View 1 RepliesLets say I wanted to put a profile image generated from google earth (a Jpg or Bmp ) on a layer in a side view of autocad for reference, How would I insert it. I have done that with 2008 but can't do it in 2012.The image from google earth has dimensions on it so it would be easy to scale properly to my drawing. So I would like to be able to put it on my dwg. I don't know what (tags means on this page. Also I have saved the image on my computer and I have tried to show it on this post but don't know how. The image is a jpg The format of this posting is asking for a url. as you will see I tried to put C:usersonkelbobdesktopprofile.jpg below but it didn't work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm still new to the program and I'm wondering, is there any way to just put normal text in your video, not use the flashy title text that I can only find?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI use Lightroom 5 for managing my web galleries, but I have my own software to run them. My workflow is this: I use "Publish to folder" to generate the needed JPEG images, and I use another software to sync them to my serverI use the "Web Gallery" feature only to define the list and the order of photos in each galleryI use the "Export..." feature in Web Gallery to get the .XML file with the list of photos - this file can be directly read by my softwareThe problem is that "Export..." also generates the images for the gallery, and after the XML has been generated I have to stop this task manually - it's an annoyance. Furthermore, it would be nice if I could export all my galleries in a single step, with multiple files generated, one per gallery. I don't need anything else other than the image file name: the metadata are extracted from JPEGs. All file formats would be ok (XML, TXT, JSON, whatever).
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow would one generate a shape (e.g. a roto'd shape that is tracked) and enable its use as a path for a text write-on?
The text node only has one input and if I set text to write on a path then there is only a straight line to manipulate from scratch - with no options to load or save or connect as far as I can see...
I have a text file with a list of image tile names with their bottom left hand easting and northing see attached. I have a lisp that asks for the name of the image then should insert the image at its coordinate with a predefined scale and rotation but it isn't working so I would like an alternative method to test.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn an effort to keep a sort of "script" of my project I am hoping that there is some way to extract all the titles in a project file as a single text file? Have installed X6 Pro and like it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just edited some photos for a friend who was short on time, and now she would like a list of the steps I took in editing. Is there any way of listing those steps in a text file I could send her?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a project created in X6. In several places throughout the project file, there is title text overlaid onto an image. The project file shows the titles as centrally placed, but when rendered the titles are displaced to one side, usually the right when facing the screen.
To illustrate, this is a screen shot image of the project file centered on the opening title. It shows the whole UI and the actions taken to render the project to a video file.
I'm making a video with mostly titles. I have found the video transitions to be very choppy, so I've opted to control the opacity fade of each individual title, creating keyframes that move from 0%-100% then back 100%-0%. This simulates a nice fade from black, fade to black effect. However, when i do this all of the text in my titles pixelates.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a hard drive published service configured in Publishing Manager that creates JPGs of any images that are placed into that published service. For the most part all the settings I specify on that service are adhered to when I "publish now". However one setting appears to be ignored and that is File Naming | Rename To:.
In the configuration of that option in Publishing Manager I have the rename to option set to "Filename - Sequence". When this option is set the example text it states at the bottom of file naming displays what I expect it be on output. However, when I "publish now" the file exports but with the original file name of the photo. Let me explain further. Typically when I've fully processed the photo I use the Lightroom file rename option to rename the file from the orginal import name to something more descriptive.
This seems to work fine with both the information in LR and the actual file name being correctly displayed. Even when I select the file for publishing the example file name show matches the new name after rename. However, the actual file generated always as the original imported file name. This happens for all files.
I'm using LR 5.2 on Windows 8.1.
I can't see any difference in the import dialog when this preference checked or not checked ... where should I look for the effect of this preference?
View 13 Replies View RelatedEither in Library or Develop, when pressing the Backspace button, nothing happens. Files don't get deleted.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn some cases I like the way Nikon processes the image on my D7000 and the resulting jpg image. If I could just use a preset to get the same result from a RAW file it would save a bit of time.
I assume Nikon is using some formula to come up with that 'look' and so any preset to create the same image from a RAW file created by either the D7000 or a D3 or D700? Or maybe they do it dynamically dependent on some image content logic? There are presets for film types, so maybe there are some presets for internal camera processing modes?
