View 2 RepliesSince upgrading to LR 3.6 I am unable to export .jpg photos from Windows Explorer directly into Lightroom 3. I always use to be able to right click on any photo and 'open with' Lightroom 3 (.exe) before this upgrade.
Also, in the library files I could do the same with my RAW photos - i.e. right click on one of them and 'open with' the LR3 icon in the list, but am unable to do this now.
I know I can open up LR3 and import the photos, but I simply prefer going into Windows Explorer to pick and choose the ones I want. My OS is Win 7.
I am using Windows7 (64 bit) machine and CorelDRAW X6 (64 bit) software and also installed HP 5610 all-in-one scanner / printer but i noticed in CorelDRAW X6 / Corel PP x6 acquire image >> select source... and acquire.. are disable.
it is bug or need some more software to enable for CorelDRAW x6 because HP 5610 Scanner work with other software.
Windows Explorer set to open image files with PSE11, but when I double click on image in WE it launches PSE11, but I then need to click on Open tab in PSE11 to get it into work window. PSE10 did not have this problem

When I try to open ANY inventor file from Windows Explorer I get this error
I don't know why, the initial inventor splash/opening screen come up as normal, Inventor 2013 is the associated program by default, so I stuck as to why this is happening now when it never used to. I've not made any changes to my system, not installed any new software etc.

Recently I installed an update to Corel X6 after I had updated CS6 of Photoshop. Now despite choosing Photoshop as the default application, jpgs open in Acrobat.
Just choosing Photoshop as the default application doesn't change anything. They still open in Acrobat unless I first start Photoshop and open the file I want.
computer is running:
Windows 7 x64 SP1
Creative Suite 5.5
Illustrator 5.1
The problem is:
From within Windows Explorer, I can only open 1 Illustrator file at a time. To get a different file to open, I either have to drag and drop the second file into the tabs under the menubar, or I need to quit Illustrator and re-open it. Also, I can not open additional files from Explorer one-at-a-time if one is already open.
Quirks:
If I go to File -> Open I can select multiple files from within the Open File dialogue window and they open just fine. but i can't do it from within windows explorer.This used to work and now it doesn't.

But once Draw is open and minimized and I double click a second file from Explorer or on my desktop, the second file refuses to open in Draw. I have to Restore Draw and either use the file open command or double click the file again from Explorer once it's restored.

The company I work for needs to manage and watermark many different types of photos (perfect for Lightroom.) The only problem is, when Im uploading photos to our website, the Lightroom watermarks dont show up in the thumbnail preview of Windows Explorer. When I right click the image thumbnail and select "preview" the full size image preview pops up with the watermark. I guess my question is, is there any way to get the Lightroom watermarks to show up when viewing files in Explorer in large thumbnail view?

I tried to create some keywords for photos, and save them into oringinal photo files by selecting photos in library then choose "Metadata>Save metadata to file" from right-click menu.
But, when I right-click original photo files in windows explorer and choose "Content>Details", these metadata set in lightroom doesn't appear.
is there any way to view it without any 3rd software but windows explorer?
Trying to print from LR 5.3 RC using .icc profile in printer settings in Epson Pro 3800 driver the Color Settings and Color drop downs are disabled???? In other applications these options are enabled and selectable.

Why does this not work?
I'm trying to build a command to replace AutoCAD's "DI" command, to give distance and delta x, y, and z values in decimal and imperial, and keep the angles in XY plane and out of XY plane.
Why can't Windows Explorer show thumbnail previews of DNG's on my Windows 8.1 64bit Pc. I assume is has something to do with not having the DNG codec. However, on Adobe's website it says their DNG codec only works on Windows 7.
View 4 Replies View RelatedLR 4.3 was working perfectly till today when I attempted to import some images. I successfully imported images yesterday but today when I click the Import button the screen goes gray and lightroom shows 'not responding'. I have rebooted, checked for updates, created a new empty catalog, checked that there are no video files in the source drive, placed all the image files to be imported into temporary folder on the hard drive to avoid problems with card readers, and still have the same issue.
Occasionally the import page does appear but the source column is empty. When I click the Source + the screen goes gray again and no activity appears other than the popup that asks if I want to close the program or wait. The computer is running Win8, 12gbRAM, corei7/6 cores, plenty of drive space (4tb)
The export dialog box seems to work. I hit EXPORT and it goes to export. Then the operation gets stuck and the image won't export.

Is it not featured? If so, why? I've lost user presets before, and was expecting this to be part of the CC package.
I'm new to Lightroom so I might be screwing this up somehow. I pick the Overwrite without warning option on the export function. I've noticed that it pops up the dialog saying X file will be replaced. I click Ok and go to my pictures library and only the unedited original is there.

I'm trying to create a recursive function and the recursive part works great. I just need to be able to have the recursive function run other functions to actually do stuff.
Here is something I found that should do what I need, mainly run a function from a function name in a variable.

However I get the error "object required" on the "result = Application.Run(ftnName, argument)" line. So I'm guessing the Inventor VBA doesn't like this method of doing this. I'm just hoping there is a way to do this or this function will be useless or reduced to hardcoding functions which still defeats the purpose.

After selecting "Edit in CS5" I do not get the dialogue box asking if I would like to apply Lightroom adjustments.
Image opened in CS5 includes some adjustments from the Develop Module, but not the Transform Lens Corrections that I had applied.
Building a new website in BigFolio.
I'm a photographer but not all that computer savy. In fact unless I'm wrong just discovered that running images through "Save for web" in PS6 removes metadata as well so images load faster. That's what I want to do but it seems time consuming.
So my question is in the export function of LR4 is removing the metadata there doing the same thing because if so it would be tons faster.
