Photoshop :: Why Has CC Out Of RAM For Same Operation Handled Ok In CS6
Jun 25, 2013
I am having “Out of RAM” issues with operation CS6 can handle with no problems.Memory allocations (access) seem to be a problem. CC and CS6 preferences are set the same. I have 9GB of RAM on a 64-bit Windows system, and the RAM allocation is set to 85%. Sometimes a file from the RAW converter will not open.
When I draw an object with the rectangle tool then I can manipulate it afterwards with the pen tool (add anchor point). But when I merge 2 objects with "merge linked" the object seems to be rasterized and I can't manipulate it with the pen tool anymore. How can I prevent merged objects to be rasterized or at least be able to manipulate merged objects with the pen tool.
Just upgraded to CS5.1 I see contact sheet II has changed and is handled by Bridge / Output module.I don't like that you can't print directly from Bridge, but have to save as a pdf, then reopen the doc and print from Reader or PS.I can only hope that changes.
I created a custom layout in Bridge, 3.9 inch x3.9 inch at 300ppi. 3 across and 3 down. Made the contact sheet, saved as pdf. Opened in CS5.1Here's the problem. The document which is suposed to be 3.9.x3.9 (square) is actually 3.092 inch x 2.318 inch (not square!).
The reason for the problem is that I drag and drop the contact sheet onto another document template (it has logo, name, etc.) to print. The other document is 4.5" x 4.5" So the contact pdf doesn't fit the template. (This used to work great in CS3 as you didn't have to save the contact sheet as it was created. It was a layered doc which you could drag onto another doc / template.) I can't see any reason the contact sheet would not be the same as created in Bridge / output mod. when opened up in CS5
Pictures are not shown in the small window in Bridge, and if I click on a thumbnail, it opens CS with the message: The operation could not be completed. Not enough space. What can I do?
I have literally HUNDREDS of pictures that I want to put up. (There are a *LOT* more than what's up there now) I have to perform the exact same basic operation on all of them and I'm getting repetetive stress disorder.
The pictures are all extremely high quality so I obviously need to reduce it before I put it up. I take each picture file, reduce the width to 600, height to 450. Go to blending options, add a small bevel/emboss then save it as a medium-high quality jpg in a new directory with the same filename. (keeping the original high quality pic obviously) I then resize it to 200 pixels wide and save is as the same filename plus _t at the end to create the thumbnail picture.
Extremely basic stuff, but I have to do it over and over and over. Is there *any* possible way using photoshop and/or any other program or any combination of programs so I can automate it?
edit: On a side note I'm planning to re-do the entire site in php now that I've got a real host. (*note* the dns hasn't propogated yet thus the strange url) I want to make it so people can submit comments to all the pictures.
"OPR" has been set up to help people recover damaged photographs from the effects of Hurricane Katrina. If you check out the Operation Photo Rescue Blog that will give you all the information you need. I found the details of how to offer help on Week 5. They ask for various levels of competence in photo restoration and ask you to repair some sample photos so they can assess what level of damaged photos you may be able to fix.
I just bought Photoshop CS5 and I have a problem with HDR pro . when I am trying to mount 3 images together it act in a strange way ( the images appear and disappear many times) then when the window with the result appear and I say ok it open up in photoshop as a single image ( in the layers there is just 1 photo) and when I am trying to work it up with the Plug in/filter HDR Effex Pro (Nik softwear) a pop up window appear saying that the file is missing and the operation it is not possible.
I'm having trouble using the Save For Web function on Photoshop CS6. The initial dialog opens fine and I can select any file type to save to etc. Once I click 'Save...' I get the error "Could not complete this operation. An unknown operating system error has occurred."I have looked up this error and from previous threads I have tried deleting the Save for Web library files and restarting, however this doesn't work (Unless I am deleting the wrong file?).
I'm running a 2.6 GHz Retina Macbook Pro with the latest update installed for Photoshop. I have 16 GB ram.Strangely, I have a PC running the same version of Photoshop CS6 and it works fine for this function.

