View 1 RepliesI need to take around 100 different photos every day and resize them to 7 different sizes in 7 different folders.
Can I automate this process so I place the 100 originals in one folder, open photoshop, run a proceess that will cut all 7 sizes and place the new sizes in the correct folders, all in one action?
Can this be done?
I have photos that are about 19 MB and wish to send them to a website that says the photos can be a maximum of 100 KB. I went to image and resize and decreased the PIXEL numbers ( the only way I figured out to move the size numbers down. When the top number showed 99 KB I saved it.
The problem is when I saved it to my flash drive and desktop and clicked on properties, the size was 18 KB, not 100 KB. And the image was a tiny one in the middle of my screen, not a full page like it was before. It is too small to use.
Why did the size say 99 KB in paint.net but 18 KB on my desktop and flashdrive? How do I re-size a photo to 100 KB and know that is what I am getting before I save?
I've taken a large quantity of digital photos during the rare snow we had this year. Am new at digital and unfortunately I took at too great of a resolution for what I want to do with them.
I am making GIF backgrounds for PPT, and some grouping will have as many as sixty pics in them. But the file sizes are HUGE (my goof) and GIF animators can't handle them.
Is there any way to compress batches of photos all at once? (Can't find that on the Batch command unfortunately) Resizing them one by one is laborious, even using hotkeys. Time is an issue.
Thanks
When trying to resize multiple photos in Elements 11 and I click the browse button, It tells me the folder I selected is empty!! It has 17 photos in it in jpeg format If I go on to the destination folder and select one, It tells me I need to select a folder!! Both folders are on the desktop. I am using a Mac 10.6

View 1 Replies View RelatedOnce a photo has been imported into an album, how do you resize the photo?
I am using PSE primarily for photos to my website and the photos need to be within a specific size. So when I import directly from my camera into an album, I need to check the size of each photo and edit the size before going to my website.
Photoshop CS6

I have a bunch of product photos that I need to resize to a square (1200x1200). I thought I might be able to import them all into Photoshop, resize them to fit the canvas.... center them all, one by one (not all photos are centered, this is my other issue) and then save them all at once. I have done all the above but cant figure out how to save each layer, as their respective layer name (ie. default photo name) with out flattening the layer and manually saving each one, one by one.
how to save as it wasnt a recorded action since all photos had some individual tweaking to center them on the canvas after I did a group (transform) resize.
I have several hundred small portrait photos of different size that I need to resize to a 120 x 120 pixels size. Currently they are not 1:1. I've previously used Picasa to resize images manually, and this gives me the opportunity of easily crop and resize so that the face is not cut or looks too small. But I need to do this in a batch since I have a huge amount of pictures. So far I haven't been able to figure out if Photoshop can detect the face automatically and crop/resize around it. The batch processes I have tried to create end up with the face/head being cut on several pictures.
I'm using Photoshop CC.
I have 5,000 photos that I took with my Go Pro camera in hopes to make a timelapse movie in Premiere. These photos come out of the camera roughly 1900x1200, and I'm interested in resizing all of them. I know that there are ways to do batch resizing. Clearly resizing each photo would take WAY too much time, especially when discussing 5,000 photos.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Paint.net to resize pics, images, or logos and to create window stickers. However, I am completely new to it all! After playing with it and using it for a few days, I've done a few things with gradients paintbrush and text.
1)When I am placing graphics AND text on a new creation, for some reason I can only add the text FIRST and not AFTER I add any graphics. (So, if I mess up after getting my graphics on there and realize I need my text moved, I gotta start ALL over!
2) Is there any instruction book on the program out there anywhere??? anywhere??? maybe a Paint.net book for Dummies???
3) How do I resize photo's?? How do I work with layers?
4) WHERE is the align tool? (or align object tool.....whatever it's called) I need a simple way to CENTER text and pics.....
The program has been useful to me from what I have learned by hitting the wrong buttons by mistake (lol) but I'm sure there are MUCH better ways to do things than what I've been doing......
