Sep 5, 2012I have a part that we will cut out on a CNC plasma machine that will undergo a drilling operation. We create all the parts that will be cut on the plasma in the sheet metal environment because of the simple flat pattern export. Our plasma machine has the ability to scribe lines and also create center punch marks. It distinguishes between cut lines, scribe lines, and center punch marks by layer name. I need a way to get the center points of the drill locations into their own layer.

Feb 7, 2013I want to use the Hole command to place tapped holes to hold a pair of shafts in place inside a part using setscrews. I can make the holes for the shafts without issue. While cutting the holes for the setscrews I thought I could use the "To" Termination option and select the shaft hole as the terminating plane. However, when I do this I get en error:
"The attempted operation did not find any intersection between the Toolbody and the selected 'To' termination face/plane. Change the termination definition or the feature (profile) position."
I can work around the problem by using the fixed "Distance" termination option but this is obviously inferior as it would require manual adjustment should the shaft holes need to be repositioned. Am I missing something?

Mar 1, 2014Win 8.1 64 bit A Toshiba Satellite laptop, LR 5.3. When I try to export I get a window without export buttons at the bottom to do the export. Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc.
I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots.
Makes LR totally useless.

If a crop size is set for a source image and "Crop As New Image" is clicked, the NEW cropped image will appear, however the Crop frame appears on the NEW image only scaled smaller. Is that normal? I'd not necessarily want to crop the NEW image a second time immediately afterward. This seems like strange, illogical behavior.

Photoshop :: Same Operation On Multiple Files?
May 21, 2004I have literally HUNDREDS of pictures that I want to put up. (There are a *LOT* more than what's up there now) I have to perform the exact same basic operation on all of them and I'm getting repetetive stress disorder.
The pictures are all extremely high quality so I obviously need to reduce it before I put it up. I take each picture file, reduce the width to 600, height to 450. Go to blending options, add a small bevel/emboss then save it as a medium-high quality jpg in a new directory with the same filename. (keeping the original high quality pic obviously) I then resize it to 200 pixels wide and save is as the same filename plus _t at the end to create the thumbnail picture.
Extremely basic stuff, but I have to do it over and over and over. Is there *any* possible way using photoshop and/or any other program or any combination of programs so I can automate it?
edit: On a side note I'm planning to re-do the entire site in php now that I've got a real host. (*note* the dns hasn't propogated yet thus the strange url) I want to make it so people can submit comments to all the pictures.

They ask for various levels of competence in photo restoration and ask you to repair some sample photos so they can assess what level of damaged photos you may be able to fix.

An unknown operating system error has occurred."I have looked up this error and from previous threads I have tried deleting the Save for Web library files and restarting, however this doesn't work (Unless I am deleting the wrong file?).

Photoshop :: Oil Paint Filter / Operation Could Not Be Completed
Aug 20, 2012I am getting. I'm running Win7 64bit, photoshop cs6 (also 64bit), have an i7 2600 and 16GB of RAM and an ati 5870 card running the latest drivers (12.8)
So, the operation could not be completed whenever I try to run the oil paint plugin and when I try to use the iris blur, my canvas goes blank. If I pull it out of docked mode and put it in a window, it's still blank until I move the window about and I can see my image, but as soon as I stop moving the window around, it's blank again.