I am getting. I'm running Win7 64bit, photoshop cs6 (also 64bit), have an i7 2600 and 16GB of RAM and an ati 5870 card running the latest drivers (12.8)
So, the operation could not be completed whenever I try to run the oil paint plugin and when I try to use the iris blur, my canvas goes blank. If I pull it out of docked mode and put it in a window, it's still blank until I move the window about and I can see my image, but as soon as I stop moving the window around, it's blank again.
having problems with our new Minolta Pro? Using CS and when accessing the TWAIN for the scanner--it is still giving us errors pertaining to the SCSI ID (error #4 cannot locate SCSI ID or # ) We switched out the SCSI card for a Firewire?? How do we fool photoshop CS and XP Pro >> into thinking the firewire is the access to the Minolta?? Code:
I was making a web layout in Photoshop to use in Dreamweaver. (It is really just for a test to see how dreamweaver works...) Well, I had everything in the web layout sliced up correctly and when I tried to "save for web" it gave me this message...
''Could not complete this operation because an assertion has failed''
After installing Photoshop CS6 I am unable to scan from within photoshop. I went to the Epson website and followed the instructions given but still no scanner shows up in the File > Import command. I am also unable to complete the crop and straighten photos command from the File > Automate menu, I get a dialog box that states "A required operation is unavailable." I have used this feature for many years and it has saved me many hours of scanning, I need this to work.
I am using Adobe Photoshop Extended CS6. I have created a chart and add a timeline ( more than 400). When i am saving the gif animated file using Save for Web, I am getting am error. The error is : " The optimized image could not be generated, likely because it is too big and there is no sufficient memory. The image will not be displayed."
Also, I am not able to save the .jpg file. Is giving me the error : " Could not complete the operation. An unknown error has occurred."
This may or may not be an issue. If a crop size is set for a source image and "Crop As New Image" is clicked, the NEW cropped image will appear, however the Crop frame appears on the NEW image only scaled smaller. Is that normal? I'd not necessarily want to crop the NEW image a second time immediately afterward. This seems like strange, illogical behavior.
I want to draw operation drawings, I think, ı must do this like that; I must draw one ipt, and later I must draw drawings from this ipt, and idw's
1.drawing (operation); rectangular prism,
2.drawing (operation); rectangular prism and rectangular cutting,
3.drawing (operation); rectangular prism, rectangular cutting and hole,
4.drawing (operation); rectangular prism, rectangular cutting, hole and hexagon cutting,
when I change dimensions of rectangular prism, all four operation drawings must change, so I can't change location of end of part in idw's browser, but I can change location of end of part in ipt's browser, I want to change location of end of part in idw's browser, can I do this? or alternative solution...
I don't want to make, four ipt for each operations... I added a picture...

I have a relatively flat shape with many curves on the edges. I am trying to intersect a plane with all the curved edges and do a Boolean intersection. It worked with a less complex shape but this one has over 19000 objects. Any size limit on Boolean operations?
I want to do an animation of a subsea ROV operation with the props starting and stopping when the ROV moves. The props need to start shortly before the ROV actually starts its movement but I want to do this without having to animate the rotation every time. I want them to rotate the same RPMs every time and I want to have the freedom to start and stop when I need to.

I would like to reversing a Boolean operation if an error happens.
I have two solids that when I try to perform a Subtract Boolean Operation gives me an error. When the error happens I lose both solids. I would like to be able to reverse the subtraction in an event of an error so that I still have both solids.
Dim Solid_1 as Solid3d = CreateSoldFromPl(plinePoints1) Dim Solid_2 as Solid3d = CreateSoldFromPl(plinePoints1)Try Solid_1.BooleanOperation(BooleanOperationType.BoolSubtract, Solid_2) End Try
I'm certain there is a way to accomplish a "feathering" operation in Paint.Net, I just cannot find it. I am looking for details on exactly how to remove rough edges from some photos that I have cut out. It may be called softening instead of feathering.
I am getting the error "Operation could not be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.) Couldn't open "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.pkg".
I have experienced this problem before, but have found no solution. Sometimes I am unable to move the faces of 3DSolids and get the error messages like "Modeling Operation Error: Gap cannot be filled" or "Modeling Operation Error: No solution for a vertex". Haven't found a pattern of error yet, but today I copy clipped some 3D solids from another drawing into my current drawing and found that the move face wouldn't work after that. If I draw a simple 3D solid within the current drawing, the move face won't work; but, if I copy clip that same object into a new, blank drawing, the move face works.
I am trying to create a 150m buffer around points from a map features that I have attached from an SDF.
If I select any amount of points to buffer I get the following error:Unable to complete buffer operation
Using Civil 3D 2011 (come with Map 3D of course) 64 bit on a window 64 bit machine. Tried attaching sqlite db with no luck, then exported to SDF attached to dwg as datasource, themed, etc... tried feature buffer analysis again... same error.
