I want it to default to ".jpg". I'm doing several hundred plus.3. Also do not want it to ask me if “OK”, just do the save.
All I want to do is bring in the "PDF's" and brake the multiple files to a singe page ".jpg" or "PNG" file and rename the file just before the save.
I went to save a file with Alpha channel, RGB, 32-bit as a .tga but the file format wasn't there under the save as options. I've done it before and don't understand why it's not working now. I've tried everything - even ran install again. Didn't UN-install first - should I? I've even opened previous .tga files and tried to do a "save as" so I can change the name, but .tga not available. Even had the tga file open, then just hit save and it came up with a "save as and only gave about 4 options. This is an install on a laptop with a partioned drive running Vista 64. The adobe programs are installed on the c: drive in the Program files (x86) folder.Only thing new in my system is the addition of a second monitor and a cordless bluetooth mouse. Also, the text engine is goofed up - can't work because the text tool engine can't initiate.
Just got/learning PS CS2. I noticed when I first loaded CS2, I had an option to save as .JPEG. A few days later, the option disappeared. Even when I open an original .JPEG, the Save As option does not display .JPEG as an option. For web work, I need to be able to quickly save to .JPEG (from the save as option) and I can't figure out why it is not available. I do have the Save for Web option, but it take a bit longer to use.
Photoshop just becomes unresponsive until I use alt+f4 to close the invisible option dialogue. As a result, I'm currently unable to do things like open PDF files or save JPEGs.
I'm working on a print document and do not understand the behavior of Designer Pro X9 concerning image optimizing. When I drag an image from explorer onto my document, I'm being prompted (as expected) to decide, whether I want to import the original size image or a resized version. Choosing the high resolution version gives me the full size bitmap to work with on my page.
But as soon as I drag the same image from the bitmap gallery onto my page, I get a downsized version of 1920 x 1280 pixels, which also immediately appears as a copy in the bitmap gallery. Why this happens and if and where I can prevent X9 from doing this?
On some of my projects, the Save option is grayed out and unavailable. I can do a Save As and overwrite the previous file (which gives me no backups), but a simple Save doesn't work. It's not a central file or linked to any other files.
Is there a way that coreldraw x5 by default saves as to an older version e.g. 12, 13,. [ so we don't have to specially go to the save as dialog box] automatically just like there's an option in AutoCAD?
I have problems with saving my drawing using the save option. I click save but when i close the drawing and reopen it i realise it didnt save at all. I actually have to 'save as' to get it saved.
I am updating a customers website now and have added a couple of items to a page and I now receive a pop up error - OUT OF MEMORY.I have optimized the photos and saved/closed/restarted but still not removing the error -
My NZ DMR-XW380 Panasonic DVD recorder will only read DIVX or XVID video files. My Corel Video Studio 12 has no option to save a clip as DIVX or XVID. I am able to save the clip and convert it with Oxelon, but can Video Studio 12 be set up to do this?
