View 1 RepliesAny solution regarding why video is not playing LR 5.2? In the past video worked fine until this update. I have looked thru the threads and see that other people have had a similar problem. One person said she reinstalled numerous times and then suddenly it began working?!?! I have downloaded all updates and it does not work. Yet I have confirmed that i can go to the files directly and open/play them using other programs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Corel VideoStudio X4. I'm facing problem that there is no any audio for any type of video playing. AVI, MP4.. any type of file I play, no audio plays.. All files are checked & plays correctly in any video player, GOM, VLC player etc...
No problem with video files. there is no audio for sample files provided by corel itself. When I play mp3 like audio files, sound plays perfectly. But some problem with video files only... I edited one file but no audio for that file also when I play edited clip in video player like VLC.
PC Configuration:
Windows 7 Ultimate.
HP DV6 laptop. 1GB graphic card, i5 2nd Gen.
After rendering a few clips in my timeline for playback, my video tracks are no longer playing back. The timeline time marker plays, the time counts, and the audio playback is working correctly, but the video stays on the frame in which playback started, and does not move change until pausing playback.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am a amateur editor and do the basic stuff with the editing like color fixing and cropping/cutting. Since the time, i switched to HD videos the video does not render and playback smoothly in preview mode.
However in other editing programs like Vegas it plays back like butter but i am not into Vegas and i dont like vegas. I use Videostudio only.
the video plays back like in 1FPS or like 2-3FPS i mean the videos one picture is shown then directly after 2-3 seconds. The audio is howver smooth.
I have a Duo Core 2ghz Intel Processer,
I had VisualStudio x5 working fine on my Windows 8 Pro machine. I've been using this for a few months without issue. I imported some video from my phone in .MOV format, and had the message that I needed install quicktime to work with this video. I did so, edited video, and posted it.
However when I then imported video from my Canon camcorder, AVCHD format, I received a crash dump in trying to play any of the clips. What's strange is that I was able to look at old sections of clips I'd saved and play them find. Only the newer clips were an issue. I suspected corrupt files, re-imported things and it didn't work. I even recorded new video and that didn't work. I was up to date on patches from Corel, according to the product.
I was in a bind, so I decided to upgrade to x6, even though none of the features were really important. I upgraded, imported the same videos I'd had issue with in x5 and they worked. Problem solved, or so I thought.
I had to run x5 to access some old clips to put together a short reel. I did that and things worked fine. I then went back to x6 and received crash dumps on all imported files, including the video I had just imported. I can still play the edited pieces of clips I separated out in x6, but I cannot play any full clips.
I've rebooted multiple times, removed quicktime, uninstalled and reinstalled x6, no go.
when I try to preview my project, I do not get any video. I can hear the audio though. When I preview individual clips I have both audio and video.

I came across this one tutorial that I'm liking, but in many parts he doesn't explain enough. He just kind of says "Click this, press that. View 4 Replies View RelatedI started a Premiere Pro CS5 project on my PC at work. Video files played both audio and video, life was good. Unfortunately my PC at work is slow, so I want to continue working on the project on my home PC. Uploaded the needed files with Sugarsync, went home, but when I open the project here all the video files only play audio.
So I know the files CAN display video, so it must be something to do with my home computer and CS5 install? I tried reinstalling PP CS5, no change. Is there a setting I may have accidentally disabled at home to force audio only?

I don't know what happened. Initially everything seems fine. Then when I use loupe view to see video, the view only shows the left top corner (about 60% of the length and height). And I can't change (zoom out) back to show the whole video.

I have tried both Lightroom 4.4 and 5, with same results.
I have video in these formats: mts, mov and mp4, and they all have the same problem.
I properly have done some "adjustments" of my PC, but cannot find out what has caused the problem.
Description:
In the Import window, I see this message "Preview is unavailable for this file". After I press Import, I get this message: "Video support is disable"
For those movies already importer, I can move the cursor over the movie, and view "fast replay" of the movie. However, the play button do not show.
Pressing spacebar only zoom. As do double-click. I can view the videos using QucikTime or Media Player.
I am using Windows 8 64 bit.
The view of the window of my Library is not the way it used to be. I miss for instance the zoom, compare, 'spray' tool etc. Recently I could add and delete items, but now I don't see the arrow to do this(?) View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing latency when playing movies in LR5. I'm connected to my Windows server from a new/fast Macbook running 10.9. Right now, the batch that I'm experiecing this with are .MOV files, but it's happened with other formats as well. The movies play fine when I open them in QT from Finder, so I know it's not the server connection, which uses Gigabit ethernet. When I play them through LR5, I often experience delays where I'll hear the audio, but the video is frozen. Then when I swittch back from Loupe to Grid view, I get the spinning wheel for a while. This even occurs on short movies - 2-3 minuyes long, under 5MB. This should be an easy thing to implement, and baseline for offering movie capabilities.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Canon DC210 SD digital camcorder, which records onto mini DVD's. The camcorder has no USB, IEEE 1394, connector on it. The only way to get video clips onto my PC is to put the mini DVD into the DVD drive of my PC. The video clips are stored in .VOB format, which is a shell for MPEG2 data. The camcorder records a timecode in the video file, but when I use the Capture/Import from Digital Media function that timecode does not get brought into VS X3. I have searched the forum, and see several articles about timecode imports from DV tape, but I didn't find anything about importing from digital media.
I have tried putting a check in the Add Video Date Information as Title checkbox, but I do not get the timecode in the imported file. Canon assures me the timecode is there ready to be imported along with the MPEG video data, but I can't get at it. I have tried importing directly from the mini DVD, and from the .VOB files saved on my hard drive, still no timecode in the imported clips.
im having this problem with the "File > Import > Video Frames to Layers" the box comes up like this:
as you can see the box is white, the file i have imported if MP4 and iv tryed this with 2 files now, and get the smae thing, iv also tryed ans mov file the which dose show a preview but it still showd the black bar at the bottom and no time bar and such
iv uninstalled the and reinstalled Photoshop and have the latest version of Quik time installed
it's Photshop CS5 that im useing running on 64bit windows 8, i was priviously runing 32bit windows 8 and and this worked fine, then upgraded to 64bit and now this problem has occoured
To remind me when the video was taken, I'd like to have a timecode / timestamp overlaid on the video.
Per the VS X4 User Guide: To enable timecode retrieval for AVCHD
1. In the Capture Step Options Panel, click Import from Digital Media.
2. Select the thumbnail of the video file. Click Start import to launch Import Settings.
3. In Import Destination, select Insert to Timeline or select Add video date information as title.
4. Choose Entire video to import the timecode of video file to appear as a title spanning the entire duration of the video. Choose Duration to import the timecode as a title within a specified duration. Click OK to apply the settings.
In Smoke 2013 we cant seem to see the record Timecode. The source TC is there just not the record.
Is there something that we have to turn on?
