Lightroom :: 5.3 Always Start With Registration Dialog
Dec 15, 2013I downloaded LR 5.3 and LR 5.3 starts now every time and ask the registration questions. I always have to fill the dialog. What could I do? LR 5.2 worked fine.

Illustrator :: Move Dialog Box - Start With Values Set At Current Position?
Jul 17, 2012With an object selected and the Selection tool active, I press Return to get the Move dialog box.
For some reason, there seem to be random values entered in the Horizontal and Vertical fields. Instead, I just want the boxes to always start at 0 so that I can decide where it moves, instead of having to clear these fields manually.
how to get this box to behave as I want it to?

Unable to start application (0xc000007b).
I already tried several fixes like:
1. reinstall all redist(x64 & x86).
2. reinstall .Net 4.0
3. Use CCleaner for Registry error.
4. chckdsk for error and fix.still error so I've gone through this.
5. I uninstall Autocad 2014 completely, uninstall it manually one by one,deleted left over folder of autodesk or similar software to it, deleted its registry keys.just like the instruction on how to remove autocad completely in autodesk, I just followed it all. [after Reboot]
6 I Re-install it and still the problem persist.

Lightroom :: All RAW Images Have Disappeared On Start Up Of LR3
Feb 10, 2014I operate Windows 7 with Lightroom 3. My catalogue is held on an external drive from my PC. I have tried to open my catalogue today, but my images (17,000 plus) have disappeared, although my folders are still present. I have the RAW images backed up on a separate drive and the catalogue backed up in two parts by exporting these two sections as separate catalogues to another drive. NO MATTER WHAT I TRY I CANNOT GET THE IMAGES TO LOAD. This is the second time this has happened and I am loathe to start reimporting copies of the RAW files only to lose them (and all the work I have done on them) again. What can i do to get the images and the ones i have adjusted back? I find lightroom a brilliant tool except for this issue of losing images and work.

Dec 23, 2012I recently had to repair my Windows Home 7 Premium. Since the repair, a number of programs would not start...this System Error dialog appears:
The program can't start because .DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.
The programs were Lightroom 4.1, Acronis True Imeage 2012, AVG Antivirus and Vegas Movie Studio 10. Photoshop Elements 9 was unaffected.
I uninstalled and reinstalled all affected programs. TrueImage, Antivirus and Vegas started working again with no issues. Lightroom 4 kept showing the same error (even though the reinstall is always successful). I tried installing 4.0, 4.1 and 4.3, all of them have the same problem.

Further research appears that the temp file location is not found for lightroom 3 64bit, and it wants me to find it or reinstall lightroom 3. The problem is that my software is 16hrs away from me and I forgot to register it when I got it for school in July 2010. I am not sure what I can do here, but I need it for school. Whenever I open it, it gets to the "Starting 3DS Max 2012" screen and then freezes. The process freezes as well. Is there a way I can fix this? I have Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-Bit, and a Dual-Core Processor. My computer meets all the System Requirements except an insufficient video card.

Mar 15, 2014I have a preview cache error on start up. This persists even on re-start and LR will not progress beyond this point. I have tried a repair and a re-install but no joy. I also did a clean of the PC after to clear any registry errors too. Still the same happening. Photoshop works fine.

May 17, 2013I have just installed Lightroom 4 and want to get started by setting up more than one catalogue but I am not sure if you have to have one catalogue for every photo in addition to the separate catalogues I want for subsets of photos. Can I just go ahead and make several catalogues and sort my photos (which are on my hard drive) into them without making a catalogue that references every photo? Maybe it's a good idea to have one complete catalogue as well in order to make it easier to find that missing photo?Also I have read that it is a good idea to store catalogue files in a separate folder in the root, which appeals to my sense of organisation, but do I need to make separate sub-folders for my individual catalogues or can they just all go into the one folder? Can't wait to get started!

LR shows up on the dock but when I open it it comes up with:"The Lightroom catalog named “Lightroom 3 Catalog” cannot be opened because another application already has it opened" and "Quit the other copy of Lightroom before trying to launch."
Do I have to reinstall LR3 from the LR DVD? I do not want to use loose the catalog structure and edit info.

Dec 24, 2012Lightroom 4.3 won't start up on my Windows 8, 32 bit machine. Install went fine but when I click on the Lr icon the program appears to start up and I get the Lr in the task bar at the bottom and when I hover over the icon I get a thumbnail of the start screen. When I hover over the thumbnail of the start screen it appears on my desktop but when I move the mouse off the thumbnail the start screen disappears from the desktop so there is no way to get past this point.

Sep 6, 2012When you "x" out of the exit dialog, it should return to LR because you are telling it you've changed your mind, and would rather not exit. Instead it exits anyway. If this is "as designed", they should reconsider. The standard throughout my desktop and other apps appears to be that if you x out of a window, it undoes everything.

Aug 25, 2013I've used Lightroom 5.2 RC for a few weeks and successfully imported a few times. This morning, however, the dialog will not come up and the program hangs until I kill it in Task Manager. This is in Windows 8 64-bit.
I've tried removing the memory card, and all other USB-connected devices, but it still hangs. I'm a developer and can supply crash dumps if necessary.
