Lightroom :: Watermark Editor Doesn't Display Copyright Symbol
Jan 1, 2014
I've downloaded some new watermarks to my computer (into word) and they will display in my watermark editor in Lightroom 4. However, when I use those downloaded type styles, the copyright symbol displays in the bar below but does not display on my photo. I've also used alt0169 but it still isn't visible on my images.
I want to put a watermark along with a copyright symbol on some of the photos that I took ( the letter C inside of a circle). I have no problem getting a watermark on the photos, But I can't seem to find out how to find the symbol. At the present time I have Photoshop Elements 11 on my computer.
So I have a number of watermark presets saved in the Watermark Editor. They are graphical ones that I made in LR3.6. Now in LR4 most of them don't work. They don't show up when I try to apply them on Export, and when I go into the Watermark Editor and try to select the preset the Editor shuts down. I cannot delete the presets, I cannot do anything with them. It just crashes.  I found that I can and have been able to create new presets using the same graphical element in the Watermark Editor. But since I cannot look at the original presets I don't know if they are the same way I set them up originally. So how do I clean this list of presets up? Can it be cleaned up? I don't want to be dealing with a list of more than 20 presets all of the time.
My first question is, does anyone know the legality's of taking an image with a watermark on it, changing it with photoshop and removing the watermark?
Granted, I know that the watermark is there to prevent a picture as being claimed by someone else. However if that picture is changed and no longer the original, is it then fair game to remove the watermark?
I am using Photoshop CS3 and I am in need to putting a copyright label on my album of photographs for online use. I there a simple way to add this to each photo all at once?
I could use my watermarks without any problems in LR3 but after checking out the trial of LR4 this works selectively on only some of my images. Looks to me like a bug
how to get a copyright symbol (c inside a circle) into a text frame in VS?
In the past (other programs) I have found it in wingdings, but exploring all the keyboard keys (upper and lower case) in each of the wingdings fonts in VS text mode has been fruitless.
I've been using Lightroom 4 since just a few weeks after it came out and been happy with it. My Canon T3i was new to Raw, but I haven't had any issues importing and images looked as I expected the output to be before editing. I have a preset of my standard settings that I apply during import.  I upgraded to 4.2 this week and I took some light painting shots and when I imported 40+ RAW images, I watched one that I really liked in the preview change from what I expected, to a much darker and overly blue image. I thought at first this was due to my preset so I zereoed out the image but it still didn't look the same as the RAW outside of Lightroom. I deleted the picture from the library and added it again and saw before importing it was lighter and had the colors I expected and after importing it changed to overly blue with really bright spots in it.  I uploaded the RAW converted to JPG using Windows Live Gallery, which shows it as the camera preview showed it, and again after letting lightroom export to a JPG with no image adjustements that I know of URL....  Other pictures from this same shoot but of a green light look as I expect.I do have a Spyder 3 for monitor calibration in case there might be a profile issue.I imported the JPG I created outside of Lightroom and it looks better. If I drag the Black slider to -100 I get a similar look to what Lightroom did when I imported the RAW, although the slider then it positioned at 0.
My mind has gone blank. I've done this before but I've forgotten how. I'm trying to make a copyright message using the copyright (C) symbol in Photoshop, I've opened a new document, and selected text. Is it in Wingdings somewhere? I'm going to put it on to a web site using Dreamweaver.
Everytime i press the shift key and quotation mark key for the double quotation mark to display on my text on PS cs5 doesn't work. It display a double arrow instead.
When hovering my pointer over an annotative object, the annotative symbol does not appear. This works on my other computers but not this one. Is it a setting somewhere or is it a problem with the install? I don't remember if it ever worked correctly or stopped working at some point in my learning process on ACA 2011 over the last 6 mos.
I have PS CS4, and vista home premium. I am playing around with the Gradient Map, and everything is fine except for one thing. I know I must be doing something wrong but I can't put my finger on it. In the Editor, when I create a gradient with some transparency, the transparent bit never transfers itself to my image.
I have tried using the opacity stops to set opacity to zero, and the gradient bar is almost totally transparent, yet this has no effect whatsoever on either the image or the bar in the adjustments panel. There is no tick box for "transparency" such as there is in the gradient tool option bar so what am I doing wrong??
Every so often, and I have not been able to determine common cause, when editing mtext in the default mtext editor the text in the editor will display as some other font - handletter, TXT, whatever - something other than the Romans I typically use. And both the style and the font are set to Romans. When I finish editing, the final text in the drawing is correct, so it is more an annoyance than anything.
When I open the Corridor Section Editor, the Ribbon changes to the Section Editor ribbon, but the section window doesn't come up. If I pan around, parts of the drawing disappear. If I close the editor and regen, everything comes back.