I want to create a flat image of the tattoo around my wrist. It seems as soon as i place a photo in Photoshop I cant do anything like that with it. I tried using different layers to place the different photos in, but when I crop one, it crops the entire image.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have switched my "mouse" over to the number keypad like it says to do for the touchpad computer. I go to tranform image size and the outline surrounding the photo only moves up/down or side-to-side. How do I get the outline to move at the corners so I can easily manipulate the size? Either way - FN, CTRL, Win or other buttons do nothing to enlarge photo to where I want to set it. How can I accomplish this - any experts on touchpad conversion to number keypads out there? This is Win8 with PSE11. I just want this computer to get up to par to do some photo editing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI copied photo folders from my hard drive to lightroom 4 and edited them but then accidentally removed these folders from lightroom. I then imported these folders again into lightroom but all the edits I made orginally in lightroom don't show up for the individual photo's.
I backed up the Lightroom catalogue regularily. Is there any way I can reattach these edits to their respective photos'. There is lot of photo's involved.
When I merge LR5 catalogs the existing photos are overwritten by the incoming photos
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just been trying to resize some images on the latest version - 3.510.4297.28964 - and I have typed the measurements that I wanted into the print size fields on the resize dialogue. The actual sizes the program resizes the images to differ though - some look to be about right, whereas some come out much larger, but they all show the dimensions that I inserted in the canvas size box.
I'm sure I've done this before and this hasn't happened?
It has come to my attention that the new drag-resize feature only changes the master diameter of the brush but leaves the dual-brush diameter intact. It is the only shortcut that does this resizing improperly.
I would like to know if everyone else experiences the same problem. Is it a bug or is this way of resizing intended?
I mainly do digital paintings and this small bug makes the feature useless for me. I hope that it will be fixed at least in cs5.
I have noticed that if the export function uses constraint "Resize to fit"=Short Edge, than this version of lightroom does not resize the image. A maximum size jpeg is being generated.
A workaround is to use a different resize constraint, for example "Resize to fit"=Long Edge. This works as usual.
I want to resize a photo within LR so the resulting file size is reduced? Is the only way to create an Export Preset?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was hoping to avoid having to use an external editor such as PhotoShop but I want to be able to resize images while maintaining sufficient dpi (300). I know I can resize images in LR's export but not with the control that I would have in PS which will show me the best size (in inches) for a given dpi. By the way, after some research it looks like I'll be using AdoramaPix to publish the book.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI took photos with a DSLR some with a point and shoot, and a lot with my phone camera. DSLR photos are all good quality and when I export I want all of them to keep their original size, point and shoot photos should be reduced in size by about 20~40% depending on the crop I made and zoom when I shot. Phone pics need to be reduced by around 50% or more. One pixel size on export doesn't cut it since all photos are cropped and have various sizes but only some need reduced sizes due to phone camera taking bigger pictures than the quality keeps up with.I need some sort of 'export size for full sized jpeg' or something. (Without exporting each picture individually that is)
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a set of images that fit within 1400x1050. I want them to fit within 1024x768. As I have done before, I set the export directory, choose 1024x768 as the export size, highlight all of the images and click export. The first image in the set shows what iis going wrong. It starts out as 680x1050 and finishes as 680x1050. Clearly this is wrong - it is not resizing.
some of the images ARE corectly resized. Random ones are not.
i have some smart folders of my fav. pics. i want to export them to disc for my mobile devices the pics have different resolutions.
I want to resize them in %. I saw only the option in pixel.
if there is no option in LR, can you recommend a freeware tool for mac or win?
I am creating a photo book using LR 4.1 and BookSmart (so that I can design my own layouts which I can't do in the LR Book module). Everything is working fine except for resizing to fit BookSmart photo containers. In LR it appears that I can only resize to an aspect ratio and not to the actual pixels. For example, I have a custom size of 5.7 x 4, which LR crops to the aspect but retains a high pixel count (4798 x 3367 for example). The optimal size for the BookSmart container is 1710 x 1200 pixels. My understanding is the BookSmart downsamples the image to fit the pixel dimensions of its container. I have read that for best results you should have your photos in the optimal size to begin with, which avoids the downsampling. In LR I can't see any other way of doing this except in the Print module, which does not connect back to my collection in Publish Services. I am hoping to avoid having to edit each photo (over 400) in Photoshop just so that the size (dimensions and pixels) is optimal for the BookSmart photo containers. Am I missing something in LR that would allow me to set the size correctly for BookSmart?