I am wondering if there is any way to extract the titles in the title track to a text file? The Project Files don't seem to have the titles incorporated in them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe jpeg files generated with LR export menu are not displayable on my TV (store on a DNLA server), instead of Jpeg generated with CaptureNX2 (from the same Raw file).
View 16 Replies View RelatedAs you can see by the image below, my menu bar titles at the top are small and blurry, plus anywhere there is a text field box (i.e. length & width text fields in the Image Size window) it is collapsed vertically and therefore I can't see what my values are. You can also see the 3 check mark boxes at the bottom of the Image Size window are cut off. I previously had CS6 installed on a Window XP machine without any issues. Now that I have "upgraded" to Window 7, this is what I get for results after the install.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've added titles to my photos which show up in a slideshow. However, when I email these same photos, the recepient cannot see the titles on the bottom of each photo. How can I correct this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a batch of 42 photos and laboriously entered titles for each one. At about the 40th, I discovered the program had copied into all the picture titles the most recent title entered. So it had overwritten my work. I started over and entered titles again. This was not a synch action on my part and there were no efforts to have a repetitious action that might apply to the pictures included in my collection.
I will understand this is probably some kind of "feature" but if so where do I turn it off? This is Lightroom 4 and involves both raw and jpg files.
I'm currently using Lightroom 1.4.1 and am interested in upgrading soon, but wanted to know if there's a way to preserve all my keywords, captions, titles, etc. when I convert to a newer version, say L4.4?
View 34 Replies View RelatedI just realized that I have lost all my titles and captions when I had upgraded to LR 3.5. I thought when I was moving my LR catalogues to my new computer, I might as well upgrade. Now I find out that not only have all the original file names been lost, or dropped (only my custom name&sequence.dng shows up, but now i realize that all the hours & hours of titling and captioning all my images in LR 2.6 is missing. Does this mean that I have to go all the way back to my last back-ups of LR 2.6? and then what?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere is "Ignore camera generated folder names when naming folders" on preferences tab, but I couldn't find a usage for this option. With a camera card including different folders, I can not see the folder names in my card on the import panel.

View 1 Replies View Relatedchanging the font size that's used in the titles and captions of pictures when I create a web gallery.
I'm using LR to create web galleries of my son for my family to see him growing up and I like to use the title and captions to put comments about each picture. Some of the people who view these galleries on-line have poor vision and need to see a BIGGER font. The only font size for titles and captions seems to be embedded in LR and it's mighty small, any way to increase it?
can you add text to your pictures in Lightroom 5? also, what about your copyright or watermark?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried looking up how to do this and been unable to find anything. I would like to write something closer to a textbook where there is a lot of text on each page, but perhaps a few images dropped in. But, the layout would need to be custom. I
View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to embed long text strings to image metadata, in order to copy and paste memories written and related to these images. As an example, I'm keeping a sailing logbook and I would like to add the daily entries to pictures but I have run into problems when sharing images elsewhere. The string length exceeds the metadata standard lengths.
Which standard metadata fields allow longest text strings that I could use for my logbook entries without the fear of losing them when exporting or sharing them elsewhere?
I sometimes use a trick of creating a virtual copy to get a text element of a NxN image. For example, I might use 8 images for a 3x3 and need a fourth "image" (i.e., column 1, row 2) for text. I like to take image 3 and make a virtual copy, then get that looking the way I want as my text box. When I print, I don't have to create a collection to order my images as long as the sequence-taken, along with the text box in position 4, is okay. I guess in LR 3, the virtual copy sorted after the original.
Well, I just tried the trick and the virtual copy comes before the original. I still wanted to shy away from creating a collection, so played another trick - I used the option to change the capture time under the Library module's Metadata menu, and bumped the text box up 1 second later. But the sort hasn't changed! I even forced a reconsideration of the sort by changing from capture time sort to added time sort, then back again.
Though I'm being "devious" here, it does seem to not be working correctly. Maybe sorting ignores metadata of virtual copy images?
How can I go to see next image from the folder list in situatiom when I opened some picture, and looking at it? There is no arow for "next image"? As i see, I must open all pictures from sam folder, and then I can use ctrl-tab to go to see any picture from the folder list.
